Fun fact, the AMG GT3 irl is terrible over curbs. The SLS engine its using is super low inside if the bay. The oil pan has therefore been moved away from underneath it. If you hit a curb on the rl AMG GT3, you are very likely to damage the engine directly
The Ferrari 296 is my fav car and my daily driver since the launch of it. I’m not a beginner. In fact I’ve been racing competitively on ACC since launch. I love the fact that I can be consistently fast with it without having to deal with characteristics like the tail happy 992 Porsche, or with any other car. For me the Ferrari 296 is the best car imo.
That’s awesome man! Yeah that was main car for a while. If they would fix the curb usage and the starts I would stay with it. I’m definitely fastest in that car. I’m still learning the McLaren

I was also maining the audi, but now it feels like I'm having way more fun with keeping the Porache at bay, cool thing about it is that with tc 1, you can oversteer on exits and still launch off the corner without losing time keeps you on the edge actually can learn you quite a bit about handling oversteer, same for audi smash the throttle and you're in for a drifting session, but will teach you proper throttle control
I started out on the gt3r and it was honestly an experience Was it unruly to drive absolutely but it brought me so much joy and being able to just absolutely throw it around corners was great and i just stuck with it slapped a rexy livery on there and run it as my main
If you are just starting out in sim racing be aware that what you think of as your favorite car will very likely change over time. The more you are at the limit, the more certain characteristics come out for good or bad. Good lap times are often achieved in different ways. BMW loves full track usage/wide lines and rotates more under heavy trail braking rather than slip angle whereas the Porsche is nearly opposite. Lamborghini's torquey acceleration requires you to "V" corners. You'll end up, like in the video, driving other cars the way you drove your first and it will hamper you at times.
I am a resident Audi guy. 99% of my time in ACC is with the R8 ever since there was no Evo version. The best way i can describe it is as if you have a pet cheetah - ferocious, incredible speed, presence that commands respect, but at any moment you let your guard down, it will turn on you and annihilate you. It does hoever bring the most satisfaction when winning a race, especially long ones. And another strength which no other car in the game has - it has incredible grip right from the get go. The only car where you can push really REALLY hard on lap 1 and build a gap, while the others still try to warm up their tires.
I just picked up ACC and am experimenting with cars and tracks, so you video is just what I need. Question: What track did you use to test the BMW M4 (2:06)? I really like the flow of the curves and looks like a track I could use for some good practice sessions. Thanks!

I just bought ACC last weekend. I've been taking cars for laps at Monza to get used to the game, and I really like the Lexus. It's quick, and it handles really well.
Recently started racing in the mclaren and I am having so much trouble getting used to the brakes. I play on console so Monza is the track that always has full lobbies so that is the track i play the most and my best time with the mclaren is 1.47.7, ive been playing for about 6-7 months now 2-3 hours every other day when i have time, but going back to mclaren brakes i’ll brake at the same braking point and just completely blow the apex, i think i need to get more consistent with downshifts since that helps a lot. My fav car so far is the lambo and the quickest time i had on monza was 1.47.5, had some 47.3’s but either i messed up by pushing to much or traffic got in the way.
I dig the 992 GT3R, it is hard to drive, the tire wear is awful, especially on the rears, but as you point out it just sounds mean and if you drive it all the time you will find you can be competitive with it.
I agree with the audi 110%! My first time playing I picked the audi and I've stuck with it ever since even though I've tried some other cars. The audi is so quick but you have to be spot on and very smooth. It's really hard in my opinion to get back to the game after a break and be competitive but overall a very good yet difficult car.
