How to Convert an Epson EcoTank 2720 to a Sublimation Printer
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 жов 2024
- We are stepping up our sublimation game by converting an Epson EcoTank ET-2720 inkjet printer into a sublimation printer. We first heart it was possible to convert some inkjet printers to sublimation months ago, but it took us a while to decide to make the leap. And we are SO glad we did!
Traditional sublimation printers can be quite expensive, so converting the Epson EcoTank to a sublimation printer was a much more cost efficient route to go.
We chose to use Cosmos Sublimation Ink in this printer conversion, as it had good reviews online and is designed to work with the EcoTank (no syringes needed). Note that we are NOT sponsored by Epson or Cosmos Ink - we purchased all of this out of our own money.
As we show you in this video, converting an Epson EcoTank 2720 to a sublimation printer is an easy process, especially with the Cosmos Ink. We even do a few sublimation test prints with the EcoTank to see how it all works.
So follow along with us as we convert an Epson EcoTank 2720 to a sublimation printer. And of course, let us know if you have any questions in the comments below!

Thank you SO much! 🥰
*It prints like no other **Bestt.Digital** printer. i have always loved Epson for the colors they produce.*
Awesome!
You guys ROCK THANK YOU WAS NOT POSITIVE WHICH ROUTE TO TAKE FOR SUB INKS, I’m ready Cosmos it is
Awesome! We’re glad this was helpful!
So excited we literally just scored an epson 2720 for 125 bucks on clearance at Walmart! Your video by far has been the best.
Oh yay! Congrats on finding a printer and thanks for the kind words - we’re glad the video is helpful! 😄
@@JustMightDIY 😉
Just got the 2720, perfect model for this as you don’t need to pay for double sided printing for sublimation! Great video
Thank you! We agree - it’s a great little printer. Happy subbing!
Does the 2720 print up to 13 x 19?
@@marquisbradshaw5124 Hey there! The 2720 only prints up to 8.5" wide, so the largest it can do is 8.5" x 14". In order to print 13" x 19", you'll need the Epson EcoTank 15000 or 16600.
Really would have loved to see it done on a shirt
Hi there. Thanks for the feedback. We just posted a new sublimation video testing out Hiipoo sublimation ink and paper on a variety of materials, including a dog shirt, if that helps. Check out the latest video on our channel if you’re interested in seeing that. Cheers!
AWESOME TEAM, I JUST BOUGHT THIS PRINTER GOING TO CHANGE IT TO SUBLIMATION, IM VERY NEW AT THIS DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. THANKS FOR THIS TUTORIAL.
We’re glad it’s helpful. 😄 Thanks for watching! Happy subbing - it’s so much fun!!
Great video, im still having trouble getting the black to print right, lots of lines across the print, etc.
If I do the deep cleaning, is waiting the 12 hours reccomended?
Hey there. Yes - always wait 12 hours after a deep cleaning to see if it resolves
Oh my! I need that mug press! Would prefer this over the clunky contraptions most have
We love our Mug Press! It’s so sleek and easy to use!
Hi there!!! Video was GREAT!! When you do the ink/paper alignment step. Do you print that on regular computer paper or sublimation paper??
Hi, we just use regular printer / copy paper. No need to waste the good stuff!
Wow I’m sold great video
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Thank you! I felt a little intimated, but you made so easy!
Awesome! We’re glad this was helpful. Happy subbing!
You mentioned something about alcohol and water when you said there were some white flecks on the mug. What did you say? Clean the mug with alcohol?
Hey! The white flecks are paper that's stuck. Don't use alcohol after you've sublimated. A rag wet with water will be plenty to get those paper flecks off. Happy sublimating!
Such a great video! Have you tried sublimating on shirts?
Thanks for asking, we certainly have

Love the images and I am sold in that printer. Can you tell me what printer stand that is with the pull out drawer.
Hey there! So glad you like the video.
We didn't buy the printer cart - we made it! A sheet of plywood, some IKEA Komplement drawers/tray, paint, and a few tools will get you there. Here's the video that shows the build: ua-cam.com/video/TsrLcLEO8Ac/v-deo.html
Can you please make a video on how to convert a USED ecotank into a sublimation printer. Showing how to clean the lines, printer head, etc. Thanks in advance.
Hey! Thanks so much for your request. We’ll look into this for sure! 😄
I love this! I didn’t have the patience to look through 400 comments to see if you already answered this question, so I hope you will forgive me. Have you tried the prints on T-shirts and if so, how did it come out? Thanks in advance.

