    Rener's face every time the guy pulled off a great move is why he's such a good teacher. He's a Gracie, he doesn't anything to prove so he's focused on how to get his students to be better. So fucking wholesome.

    This was incredibly fluid all the way through the session. Almost zero force, it looks like, was required to apply in each transition for both of you. That blue belt is amazing.

    Rener is a great teacher, for him it's not about showing dominance over his students but actually rolling in a level that examines if they retained what they learned, changing positions to see how they will act. A really caring and responsible instructor

    Super flowy and good demonstration of some higher level technique. I've watched this video probably 10 or more times, and Everytime I learn and see something new. Rener just seems to have a counter for everything, and knows how to get passed all his opponent's defenses. That Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi (the Footsweep he did) was slick. Love watching these narrated sparring videos

    Rener.. Can I just say Im a no stripe white belt, I played rugby (a tough U.K sport) for 15 year at a high level! I have broke every finger, dislocated my shoulders and broke both legs. I had to retire due to 9 concussions in 2 year. I looked for such a long time to find something to fill that gap! I recently started to roll at a gracie barra newcastle u.k! Origin bjj. As you say in your surviving first 6 months of sparring, It is so hard for a man used to dominating a sport to have his ego checked on a consistent daily basis. Your videos have helped so much, to understand the philosophy of being a white belt. The last few classes I have not used strength, well just of character and attempted just to survive and give thanks to those who take any time to teach me. I thank you! I think I will survive the 6 months. Jake Lilley.. Newcastle.. U.K

    Great roll. I'm a Gracie University student and have been teaching my GF. Last night I was able to roll with my friend and he is easily dubble my waight. I never went for a sumition but from what i have learned I managed to stay on top tell he tired out and gave up. I live close to Redline Gracie JJ in OKC but I'm only home one week a month. I'm thankful for what you and your family has done for the world.

    Rener is an awesome teacher.. He will demolish black belts, but is so forgiving with lower belts to really meet them at their level for the most part. Even when he get's the tap, a lot of times he will let up on the choke or hold, and force the student to work their way out. Awesome job

    Dude I love the narration, I started Jiu-Jitsu in April this year, @Millennia in Rancho Cucamonga, I fell in love, I love the language and I like these videos from you brother, I got a lot to learn, but its worth it💯💯💯 I sometimes say you gotta be a lil crazy to enjoy tapping all day as a white belt and still come back errday, but seriously the only way to be good at something is to be bad for a very long time hhahh, Thanks for the video 🙏🏼

    This is awesome. Out of all the jujitsu teachers I've seen your one of the best. Reminds me of my first Instructor. She was always super playful an giving advice during it. And shed give you a second to try it before she moved. So shed give you a way to stop her or counter. I've yet to find another instructor like her. An even in the white belts felt like champions when sparring with her. I wish there where far more like you out there.

    Gonna write a testimony here. I have never been formally trained in a Jiu Jitsu School and I started out as an onlinr GJJ student. Found a nearby gym and I gotta say the difference in details is super noticeable. Gracie Jiu Jitsu does a lot in covering in-depth details and when I first rolled with students from other schools, I immediately felt the difference.

    At about 2:50 he has a set up for a twister. As long as he maintains good control with a deep triangle on the bottom leg, all he had to do is control the top arm, stretching it across his chest, and pin it under his shoulder. From there just crank the head back. Eddie Bravo is a wizard with it

      What's the difference

    • @adammills9715
      @adammills9715 6 років тому

      @@tpfmike1976 The context and goals. When fighting comparatively the goal is to win the fight against another bjj practiconer who knows essentially what you're going to do. In self protection the goal is to protect yourself and your loved ones from harm from criminals engaging you in non consensual violence. This can lead to big differences between the two, for example in self protection any opportunity to run away should be taken advantage of. Obviously this can't apply to tournament jiu jitsu as you're looking to win and not to escape :)
