Adjusting the break peddle was just what I needed. Using the G29 and was applying so much force to stop the car. Thank you so much. You explained everything very clear. Originally I was using the wheel to play GT Sport but I've since become an ACC fan and started playing on my PC. Cheers!
Thanks for this Karl. I was about to give up on ACC until I could get a load cell pedal set. Now I can actually brake successfully for the first turn at Monza without having to do so 250m out.

Might have got that from one of your other videos. Either way, doing it in Windows means it’s exactly the same in every game, which I like for consistency, and I can just leave default settings for braking. Just a thought.
An excellent video, thanks Karl. I feel road effects on my 10 year-old Fanatec CSR wheel, but prefer to turn them off as they muddy the important lateral forces. In fact, in one of his videos, Aris Vasilakos suggested that users of lower-end wheels do this. Road effects are “canned effects” (fake FFB) and the ones of real importance are the lateral forces (wheels, braking, kerbs). I always chuckle to myself when Jimmy Broadbent et al are flying down the straight, shaking the fillings from the teeth as their DD wheels shake and rattle, crying out with delight: “Isn’t this great?”. Well, no ... unless you are in a rally sim. I like your settings as a light force feedback allows me to feel the wheels load up under braking, the tyres squirm and the chassis flex during cornering. ACC is awesome!
I have a T150 and I recently got this game. I really appreciate the settings explanations because my wheel oscillates like mad if I let go of it and that doesn't seem right. Now I know where to look and what to adjust. Again, big thanks.
Good stuff Karl - My advice would be pick some general settings and then don’t touch them for at least 4-6 weeks until you’re properly tuned into what the FFB is trying to tell you. Then you can fine tune for personal preference from there.

Thanks, been using a g920 and playseat challenge for a while now thx to your recommendations. But I've been struggeling with the ffb in ACC compared to rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2. But the online play in ACC is imho superior!

Great video, new subscriber here. The minimum force setting at 4% (9.10) works perfectly for my G29 wheel and gets rid of the annoying juddering of the wheel on the straights, cheers! 👍🏻
the breaking works just how it is in the RealLife ,,, u hammer it up gives sharper breaking so dont have tto travel as hard ,, lower the % will hav more travel & softer breaking ,,, more precise breaking travel witout locking up ,,
Another great video, thanks Karl really helpful, although I'm playing ACC on PS4 I am using your wheel's PS4/PC brother the G29 & I have REEEAAALLLLLLY been struggling trying to get my wheels to "feel right" in game. When I started every time I turned the wheel (even on a straight) it started off with some resistance but as soon as I started to turn (& for about the first 30 degrees of rotation) it went really light, as if I was on ICE, I have finally (after about 10 hours of messing with the FFB settings) got it so it feels much better but still doesn't feel "quite right" so I'm going to try your settings & see if that helps, but your explanation does assure me that what I THOUGHT the settings were for is infact correct, so again, thank you for this video. My current settings are :- Gain 100% Minimum Feedback :- 5% Dynamic Damping :- 0% Road Effect :- 85% So it'll be interesting to see how much different (& hopefully better) your settings feel.

Hiya mate, been playing with AC on the xbox series X and a G920 plugged in and it's been mental so far. Last night i got the most out of some sales on the Microsoft store and I got ACC plus all the DLC. This morning I was freakin exacted to start playing with this title but when I started driving the sensations that I got from the wheel were just rubbish. Not feeling at all what was going on with the grip and stuff. Not feeling at all if the car was oversteering.... I tried to sep up as per you video but it's still the same. Tried to put 100% on driving effects but it seems there is no difference between 0% or 50% or 100% (as you mentioned in your video). What else can I try to do to fix this?
Whilst you should be correct mate it actually makes no difference, the games seem to override it or it just has no effect, G Hub seems quite flaky in it's functionality so if it all possible I leave everything default.
Hi Karl, G920 owner myself, and i have the same issue on road effects 0% or 100% , no difference. keep up the great work Question, looking to upgrade to fanatec DD with mclaren wheel and the booster pack, is it much better experience than the g920? i'm not expecting it to make me much better but more enjoyable?
My Steer Lock setting has no effect on my wheel. I can turn it all the way down, yet I can still fully turn my wheel. I'd appreciate any advice on what I'm doing wrong...

Hi Karl Great settings, found they suited me. Just one question. I'm using a G29 on Ps4. I've read in some comments you have to alter the steering degrees to fit each car? Rather than ACC altering this for you. Is this correct? I see you leave yours on 900
How do you find ACC compared to AC Karl? I'm really struggling to get the understeer in ACC to feel as realistic as AC. Been testing alot but can't feel that point of losing control quite as much
Anyone know how to remove the position/driver list that appears in the lower left of the screen in game? And also the guidance in the upper right (i.e. do 4 clean laps) Can't seem to remove them, the options I think they are in Settings>HUD have no disable option
So, I'm on Xbox, and I'm assuming you're on PC, and the options on mine are just different. I don't have the hz option or gearshift denouncing, but I do have steering scale(not linearity) and I have deadzones for the throttle and break. I thought those differences were kinda strange. I am also confused as to what steering scale is.
road effects is unbearable while on curbs in 2021, i need it on zero or i get numb hands and to much noise. my steer lock is never higher than 280. fiddling with the wheel passing it through your hands turning it round and round slows you down

Hi Karl, sounds like great stuff and I´d love to test it but with my new G920 wheel I dont seem to be able to leave the PIT to test it. Motor is running, 1st gear is in, pushing the throttle but car wont move. Any idea on what migt be wrong? PS. My late SRW-S1 worked just fine until ti broke
Mine did the same Peter. Make sure you don’t have a controller turned on. Make sure you select your Xbox profile using the wheel and then unplug the usb connection then put it back in and this should sort it
Ok, so you've loaded your preset and made changes. Do you click save at the bottom? Every time I do, it never seems to save any changes when I load the preset I just made changes to to make sure my settings have saved. What am I missing? Thanks

Sounds like you need more practise mate, sims lack a good feeling of speed so you're often going much faster than you realise and this is probably the cause of your spin outs.

ACC sets the gold standard for button binding. Up to four functions per button is insane! (using a shift modifier key and extended inputs)

Centering Spring in Ffb games should be off in Ghub ! The games center the wheel through physics. You do not need that option ticked.

Why would you invert the pedals ?
If you don't they are inverted.

You need to create a new preset (name), save it, then load it each time you play.

The physics are good I guess but you spin out if you even try to go fast. Real race cars don’t do this

I think theres an issue. G920 was WAY worse ffb than the g25. But in standard ac it's a huge difference.