This is what it would look like. Time stamp 9:50. Different printer and sublimation ink but same idea. Thank you for watching and asking!
Great video ordered same printer and can’t wait! Should be here this week
So exciting!! Happy subbing! 😄
Thank you for this video. I’ve had the 2720 for 2 years now but did not know this trick. Do you think it would be possible to empty my
Ink and put the sublimation ink in? Or does the printer have to be new/unused
It's so much easier if it's unused. Cleaning the normal ink out will challenge the life of the machine. It's possible but we will never go try that again. And thank you for checking us out!
I subscribed!!! You guys are so much fun and this is my first video🤣
Oh yay - thank you! And, welcome to our channel. 😄🥳
Definitely going to buy this printer model
Woo hoo! It’s a great little printer. 🎉
@@JustMightDIY and affordable too Best Buy currently has it on sale
Score!! 🤑
Hi! Great video. Made the process look simple. One question if you know, if you fill it with sublimation ink and dont like the quality can you use a different sub ink after the tank empties or do you have to stick with the first ink you try? thanks!
Hey! So glad you like the video. The process really is simple with the bottles made for the EcoTank. :)
If you don't like the ink you try first, you can absolutely empty it out, run a purge and cleaning process and then fill with another ink. There are probably some great videos on how to do that. Happy subbing!
Thanks for sharing your experience
Of course! Thanks for watching. 😃
hi great video..really appreciate it...I have a Question..Can u switch back to regular ink or u have to continue using the sublimation ink..Thanks
Hey! There are some videos out there about switching between types of ink and the process needed, so we believe it’s possible. We just haven’t tried that yet.
You all did a great job. The only note that I have is it would have been nice if you told people what to do if they didn't have Cosmos ink for the cartridges. Respectfully Thank you
Thanks for watching and for the note. The other method uses syringes, which we don’t recommend. We’ve heard it’s messy and takes forever. Many sublimation ink companies now offer the eco-fit bottles, so there’s plenty to choose from! Two others we’ve tried are fr Hiipoo and StarCraft. 😄
I read your response that I you I appreciate the guidance. It makes sense. Thank you
So in fact what you did made no change to the printer, did it ? Cause I'd like to keep my warrenty ... But changing the type of ink is okay, isn't it ?
Putting sub ink in will not keep your warranty valid. There are sublimation specific printers, but we never used. Too expensive. If it helps, we have 3 epson printers with sub ink and they have all worked for 2 years plus
Without changing inks and sticking with cosmos ink from the beginning. Could I use this ink to print on normal paper for normal job printing duties?
Ehhhh….theoretically, you could. However, sub ink is designed to release from the paper, so there’s no telling what kind of longevity it would have. The biggest issue is that your colors are going to be WAY off. Designs printed with sublimation ink don’t look “right” straight out of the printer. They have to be pressed with heat to actually turn their true colors. So while you technically could, it’s strongly advised against.
Really helpful. I've been looking to start sublimating phone cases, but because I'm based in Zambia, I have to consider hefty shipping charges for all items. So being able to see which printers are more affordable and a more compact heat press will really help alot. Thanks :)
We’re glad it’s helpful! Good luck with your sublimation journey. Thanks for watching. 😄
Those turned out awesome! Excellent way to use that printer and test them for other people that might be curious.
Thanks so much!
I just open my printer today! Everything was going great until I printed out my image. Not a complete image. I have the same sub paper but Hippoo ink. Any helpful info that will help for the coloring. Thanks 🙏
Hey! We haven’t had this issue, but others who have mentioned something about the wifi potentially cutting out during the print. That might cause it to stop. And by the way, we have Hiipoo ink in another printer, and it works great as well!!
Just bought my printer can’t wait
Woo hoo! Congrats. Let us know how it goes!
Did you purchase the protection plan?
Just bought one from ebay, ty for your great video!
Congrats! Hope it brings you years of crafting!
looking for Epson Eco Tank to do sublimation on Mugs, tumblers, Shirts and a few more is there a difference in which one to get ?
Thank you for watching! First thing to look for is what size print an ET can put out. ET15000 can print 13x19 while 2760 prints only standard. After that it's mostly add-ons, scanner, fax, etc.
Hello. What program do you guys use to make the images on? Cricut Design Space or something else? Thank you!
Hey! Thanks for your question. It really depends on the project, but we tend to use Photoshop the most for images.
@@JustMightDIY Thank you!
I need to ask, Was this Epson Converted or just Used Sub-Dye as apposed to Ink??? I have a Converted Epson pro WF-3720 and it has an outer ink box which flows into catrridges in printer. This One Looks so much easier
Hello! The only thing you have to do to am EcoTank to “convert” it into a sublimation printer is just put the sublimation ink in (when it’s brand new). Hope this helps!
you two are great in style...loved it.
Thank you!!
Is it mainly the different type of ink that makes it “sublimation”?
Hey! For the printing part, yes - it’s just the special ink. Then you will, of course, need the special paper, heat and sublimation blanks in order to do the full process.
do you need to let it cool before pealing the paper off?
We let them cool a little bit but not all the way. Some people will dunk items in lukewarm water (not cold) to stop the sublimation process and speed up the cooling. We haven’t needed to do that yet, but it’s something you may consider trying.
Great video! This printer is going to be next on my list. Thanks!!
Awesome! You’ll have so much fun.
Great video ! My question is what if you’re printing something that has white, grey, and black, do you have to get those ink colors or these colors will print the image with those colors I mentioned ?
Fun question. It will print just like a regular inkjet printer in as many colors as your computer can come up with. Black, ok. Grey, ok. Normal printers don't print white though. White is the color of your paper or the color of the sublimation blank. But where your printer needs to print white, it will be left blank. This is true of all normal printers. Hope this helps. Good luck!
TYSM I just purchased my ET 2720 to convert to a sub printer
Congrats! You’re going to have so much fun. As for the ink seal - you could definitely use a glove to keep the ink off you. Cheers to your sublimation journey!