BOP isnt really important unless you're really fast and consistent. I'd say, pick a front engined turbo car if you have shitty pedals, and/or heavy feet. If not, pick a mid engined NA V10 for the supreme balance and throttle response
Great video 👍 looking forward to the next one. I'm new to this game. Started with the McLaren and I connected to this car immediately. It's so precise and flat on entry. Exactly like you said like a go cart. I didn't have that feel with the Ferrari. Now, just because I'm a big fan I drive the Godzilla. Looking forward to the day I find the right set up because this car is nothing like the McLaren😂
Normal sim racers: I’ll pick a car that suits my driving style. Me: ooooh this car has cool livery I’ll pick this! Edit: I just found out this game has a livery editor, this is now my new favourite feature in this game
I float between the lambo and mclaren tbh... I like lambo on tracks like my favourite mount panorama for obvious reasons (not to mention the challenge of driving it perfectly is my jam) but then as you said... the mclaren eats spa for breakfast lunch and tea 😂 oh... and I have a weak spot for the m4 (not the m6)
I'm pretty much a newbie (under 200 hours in ACC) and I'm Slooo-ooow. But my favorite car to drive is the v12 Aston, guess I just like the long nose and front-engine layout and steering with the throttle. I think I'll give the AMG a spin after watching this.
Yeah as cool as the Aston V12 is it’s not overly competitive anymore. So going with the AMG might be a good idea to practice with something that will be relevant for the foreseeable future.
Love the Lambo and it's my main, but it's a bit slow on the straight, but in some track like Walkins Glens and Suzuka it's lovely. The lightness it's not a setup thing, but you get used to it after a few laps.
I just started ACC and just started sim racing. Just racing around 1 track over and over, I've tried most of the cars and the McLaren 720 is the one I've done the best times in. I can't explain it, but it just seems to stick to the ground better than the rest. I tried the Porsche and oh my...I couldn't keep that thing on the track...
I really really love the porsche but as setting this up is a challenge. As a sim racer who also raced real race cars like a 370z driving in ACC sometimes is much more stressful than driving in real life (there, it is just super exhausting) because so many cars in ACC are super nervous, understeer unrealistically etc. When i make an error i sometimes even don't know what happened exactly 😂. Thats why i stayed a long time with rfactor 2 which also has its flaws.....
I want to drive other cars but I love the Porsche so much, it suits me. I rarely (never) finish above 8th in a full lobby but all other cars just feel so woolly and wrong. The wayward backend, I'm used to it. When it tries to kill me, which is often, I'm ready for it. I wish I could drive something else
i just get into the game have only 40hours for now on the game, and my fav car is the Ferrari 296, because like you say its easy to drive, and beginner friendly :D
I just started playing ACC two days ago. This game is no joke. Im testing all the cars around Monza. I like the Ferrari and the McLaren the most. The Bentley is pretty cool, and the BMW is fun as well.
@Bratmouse1 thanks. I tried out the Lexus, the Mercedes, and the GTR today. I love the way the Lexus handles, but the Mercedes and the GTR will bite your head off if you let it.
I wouldn't recommend Monza as a track to find a car for yourself, it's a very unique track and there's a chance that you won't be happy with the car on other tracks, practice on Silverstone or COTA maybe, they have a good mixture of high and low speed corners
If I listened to my heart I'd main the AMG or the Porsche but they are just so tricky to drive. The Lambo and BWM feel best to me but idk, I don't love them, they just don't make me feel anything, it's like the stable job that's kinda boring but pays.
I just bought the game...been driving for 2-3 hours now and im doing 1:57-1:58 on the Nurburgring in the Mclaren 720s evo. Havent tried other cars except the Bentley. I just became last at both lamborghini career events😂 hate that car, cant set it right.. also, i hate monza. I definitly need to try the Porsche.. love some aggresion driving
The Lambo and the Lexus give me the moat competitive times and balance across moat tracks. I like deiving the porsche for fun but its very difficult to dial in the balance. But its real fun snapping around corners.
Team man drive what’s good for you. Once you get faster you’ll realize the Lexus is very slow. So maybe concentrate on the Lambo more. But that’s up to you
What could be a good all-rounder car, I race a lot online but also in the championship mode, and of course you can change cars race to race online but in championships you gotta stick with one car for the entire championship, what car could work for most tracks competitively.
