      Relson would probably say, "he young guy, is the way he talk". He was talking about chess relating to BJJ after the rolling. There was plenty of respect on the mat. The comedian dude was "acting out" a bit too much of macho-ness. So some hard headed dude watching this video might not like that.There has to be respect/level of understanding or else, ya pass out or break a limb. Every culture in the world talks shit within themselves and to other cultures.

      Even in a practice scenario, if your immediate instinct is to fight against the lock, you might damage the joint or even break it. So that's why he's warning him. He himself is not applying any pressure on the joint, but an inexperienced white-belt might very well cause pressure to be applied regardless, just by trying to get out.

    The beautiful thing about a great brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt (or in this case red) who also happens to be brazilian (and perhaps even better.. an actual Gracie) is that they think absolutely tear you apart for however long they want. Tapping you again and again and making you look like a fool... but at the end of it you feel like your friends. They're KIND about it!
    These are the only people on earth who are calling you "friend" while strangling you to death. Always so calm and relaxed.

    • @Carrot421911
      @Carrot421911 9 років тому +31

      +Weed, woods, gorillaz Yup, doesnt need to be a grandmaster either. Whenever I rolled with someone higher level than me, theyre always teaching me while we roll, and being friendly about it too. "No, you're turning the wrong way now, yeah thats better, beware of the armbar from here, good, but you could have passed the guard there, try again, yes, that was great" We both know they could just steamroll me if they want, but they take the opportunity to let themselves get into bad positions and working their way out, while always making sure that I learn too. Thats my experience anyway from my days of doing Bazilian JJ. Very friendly environment.

    • @MicroClicka
      @MicroClicka 9 років тому +1

      If this is true, then that's outstanding information. But also, as a rule of thumb in various martial arts, a red belt is symbolic of owning the training facility and also peerless skill.

    • @mufcsupporter1
      @mufcsupporter1 9 років тому +20

      +LordBabu A red belt is rewarded in lieu of a 9th or 10th degree black belt. You have to be 19 to get a black belt, and if you get a black belt at 19 the earliest possible age to get a red belt is 67. The 10th degree belt was only given to Carlos, Oswaldo, George, Gaston and Helio Gracie
