Nice straight forward pellet testing in real world conditions. 👍. I bought a 3 tins of FX 16 a few weeks ago, wanted JSB exact 15.89 but lads in shop said the fx 16 were made in the same factory, on base of the tins it did say exacts on a white label, they seem to shoot the same as the JSBs through my rifle. I think I should perhaps be shooting heavier pellet through my fac R12 but really happy with accuracy out to 60m on rats and corvids etc.
Such buzz when you hit the target at those ranges with a sub12, love it. It was ineresting that the slug jammed. Shows the diffence between manufacturers and the type of rifling used. I have put slugs from 8.5grain up to 13 grain through .177 & corresponding grains in .22 sub 12 FX liners with no issues. Sizes from 450 to 452mm, JSB, Zan & H&N. Sub12 definitely more accurate with pellets over slugs with a couple of Zan slugs. Wind does allow slugs to close the gap tho'.
I have a ghost in sub 12 .22 and agree it does rather well with the hades pellets, it also does extremely well with crosman piranha which i considered junk in my other rifles. The cheap BSA hollow points are also good for ratting. The only slugs tried are the ihunter armour piercing. Not bad, not great, but not hot any stuck either!
Few blokes I know love it 😂 top little unit. Andrew got 197 sparrow's. All air gunners would be nuts not to get one. Still m4 compact one of the best.😂😂 top vid mate brilliant groups.
I've not had much luck with slugs in a sub12 airgun either, though they haven't actually got stuck in the barrel. JSB Hades head size is only 5.50, so as the BRK Ghost shot them in a tight group I suspect the bore is on the small side, which might be the reason for the slug getting stuck. 40 yard results show it wasn't particularly pellet fussy.
Can I recommend another .22 pellet to throw into the mix when testing different rifles! H&N Barracuda 18.. I've an M3 impact 1.77 recently brought a 22 barrel kit a friend gave me the H&N 18's to try and OMG ..😮 A 30 shot string from 30yrds all within a £1 coin and they hit like a sledge hammer..
Well Lanks,, excellent job,, if you have 177 sniper XR I would love to see the results,, I had a slug stuck in a 177 FX Maverick,, sub 12 ,, I phoned them up and they said I was the only one with that problem 🤷🏼♂️,, well done anyway,, (JSB FOR ME)👍🤠👏👏
I've shot slugs through my .177 Ghost but to be honest, with not much success as to accuracy. It will shoot them and ZAN 13g seem to be better accuracy wise than the 10g. The fact it's a choked barrel on the Ghost, is the main reason. I keep hearing that BRK (Daystate) are supposed to be bringing out a none choked barrel but nothing as yet. I would certainly love it if they did. Enjoying your videos, keep them up 😊👍
@ctom4103 Thanks for that info but sadly I'm only sub 12ft. I can't for the life of me think why they can't do one for sub 12s when other manufacturers are. I know the AGT Vixen shoots slugs with great accuracy with its cold hammer forged CZ barrel, so that must be a none choked barrel. I assume Daystates a Lother Walther barrel as they only use LW so all we need is a shorter one. If CZ can do it, I'm LW can 🤔
Doesn’t like slugs the ghost only slugs from precision ballistics believe they are called the katana in .22 and mako in .177 as good as pellets but travel further
Like I said, conditions were not great on the day. But on any given day we all know PCPs shoot better than springers at further distances due to having no recoil.
@lancsvermincontrol This is true. I just get frustrated seeing you all treated like children, spend all that money and be legally limited to ⅛ the potential. I've dealt with a stuck slug. It takes a lot to get it out without marring the barrel.
@@lancsvermincontrol of course not. As addressed in another thread. Just the limitations irrational. Pretty soon they'll have government safety condoms with a solid flat ring 45mm down the shaft . "JUST THE TIP SONNY, YOULL NEED TO APPLY FOR A FULL PENETRATION CERTIFICATE BOYO!"
@@lancsvermincontrol out of curiosity. How is this enforced? Valving? Tp restrictor plates? Spring tension limitations? Special regulators.? Or just honor system... I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would buy a ghost, or alpha wolf, or delta wolf, or impact, or ANY $2000 + pellet gun when its limited to 12fpe.. WHATS THE POINT. The same exact barrels can be put on MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE models. Like the Compatto, or huntsman(which you have), or Dreamline... What's the point of a gun like that with the absolute purpose of full power high volume of fire competition... ORRR slinging heavy projectiles VERY hard. It's like buying a .50bmg and loading it down to .50 sharps ballistics. Pointless
I understand. For me I would never buy something which is highly tuneable like an FX Impact in sub 12 as it defeats the object. I usually buy more traditional style air rifles in sub 12.
In the UK ,people buy sub 22 rifles because they don't wish too or aren't able to go down the firearms section 1 route for air weapons over 12lb . If you understand UK law then that's why people buy sub 12 lb 🤔🤔🤔🤔