The new Lambo is the best car right now if you average all the tracks togeather. Audi also but it’s impossible to drive fast unless your an esports player.
@@Bratmouse1 I see, what about the 2022 series? the championship mode still doesn't have the 2023 series cars available unless you play open series, what's your fav all-rounder for the 2022 series?
In my opinion just chose a random car every 3-5 days it will be fun i do this so i could enjoy the game even if the car is bad in corners because at the end im enjoying my self
I don't know, im just starting out on this game. I'm playing in career mode at the moment, and im using the Porsche 911 (991?). It seems to me to be a pretty good car, at least at Zolder anyway. It sounds nice, and it's a pretty stable car. Granted, at first, it seems to be a pretty "ass happy" car, but after some extensive set-up changes, it has become a pretty decent car. The only problem with the 911 is it don't like cold tyres, and it don't seem to like kerbs either, but other than that, it is a decent car. I'd say its fairly beginner friendly. Edit: the only other issue i have with it is it has very wide gearing. I can never seem to hit 6th gear at tracks like Zolder... That is the one thing I dont like about ACC, you cant change the gearing. Is altering the gearbox not allowed in the Blancpaine GT series?
I prefer mid-engine cars. Lambo was my favourite but now I'm in 296 which is a car that doesn't fight you back. From front engine are M4 and Aston Martin. My less preferred cars are GTR, LEXUS,NSX,all Japanese all of a sudden 😅
i main the 296 and i would say it may be a slightly simple car to learn its skill curve is very high especially with quali setups this car can be like ice on glass to drive
I started with BMW M4, now I am on Ferrari. My friend said I should try Lambo, but it seems like heavier version of Ferrari. Seems I need also try out Mclaren. Couldn't decide the main car yet... It's rather hard. By now I've driven 90 LFM races (214h in ACC). Any advice appretiated, thanks.
Porsche is mt favorite car manufacturer, but it is undeniably hard to drive, and I don't know much about setting up a cars tune soo it's doubly bad 😂 but it's fun to try and drive on the edge from time to time!
@kevink1032 the only thing that I hate about the car is how sometimes while u are trail braking, it can very easy to lose the rear depending on the braking bias. Having 52 in the rear wheels is very good for fast corner speeds while 57 is good for slow speeds
I agree on the Ferrari, The sound of the car annoys me too much, so much that I can't drive it for long periods. I do however like the sound it make under braking. My 3 favourite cars: right now are the Ford Mustang GT3 2024, Porsche 992 GT3 R, and the New Lamborghini Huracan gt3 evo The Mclaren 720s Evo is undrivable for me where there is a track with really tight corners, it can't seem to turn tight enough in hairpins and sharp S bends like Monza or Spa.
The Merc was an absolute great car till the last 2 updates and they have ruined it for no reason. There needs to be a big shift in BOP , im looking at you mclaren. But i guess we will wait till the pros have their way on the SRO fanatec series.
I never drove the AMG before this update to have an opinion on that. And yeah they need to figure out a better way to test and implement BOP. using only the pros is not effective they way have way to much to gain or loose.
The audi evo 2 is actually bot that hard ad many other people descrube it to be but in my opinion its perfect in evrry corner or straight. Especially on kyalami
As new to the game, the 992R is the best handling car in the game you can steer it on the throttle, easy to catch slides. I would say chose the car that suits your driving style so many seem to like understeer in their cars, which I cant drive. I am like 0.5-2sec faster depending on the track. Thanks to the engine mounted behind the rear axle you get such a massive amount of grip when going on throttle on corner exit
No M6? 😢 That's my car of choice. Definitely on the heavier side but... stable, predictable and very fast if you know how to shift. Just trying to get the perfect tune for the Ring atm😅
I run a mercedes but im doing a testing day here soon where i do 10 laps at brands hatch with each car and a safe setup on each, and see which i get the fastest times and that car will be what i drive. I do not like the porsche or the bmw they are out.