Thank you was a great help. Where did you get you cart the printer is on ?
Hey there! We actually made the printer cart with some plywood and Ikea shevles/drawers. The video tutorial of how we did it is here on our channel: ua-cam.com/video/TsrLcLEO8Ac/v-deo.html
Hi! Thanks for the video! I have the opportunity to buy a epson EC 2760 or a 2720...would you recommend one over the other for sublimation?
Hey there! Between those, we’d pick the 2720. You don’t need the extra bells and whistles of the 2760, and it doesn’t give you any larger prints. Hope this helps!
Just got this for my bday yesterday was so confused thank you so much you guys are a wonderful surprise to all the paint drying videos out there now can you tell me what 5 in one heat press to get 😊
Hey! Thanks so much for watching! We actually just use the Cricut EasyPresses, so we don’t have a good rec for a 5-in-1 heat press. Happy subbing!
My worst experiences with printers is refilling the ink tanks, and tbf, idk kf it's good or not but the previous models such as the epson l382 had a very very easy and unproblomatic ink filling system which is honestly one of the best in my opinion, so does this system have no problems? Cause when the ink spilled a bit i did get a little bit overwhelmed considering the cartridges are refillable
Hi there! Thanks for watching. When we’ve topped off the inks, we’ve had no problems at all!
Wow just wow this energy is so beautiful from you guys. Love it! I have a dilemma here. I wanted an ecotank printer for making homemade posters and printing books and research papers etc. My only issue is, if I convert this printer into a sublimation printer for t shirts etc. Then I can't use it in the regular manner anymore right? Should I buy two of them? Also epson is selling me a refurbished 2720, can I still convert it? I assume they cleaned the old ink or etc.
Hey! Thank you so much for your kind words and great questions! Yes - you would need two separate printers if you want to do regular inkjet printing as well. As for your second question, we haven’t tried converting a refurbished printer, so we can’t say for sure. However, in searching some of our sub groups on FB, it appears that others have had success with converting refurbed printers. We’d recommend checking with Epson to ensure that the lines are totally clean in a refurbed one to be sure. Good luck and let us know how it all turns out!
If I use it as a regular printer, not infusible ink, will it print for a long time, I mean like 6 months or so, or more than that? Thank you.
Hey! We haven’t used ours as a regular printer, so we can’t say.
I have used laser printer paper with the Cricut infusible ink pens/markers. Can I also use it to sublimate with the EPSON & Cosmos ink?
Hello and thanks for your question! We noticed a big difference in using actual sub paper versus regular laser copy paper.
Hello, thanks for the video. Have you change the print settings ? I heard that the ICC profile had to be changed...
Hello and thanks for your question! We have not changed the ICC profile but may try that in the future. We’ve been really happy with the results with the standard settings.
Thanks Jay-Z
Thank YOU for watching! -JZ 😉
Thanks for the info. So can you overfill and it overflow or does it stop on it's own when the tank gets full?
Great question - It stopped on its own!
Lovely--where did you get your printer table with the pullout drawer