a channel called
The Rat Popper is ripping off your vids and claiming them as his. thought you would like to know it.
@halburd1 It's my secondary channel with all the commentary removed. Nothing to worry about. Thank you.
Would like to have seen how you got the stuck slug out of the barrel
Awesome video! Great tests too…
I was in the edge of my seat with the explosive target 🤣🤣🤣
I love that gun too. 😁🤙
Make sure to check out my other accuracy videos.
Nice video, could watch this for hours. Btw, i love the shooting table❤
Thank you Dario.

WoW you did well with the wind blowing
It was certainly challenging.

Thank you
that was insane🔥🔥🔥
Another really interesting video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Simon

@lancsvermincontrol who need super center fires with groups like that with air.
What's the vice grips on the steering column on hellboy?
Always enjoy the video and your dry comedy...👍

Morning Sir what table is that youre using ?
Caldwell Stable Lite
Not surprised with the slugs, Brocock use Walther choked barrels.
Hola amigo lo insiste muy bien alas 100 yardas con poston 15.89 muy liviano para el viento pero tu supiste compensar muy bien saludos de Chile
It was very challenging in the wind with low power and lightweight pellets, thanks Juan.
Ghost or uragan 2 im buying myself a Christmas present tomorrow 🎄

FX customer service - denial.
Same as mate , hw100 won’t let me double load
The Weihrauch pellets are made by H&N
Cracking video
Thank you

The slug barrel is available from BRK but only in 28” for HP models not for sub 12 use. Been on website a while if you dig deep enough.

Great review! I need another air rifle like I need a hole in the head but this BRK Ghost just looks so sweet.
Glad you enjoyed the review.
If you check your 40yd results then you will see where that loose shot on jsb exact came from
Well I got my BSA ultra se lane regulated ,can you honestly say this is worth the extra cash? Thanks
Yes definitely
Ghost or Krait what do you think
Haven't tried the Krait so can't comment.
Aiwa 😘💕👍👍
Thank you

Try a hp ghost they are absolutely useless accuracy wise.My new fac ghost is appalling.Nowhere near as accurate as my old mk 2 impact.
bro these airtank thats hanging there makes the whole gun looks so fxxking ugly
Other options are available 🙄
@@lancsvermincontrol you should get JTS stealth hawk and Barra 250Z!!!!!!
Unfortunately you won't get as many shots with them which is why the larger tanks are needed.
My tx200 groups better than that sub twelve as well at 40 yards 5 pence groups
Like I said, conditions were not great on the day. But on any given day we all know PCPs shoot better than springers at further distances due to having no recoil.
Most the tins of 22 slugs I've bought say MIN OF 30Joules.
No harm in a bit of fun whilst testing. Sometimes slugs have proved quite accurate in sub 12.

Kvintor Gamma Puncher .80g slugs fire well sub 12

@Mike_P646 there are tracks. There are places where speed limits still allow fun.
@ScrotalsbySackington what car do you drive to and from work for example?
