    Nice one 😊 That’s also one of the things we loved about the 76 too! We loved how simple it is.. without all the bells and whistles.. loved the idea of the kids knowing that windows aren’t always electric 🤣 thanks for sharing!

    Thanks Shad, I went from a 76 to a 79, had a nice note like yours. Put a 3 inch exhaust on the 79 and no note, DPF killed it.

    Nice to see a good review of your 76 setup Shad. Some ideas in there that I might add to my FJCruiser thanks. Nice to chat with you at Drifta Stockton last month mate. Keep up the good work and enjoy your 4Wheeling and camping.

    I would be interested if you could do a video on the effect that the catch can has on the amount of crap that goes into the EGR and intake manifold. One of the other channels fourby4diesel says that the catch can only gets rid of the more liquid oil but doesn't stop the fine particulates. He says that without the catch can these fine particulates usually stick to the sticky liquid oil but without it they can get into the engine easier. Anyway I don't know either way but would be interested in hearing your experience as tossing up getting a catch can

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching, that level of video is a bit beyond me i think plus I would not like to pull apart the intake just for a video. I have a catch on my landcruiser and the amount of oil i drain out of it i am very happy to be keeping that out of the intake and also the intercooler. The provent type catch can with the filters in them are very good and I doubt that much is getting through to the intake at all.

    Nice rig mate. Love the 76. Does the wheel track correction cost a lot? Sounds like a worthwhile mod if towing a lot?

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  4 роки тому +1

      Outdoors CBR Thanks mate , set me back about $4800 with the 79 housing and the engineering report. Thanks for watching

    What suspension are you considering running? I’m at a similar point with my set up except for the tyres and track correction. Not sure which way to go or whether to stretch for a GVM

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  4 роки тому +1

      I am thinking about some terrain tamer parabolic springs with some superior remote res shocks . Trying to stay away from gvm if i can keep my car below 3t .
      Thanks for watching mate 👍👍

    Nice truck - I love my 76 - just done a fair bit of work but still need drawers and am thinking about rear track correction - how much difference does it really make - and why did you go with your choice? And if I had to choose between heavy duty clutch and tune or rear track correction what would you do?

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  4 роки тому

      Simon Borgert Hi mate, thanks for watching. I was really happy with the wheel track correction especially towing. I went for tru tracker because it was the cheapest at the time and keeps a lot of standard parts but ultimately a jmacx or superior coil conversion would be good. I am still running standard clutch and tune so hard to comment I suppose. Really depends what you want to do first, i will definitely need a clutch one day soon

    Nice setup. Seen your rig on a few drifta and Tyler Thompson videos does well with the mixed bag of suspension. Do you rate the clearance blocks?

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate, yes the clearance blocks are great, extra 35 mm of clearance. I have a video on them as well. Cheers mate 👍

    What size Engel Fridge do you have Shad? Looks fine for two people but would you go bigger? Looking at buying one soon.

    • @shaddonaghue
      @shaddonaghue  4 роки тому +1

      Gwondo thanks for watching, our Engel is a 40L , we actually bought it second hand it’s getting on a bit now. But yes if i was to buy a new one it would be 50-55L , maybe a waeco cfx or even maybe Arb. Haven’t looked into it much because this one is still working. You don’t want something to big because they take up to much room and they are hard to fill just for a weekend, remember they are more efficient when they are full so if its half empty all the time it’s pointless have a big fridge
      Cheers shad 👍

    • @shaddonaghue