I’m having trouble with my printer printing missing lines. I did exactly what you did. Also my yellow is almost non existent. Any tips???
Hey! There are so many factors that could influence this (and we haven’t had that specific issue). It’s probably best to ask in one of the awesome Facebook groups on sublimating with Epson printers, as you can spare pics and get larger community feedback. Hope this helps!
This is perfect I just purchased the same printer yesterday 👍🏾
Awesome! It’s such a great little printer.
Thanks. I have been wanting to do this but unsure. Your video was perfect!

hi , any Epson printer Ecotank i can convert it to sublimation ink right??? ..
Hello. Yes that should be correct!
Thank you for this video! Very helpful, to the point and pleasant to watch.
Thank you! So glad you like it. 😄
Great Video ! I am looking into this printer. I have no knowledge on this transformation to a sublimation printer. My question if i could please . I have read on some of these transformations .Do i need anything special besides just filling these with sublimation ink from start like any chips ? and other anything besides just loading from start sub. ink ?
If you're using an ecotank printer it really is as simple as loading sublimation ink. As long as there has not been any other kind of ink installed first. Make sure you have sublimation paper and an appropriate heat press for your projects! Thanks for watching!
@@JustMightDIY I was looking at the same one in your video so this is Great News for me then !! 😍😃 It is a brand new one in box so im guessing thanks to your video i have nothing more to due but add sub. ink . Can you use any sub. ink in these machines and i promise lol ill leave you alone after this .
oopps my lord it is a 7720 im looking at not a 2720 so i hoping same thing goes. My apologies 😑
No worries, that is a cartridge printer for sure. We looked at that option but found too many elements that made an ecotank easier in the long run. Good luck. Happy crafting!

How do you do a power clean on this printer? It says on printer go to epson support but doesn’t tell me what to do from there
Hey there! We haven’t done one, so we’re not sure of the steps. There could be something in the menus on the machine, though. You might try to do a UA-cam search for how to Power Clean an EcoTank 2720 - there are prob some videos out there…
Wonderful video! Just wondering, have you ever done sublimation using a convection oven or a NuWave Oven?
Hello and thanks for your question! We have done sublimation in a convection oven - we have a few videos on that here on our channel! Check out our sublimation playlist to watch them.
What paper did you use for alignment
Hey! We just use plain paper for the setup
Thanks for the video! Y’all just solidified my purchase lol
Woo hoo! 🎉 Happy subbing!
Can I still convert the 2720 if it already has been used with laser ink? Tia
Hey! The 2720 should be an inkjet and not a laser. If you’re referring to an inkjet, we haven’t tried, but we have heard that you can technically convert a previously used one. You’ll want to buy a cleaning kit and ensure that the tanks and lines are totally empty of any previous ink before converting.
Can you use this same ink and paper and create images for tshirts?
Hey! You can sublimate on shirts, but it needs to be a HIGH polyester count in the shirt. 100% poly is ideal for brightness and longevity of the design. Also, it does best on white/light shirts. There is NO white base to the ink, so it can’t put a design on a dark shirt without using something like EasySubli or Glitter HTV for it to stick to. Hope this helps!
Awesome ... I didnt see a link for the ink?
Here you go! cosmos-ink.com/collections/sublimation-ink
@@JustMightDIY thank you so much 🥰
Of course!
This may sound stupid but with the sublimation paper do you use that for printing onto that paper then heat onto mugs, tumblers, shirts
Great question! Our understanding is that sublimation paper has a coating on it that allows it to soak up the sublimation ink and then release it better than regular paper when heated. It’s essentially a medium that allows you to transfer the design on to a number of different substrates like mugs, tumblers, shirts, etc.
Can you elaborate on the 8:12 mark when you say don't use alcohol! I am new and thought you needed to clean with it prior to application! Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching! The alcohol should be used PRIOR to sublimating to clean the surface. But if you have any residue on it from the paper after sublimating, we recommend using just water. A-Sub paper tends to not pull off cleanly, so there’s usually a bit that you have to wipe off after subbing. Hope this helps!
Hello what design workshop do you use for your images
Hey! We find most of our images at Design Bundles and then use Photoshop for any edits needed. Hope this helps!
Was on the fence but if I can get my hands on a eco tank printer in my budget range then gonna give it a try.
Yes!! We totally think you should. Sublimating is so much fun. 😃
Can this printer with sublimation ink be used as a regular printer as well?
Unfortunately not. Sub ink prints differently (i.e. less vibrant and sometimes the colors look off before pressing).
Can you put a tumbler in the mug system? Does the Cricut mug press replace having to use a overn or is it just meant for mugs?
Hey! You can do. 20oz tumbler in the Cricut Mug Press, as well as a few other awesome blanks! Below are some videos that you should check out on this topic:
Sublimate a tumbler in the Cricut Mug Press: ua-cam.com/video/g2I37B0iNNY/v-deo.html

