I have a 24’ Prodigy with an extended draw bar which also weighs in at 3.5 Tonnes. After many years of only having Range Rovers and Land Rovers I bought a new Y62 Patrol in 2020. Whilst it proved to be an excellent tow vehicle, my wife didn’t like it and only drove it twice in the 3-years I had it. Last October, I changed it for a 4.4 SDV8 L405 Range Rover. Wife is happy, I’m happy and feel I’m now back in the car that I really want despite it costing more to buy. We are probably of a similar age and I have come to the conclusion that we need to do what makes ourselves happy and not worry that those who have different views can’t just accept it without having to find fault. Enjoy yourself 😎👍

I tossed up over the patrol warrior and the 76 series, yes cheese and chalk, but needed the challenge of the old farm truck.

Good to see doing what you want to do mate
As for wind noise my 79 was same sound mat helps but best was new door foam seal replaced the standard internal trim for a seal from cruiser company and best change for noise in my opinion

16.1 L/100 towing 3.5 ton is better than I get driving towing nothing. Standard fare for me is 18L/100. Can't complain with those figures, they are fantastic. Cheers

      Yep that's what I figure.
Bonnet style takes a bit of getting used to but now the intercooler is front mounted instead of top mounted so no need for the scoop.
Thanks for watching and your support.
