The production team give all of them a heads up on what some of the rounds will be so they can do some preparation but the show is edited and they cut out pauses while they wait for someone to think of something funny, or on the case of Frankie Boyle, actually broadcastable.
He’s honestly the best British Comedian I’ve ever seen. Up there with the Sean Locks, Jon Richardsons, Lee Macks, David Mitchells, Richard Ayoades, Noel Fieldings and.... well that’s it. That’s a lot.

I became curious from there, but I knew the man was a genius when I found out that what we see onstage was a persona and somewhere in this man’s head _in this persona_ he’s able to spin a bit about squash from the topic of growing up and throw a serial killer joke in there for good measure.