I sure like the look, feel and sound of the AMG but the dash is just boring. If I could get the Porsche/McLaren dash in it, it would be the perfect car for me
Absolutely! The issue is only a select number of them are competitive. And only some got BOPed for competition. And the others are including the Nissan are serverly uncompetitive.
@@Bratmouse1 It is a little silly to assume someone would purposely choose a car that they are slow in. I mean, I love the BF 109 G-4 but there is no way on Earth I will choose to go up with a Tempest with anything less than a BF 106 Late or AS. Ideally a K-4 or a Fw 190 D-9.
Hahah I did record it but I never put it in the video because not alot of people use it anymore Because of the BOP. I really like the Aston. It’s super fast at Kyalami!
It’s my main car. A beginner friendly car but have found you can make quicker and fairly competitive even with the current BOP by dropping TC2 or running it off and TC at 2 or 3 Can be a little squirrelly on exit though when you do
@@shoots8080 good to know! Yeah I tried it at kyalami. And my first 6 laps ever with the car with a modified aggressive setup I got into the 41s. It’s crazy quick there.
Wait what? Did you just say amg gt is front engine car? It's mid engine car bro. In amg gt you pretty much seat on rear wheel and engine is placed between front wheel and driver which makes it mid engine car
Not really. The front two cylinders just sit behind the front center line of the axle with the engine accessories sitting over the front axle center line. So yes does it have a better weight distribution then the average front engine car… yes. But far from a mid engine car. The reason the car has a boat type agileness and slow reaction and high sense of stability is due to its characteristics. It is far from a mid engine car. IRL when I use to race cars I’ve scaled a number of front engined, rear engined, and mid engines cars and I can tell you there is a massive difference in weight distribution. Again the AMG is better then the average front engined car but no where near a mid engine.
I don't know, I'm a V8 guy myself... I tend to like the sound of the Chevy ZL1 engines. They snarl like a pissed off demon. My favorite sound was the BMW 350i turbo (Groupe 5 car)... they had an AWESOME engine sound.
In 1.8 the Audi Evo 2 was actually fairly easy to drive once you got the damping right. In 1.9 it's very difficult to set up. In 1.9 the tires slide too much. I like the McLaren Evo cause it's one of the few cars you can run a non exploit set up and still be quick but it can be very hard on tires.
When I drove it three years ago I didn’t feel that it was that difficult either. With the mclaren the only thing that is broken is that you can run it on “1” wing at certain tracks where you should theoretically need more wing. But yes I love the mclaren. Thanks for the comment! I always like to hear other peoples experiences.
as someone who only drives the porsche, it's the most unstable, unreliable, unpredictable gt3 car in the game, which is why i love it
There you go!!! lol ;)
porsche is easy on high wing sets and also where it shines. Tight high wing tracks. Absolutely useless on bigger tracks :D
@@Daisudori the problem is now that low wing settings are the meta.
It's also the car that handles the most unrealistic in comparison to its real life counterpart...
I wouldn’t say unreliable but sure for the rest

I like lambo on tracks like my favourite mount panorama for obvious reasons (not to mention the challenge of driving it perfectly is my jam) but then as you said... the mclaren eats spa for breakfast lunch and tea 😂 oh... and I have a weak spot for the m4 (not the m6)
Yeah buddy!
McLaren for me if you can deal with oversteer on corner exits it’s fastest car in the game and the most fun.
Yeah man! With LFM BOP it’s been nerfed a bit though
Go with what you like!
i just get into the game have only 40hours for now on the game, and my fav car is the Ferrari 296, because like you say its easy to drive, and beginner friendly :D
Thats awesome! The key is to have fun with it!
How do you get car
@@Allautomotiveuk Buy the DLC if you not have the 269gt3
I just started playing ACC two days ago. This game is no joke. Im testing all the cars around Monza. I like the Ferrari and the McLaren the most. The Bentley is pretty cool, and the BMW is fun as well.
