Best review and opinion of this game hands down. Your convinced me to buy Ghost Recon a year ago and you were right. You’re an entertaining reviewer as well.
CDPR did this to themselves, but in a few years with that many more years’ worth of mods and patches, I think this game will be remembered as a low-key classic for its presentation.
I’m gonna be honest, I time my experience in cyberpunk far more than I do in Bethesda rpgs (yes even the good ones). Also yeah, people really need to stop comparing it to rockstar games. The only studio on the same level with rockstar in terms of polish is Naught Dog, but that’s partially because they both overwork their employees to hell (so did cdpr though)
And while I love GTAV and RDR2 a lot, they're intentionally shallow games, compared to RPGs anyway. Basically all open world RPGs are janky or started off as janky, and that's not just some coincidence, it's what happens when you create a game with a lot of different ways of doing things like RPGs do. It becomes difficult to playtest and even more difficult to program.
I love that you never take a shit on anyone’s fun. Like your videos are practically all positive and I love that. I know that you tend to review stuff that is relevant but I was wondering if you would ever review any old games like gta 4 or other stuff
GTA4 is one of my all time favorites and I have a funny story about that. I once planned on doing a review of it for absolutely no reason, I did a whole play through of it and captured footage, then realized none of the footage had sound. BOOF!
@MA I wish I could say you we're wrong about that but you're really not. The internet is more about pandering to trends than it is truth oh well. I am looking forward to playing this game when I do.
tbh all the cutscenes are really good, the animation is nuts, some of the best first-person animation I've played in a game. And the shards are awesome but yeah the menu is absolutely dogshit fucked. the menus in general were ripped straight out of the Witcher 3 with only marginal improvements, and now it's red. But it's still one of the best games I've played in a long time. Some of the best writing in an AAA game I've played. Excellent level design, and world design. And the side quests are fucking great. 100% promise people will come around on this game eventually.
Your channel is now among my favorites after watching a couple "Underated Reviews". Fucking hilarious and quality content sir. You have my sub and deserve A LOT more.
I played the game on PS5 this year for the first time, i put 206 hours into it, two 100% playthroughs thes something about it that sucked me back every time, it is outstanding imo, it has an imo mind blowing story amazing characters and it's 100% my personal goty 2022.
@@emulation2369 The "Your not wearing warm clothes" bug really pisses me off. You can't enjoy walking around camp and Beeachers Hope without someone in their sleepware saying you're going to freeze to death. You also miss out on unique dialogue because of it.

@@StuartLugsden Having bugs, and being significantly broken to the point of insanity are two completely different things. I won a gift card in sweepstakes and used that to buy the game. I played through it three separate times. Every single fucking time was an absolute blast. I loved the game even though the bugs were frustrating at times and prevented me from 100%ing it. I love this game. I love the storyline as well as the characters and their development throughout the game. The main characters you interact with actually feel like real people that could've existed. Their reactions and interactions with V feel organic.
I've always disliked the rockstar comparison as the gameplay isn't even close, other than it being open world with driving. If anything its more like an open world deus ex game, gameplay wise. Its an immersive sim.
Hey so long as you had fun, that's a pretty important tick box for any game. The glitches and messy port releases were disheartening but the actual gameplay and story I really dig so it's not all doom and gloom as some make it out. Another fun game review, always enjoy these.
100 hours and counting, just mopping up the last remaining NCPD Assault locations (blue bats). Loved (almost) every minute of it, warts and all. The most annoying bugs were the loss of dialogue, loss of animations or loss of the script altogether during cutscenes. Still, a great game that will only get better with age. Just like Witcher 3. P.S.: played as female V, her voice acting was stellar!
I had a fucking blast with this pretty close to launch on PC, it really wasn't too bad in terms of glitches and bugs. I had a couple bugged quest where I had to load a checkpoint and some other relatively minor stuff but for the most part it was a pretty smooth experience. I've certainly played and enjoyed WAY more unstable games (Fallout New Vegas at launch, True Crime NYC for example) - & coming back to it now in 2022 with all the patches it's even better, and I'd consider it a genuine 9/10 action RPG. The story, world design, and combat is absolutely worth investing 30-60 hrs in. It's maybe not the masterpiece we wanted or expected, but it's a fucking great sci fi world and action rpg
Like the man said, most of it is fix-able with patches. I hope they do - I bought this and played about 30 minutes, then shelved it, awaiting a time when I can enjoy it properly. I almost wanted to play it again at the beginning of this video, but as it went on, I realised some of those bugs would just annoy me too much.
I saw this review on steam McDonald's Ads - The game You see a juicy, delicious burger advertised on screens. You buy the burger, open the wrapping, and find the bun squashed, the meat thinner, lettuce wilted and some of the condiments are missing. You eat it and it's still a decent burger. CDPR deserves the backlash though, you can like a game while still being critical of the developers/publishers/investors.
Definitely agree. I feel like Cyberpunk is going to go through the same thing Star Wars: Battlefront II did. A shitty release, but through updates and the love and care of the dev team, will come a game that’s leagues better than what was released, but by that time it will fall into obscurity.
