Both fantastic rifles but we are being led by the American market for design and features. I prefer a traditional air rifle like the Air Arms s510r so I purchased the Kymira because I prefer bolt action.
Just found your channel. I was particularly interested in the Ghost, but your nighttime hunting experience is serendipity to tuning in for information on the guns. I am new to PCP shooting and quickly ended up with four guns. My FX Crown was the first, followed by a Benjamin Akela and P-Rod. I had heard about the electronic Daystate's but never really figured them out until I bought a pre-owned Air Wolf. Wow! I am now a big fan of Daystate. I like your ideas and trends for picking certain rifles for different types of shooting/hunting and the different conditions. BTW I am located in the U.S. so no restrictions on FPE. The Ghost is one of two guns I would like to own. The other is the KaliberGun Cricket 2 Tactical.
@@fieldsportcymru4636 took it to the range today and it's definitely accurate but I had to adjust a few things to get it feeling comfortable but I really don't like the hard plastic butt at all so I'll be looking for something a little bigger and softer
You haven't had these rifles very long, maybe do another comparison video when you have had them both for a while to see if there has been any difference in reliability between the two. I like your vids and you have had some great rifles 👍🏻 keep the vids coming.
Hi. Well I will have to respectfully dis agree with your choice. I have an Alfa Wolf hp in .22. It is a beautiful piece of work. Looking at the ghost, to me it looks like a small potato cannon. But as you say I would hate to damage the stock on the alfa wolf. Where as the ghost would handle rougher treatment. As you I wish I could shoot the gun to its full potential. What is the diameter of a 5 pence? Thank you for you professional opinion.
Having the daystate alpha wolf and the FX wildcat BT and the FX crown all sub 12 . And seeing the BRK ghost on watching your reviews on it I went to my gun shop to look at the ghost 👻 . I could not see me throwing it in with mix in what I’ve got . Don’t get me wrong it’s a nice gun . But for a gun to carry around it’s a heavy gun the FX wildcat is half its weight . I can’t see me PX any of them in for the ghost keep up the good work
@@fieldsportcymru4636 A fantastic review and exceptionally honest as always. Well done m8. For me, of course the better gun because of the electronics, cheek piece that can be raised and stock which incorporates a longer picatinny than the Ghost is the Alpha Wolf. However, I would agree with you that Bang For Buck, the Ghost is better value overall. A five pence piece is actually 18mm in diameter (1.8cm).😀
Thanks brother. God bless you.........🎯👍 When compared to the Impact, RTI, Edgun, AGT and any other you are inclined to compare. Is one more vulnerable to issues? Such as leaks, or general reliability. Does one loose POI more easily? Many of us can afford one. But not all of them. Thanks again for your time.
To be honest the vast majority of these modern mid to high end PCP are superb ,accurate well made and quality . The RTI priest the early ones , had issues with some mags and the bolt was awkward but the Prophet is superb. AGT are excellent my Uragans were top notch though i dont like the air tank arrangement on the vixen . Edguns are very good but i was dissapointed with the Leshiy2 which sub 12 was not very good . And ,of course ,their Russian which is not good sadly. At the end of the day you really need to handle these rifles if you can and see which you prefer
Electronics are great until it goes wrong, at least with the Ghost you could actually repair it yourself. With the wolf your stuffed. Ghost every time even if they were the same price. Great video fella
I had a career over 40 years in electronics. I dined-out each day on failures ...... you should see my waistline! Reliable until it goes wrong ..... then you need an expert ..... brace yourself for the Bill.
@@mikesharp4033 Those who can afford the Alpha Wolf won't flinch at any repair bill. I am shooting an 11 year old Daystate Air Wolf with zero electronic problems.
I've purchased the Daystate alpha wolf in 22 this year very happy with the gun the only issue I have if the gun is not used for say three weeks the battery is totally discharged which is annoying do you have the same issue. Great review of both guns👍
Very cautious in buying a ghost. Already hearing problems and inaccuracies and there a very little reviews that test it's accuracy at sub 12. Fell for this before with other youtubers, oh this is the best thing very accurate out of the box and then nothing no follow ups . You buy the rifle and then turns out to be dogger.
Great comparison review. I have to say I totally agree with your choice which is why I bought a Ghost yesterday. I have the money to go for either of the rifles but the practically of the Ghost won me over. I'm a great lover of Daystates having already two in my collection but there was just something about the Ghost that made me go for it. With the money I saved from the difference I've actually bought another rifle. I know the electronics are bullet proof now (excuse the pun) but there is a niggling thought at the back of my mind that it's just something else to go wrong and probably very expensive to fix if it did. Just call me old fashioned but I'm a firm believer that sometimes less is more. Your videos certainly helped me in my choice as well so many thanks. I missed the dog's bone crunching today 🤣😁👍 Oh, just one question please, where did you get your extended bottom rail for the Ghost from?

Thanks for this review I was leaning towards the Ghost you have now convinced me cheers pal
Nowhere else can give you reviews and info like this channel.
Great stuff 😊
Thankyou for your very kind words
The rough stuff, how right you are!
Good points well made........Cheers
Where did you get the longer rail from on the bottom of the ghost?
PRS I THINK

The Ghost and Cricket are both top quality rifles and generate plenty of power for you lucky lot in the US who can make use of it . Good shooting.
Getting my ghost tomorrow and your review definitely helped that decision thank you :D

@@peterpikefisher got it from Brocock or Daystate

No mine holds its charge but ive not left it for any length of time between shooting it really maybe 3 or 4 days and its not moved
Don't know what type of battery they have fitted but modern rechargeables don't like being flat as it could damage the cells.
My daystate has no problem with battery, even one month without charger its still not empty battery
You have charge it fully before use this gun at the first time