Awesome have fun!
Put an esports setup on the Lambo and you’ll feel
More then you want to lol. Thanks for the comment!
That’s good buddy! Now with the new LFM BOP all cars I mentioned there are competitive. So its just a matter of which car you vibe with best!
@@Bratmouse1want to try them all, it just needs some time and knowhow to setup.. I will search your other videos for some setups!
But that’s up to you
Great video!
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
@@Gobro-z1g do you have the newest DLC?
@@Bratmouse1 I got all DLCs but the new 2023 pack doesn't work with the championship mode, the 2022 series doesn't have the new cars.
@@Gobro-z1g you could use the AMG it’s decent for 2022.
In my opinion just chose a random car every 3-5 days it will be fun i do this so i could enjoy the game even if the car is bad in corners because at the end im enjoying my self
the 991.2 gt3 was fast and sketchy because you knew it was going to be sketchy, however the 992 feels like a muted 991.2 with even harsher snaps
Yeah it really is a shame there are so many problems with it.
Glad your enjoying it! Yeah once you start to get faster you’ll find the Porsche and the Audi are the hardest cars to drive.
@@Bratmouse1 I've found out... I'm actually much more comfortable with the GTR "Godzilla"... Much easier to drive, and pretty fast too...
@@therayven3147 That’s good!
I prefer mid-engine cars.
Lambo was my favourite but now I'm in 296 which is a car that doesn't fight you back.
From front engine are M4 and Aston Martin.
My less preferred cars are GTR, LEXUS,NSX,all Japanese all of a sudden 😅
Wow great vid!
Thanks JP!
i main the 296 and i would say it may be a slightly simple car to learn its skill curve is very high especially with quali setups this car can be like ice on glass to drive
With the LFM BOP any of those cars will be competitive so it’s which ever one you like best
Porsche is mt favorite car manufacturer, but it is undeniably hard to drive, and I don't know much about setting up a cars tune soo it's doubly bad 😂 but it's fun to try and drive on the edge from time to time!
Porsche is my favourite also but impossible to drive. I have some setup videos that might help.
Is it weird I feel really comfortable and have fun driving the Lexus haha feel like I'm the only ine that drives it
Hey man you like what you like
2020 amg is my go to I love it so much
Great video dude, thank you!
Thanks man!
the new mclaren for me is the way to go. Too much grip in fronts and great suspension is perfect for everything imo.
Yeah that’s my main car now also!
@kevink1032 the only thing that I hate about the car is how sometimes while u are trail braking, it can very easy to lose the rear depending on the braking bias. Having 52 in the rear wheels is very good for fast corner speeds while 57 is good for slow speeds
@@D1amond131 yeah I run in between 47-50
All kunos have to do is copy + paste the stats from porsche 2018 and then just give it 5% buff and 992 would be perfect 😅
So many simple things that Kunos could do to improve the game but for some reason they don’t. Lol 😂
I agree on the Ferrari, The sound of the car annoys me too much, so much that I can't drive it for long periods. I do however like the sound it make under braking.
My 3 favourite cars: right now are the Ford Mustang GT3 2024, Porsche 992 GT3 R, and the New Lamborghini Huracan gt3 evo
The Mclaren 720s Evo is undrivable for me where there is a track with really tight corners, it can't seem to turn tight enough in hairpins and sharp S bends like Monza or Spa.
Personally I love the Porsche, it’s my go to.
My next choice would be the AMG
Great Video and really helpful, but what about the Aston?
Thanks man! I have a part 2 coming out I got you covered :)
@@Bratmouse1 ohhh okay. Sounds great. Come really handy for me as I wanna start with ACC and simracing in general. Thanks for the answer!
Sad that Audi will stop the GT3 program. Its such a cool car
It is! Was my favourite car for a while! I think they are putting all there efforts into F1 now.
And motoGP, audi owns ducati and they are dominating right now with 4 factory bikes and 4 satellite bikes.
@@snippidippi oh interesting I didn’t know they bought them.
@kevink1032 think they bought them 2018-2019 something. If you look at ducati factory bike it has audi sport logos
Yeah but only factory right? So private teams still use them if I understood that correctly.
I am actually doing my first days on ACC and I feel Aston GT3 V8 is the most balanced car for me
what track is this at 17:59 when you were reviewing the lamborghini?
That was Watkins Glen! One of my favourites!
I took a liking to "The Glen" because the run NASCAR there... now THOSE were some badass cars back in the day...
good vid dude
Thanks man I appreciate it!! Glad you you enjoyed it. I’ll have a part 2 coming out soon
Another fun car is the 650s GT3. It feels so alive to drive :) but its not so fast, but i like it.
Yeah everyone has there car that they like! Thanks for the comment!
Great video. On the AMG's , what year and model ? GT2, GT3, or GT4 ?
Gt3 2020
Why no NSX? I must be unaware of something o.0
It’s in the part 2 video
Agree about sound of porsche
Yeah buddy!
My favorite is the Acura/Honda, but I'm faster in the Mercedes. However, for me it's more difficult to drive.
I find the Honda very difficult to drive
No M6? 😢
That's my car of choice. Definitely on the heavier side but... stable, predictable and very fast if you know how to shift. Just trying to get the perfect tune for the Ring atm😅
my question is where to get that shirt.
lol I don’t know it was a gift!
@@Bratmouse1awwww mannnn
I run a mercedes but im doing a testing day here soon where i do 10 laps at brands hatch with each car and a safe setup on each, and see which i get the fastest times and that car will be what i drive. I do not like the porsche or the bmw they are out.
heres my tip: pick whichever car looks cool to you
Hi Kevin, what brand seat do you have?
It’s from an Acura RSX lol
What is a good setup to take eau rouge flat-out
That’s difficult to say. Setups will be different for everyone and skill levels.
@@Bratmouse1 ok, because in a video someone said with the right setup you can take eau rouge flat but I don't actually know what a setup is
@@Stef-Records You search for setups on UA-cam. Or you can buy setups from Go Setups or Hymo.
I drive with a MOUSE😂 well the only car I find kinda lil difficult to handle is the M4 and the 720s
Is the M4 better than the M6?
Oh yes very much.
I just went with the McLaren because I think it’s the best looking one
I like it… lol
I sure like the look, feel and sound of the AMG but the dash is just boring. If I could get the Porsche/McLaren dash in it, it would be the perfect car for me
I drive a Aston Martin :D
I got you covered I’m recording a video about all the other cars!! :)
@@Bratmouse1 Nice!
Only bought acc for the Porsche eargasm. Does it feel like im wrestling a gorilla? Yes? Do i love it? Yes
The simple answer is to drive each and every car in the game. You might as well, you paid for them. The Nissan is an easy-to-drive car.
No Aston?
Aston is great if you like being absolutely smoked off the line 😆
@@Bratmouse1 Ahh, thanks for explaining. I've watched amg gtr review and the guy said it's mid engine car - seems like he was wrong then
lol phone booth with an angry ape lol
v12 Aston best sounding in my opinion
V12s are gods gift to motor racing! Thanks for the comment!
I don't know, I'm a V8 guy myself... I tend to like the sound of the Chevy ZL1 engines. They snarl like a pissed off demon.
My favorite sound was the BMW 350i turbo (Groupe 5 car)... they had an AWESOME engine sound.
@@therayven3147 yeah I'm also a big fan of the corvettes but they aren't in ACC
Why is 720s so slow at kyalami
It’s low on power. So the new LFM BOP compensated by making it lighter
Sry for my English. I‘m really sad that the Gtr35 is absolutely undriveable
Yeah it’s unfortunate!
No Bentley? :(
In 1.8 the Audi Evo 2 was actually fairly easy to drive once you got the damping right.