How tall/wide of tumblers you can use in the Mug Press: ua-cam.com/video/dCOUGOtOnCY/v-deo.html
The convection oven is honestly easiest for the tall tumblers, but the Mug Press will do the trick for sure!
The colors are soooo vibrant. Thanks for sharing.
By the way, where did you get the printer cart?
Thank you! We built the printer cart with a sheet of plywood and some IKEA drawers. Here's the video of how we did it if you're interested: ua-cam.com/video/TsrLcLEO8Ac/v-deo.html
@@JustMightDIY 😱 I enjoyed the video for the drawer, but that is a little out of my league!!! Thanks for sharing your creativity....
Glad you enjoyed the video!
WOW first one i understand thanks, question if you buy the sublimation paper and the printer does the mug have still be a sublimation mug
Oh yay! We’re glad this was helpful. Yes - the mug must also be a sublimation mug in order for the ink to transfer and stick to it. They have a special coating on them. We have some links in the description to places you can buy sublimation mugs and other drinkware.
Hi! You guys are amazing great tutorials
Are you able to use the ink that comes with this printer for sublimation
Hello and thank you! To answer your question - no, you need sublimation ink. The ink that comes with the printer will not work for sublimation. Also, it’s best to use sublimation paper as well, as it’s designed to absorb and then release the ink when heated. And finally, remember that you’ll need sublimation blanks (mugs, tumblers, polyester fabrics, etc) to press on.
hello friends great video gave me answers to a lot of questions, just one more, when I buy a printer the cartridge comes with ink or is it empty, can I use sublimation ink if it is empty, or if it is not empty can I run out of ink first and already when is it empty to use the right sublimation ink?
A little bit confused , can the the inks mixed together or straight from empty cartridge to top it up with dye ink 🤞🤞✌.
Thank you, stay save.
Hey! Thanks for the kind words. As for your question, it’s best to start fresh. Definitely don’t mix regular ink and sub ink. If you want to convert a printer that’s been in use as an inkjet, you’ll need to run all the ink out and do a cleaning (they sells kits on Amazon). As we haven’t done that’s we can’t speak to specifics, but we have heard of others doing so. The best thing though is to start fresh with a new printer and sublimation ink.
Was your ink halfway full too? Because I ordered Cosmo’s Ink for the first time and it wasn’t full. I don’t know how full ink is supposed to be though because this is my first printer.
Once the ink charges, it will go down some in the tanks, as it has to fill the lines and such. That’s what ours did, and it’s totally normal!
Thanks, and I set my printer up and connected it to my phone but when I print lines show up on the picture. Do you know how to fix it?
Hmmm. We haven’t had that issue. There’s a Facebook group on sublimating with Epson printers that you could join and get some great tech support from. Hope that helps!
@@JustMightDIY Thank you I’ll check it out
I have this printer being used with regular ink that it came with. Once it runs out can I put sublimation ink inside ?
We’ve heard of people doing just that, though we haven’t tried it. Be sure to watch videos specifically on that process to clean out the old ink. Hope this helps!
@@JustMightDIY thank you!
Do you have any other ink recommendations that print high quality? Thank you 😊✨
Hello! We also tried out Hiipoo ink in another EcoTank. You can see that video (and how the ink performs) here: ua-cam.com/video/OfBydn1XPaA/v-deo.html
Thanks for this! exactly what I needed
Thanks for watching! So glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for this video! I literally just bought my Epson 2720 like 20 minutes ago. I’m excited to get started!

So exciting! The 2720 is a great printer. 😄
We’re glad you found the video helpful - thanks so much for the sweet words. ❤️ Happy subbing!!
Does it work on things like tshirts as well?
Hey! Yes - you can sublimate t-shirts as long as they have a high polyester count (100% poly is ideal, but def wouldn’t go lower than 75% or so). The lower the poly, the less vibrant and durable the design will be. 😉
Hello and thank you or all your great tutorials! Quick question, Hippo ink or Cosmos ink....Help!!
Hey there! So glad you like the tutorials. :) Honestly, both inks have performed really well for us, as well as the Starcraft Sublimation Ink that JUST came out. Cosmos and Starcraft do provide more black ink in their sets, so that's the only big difference we've noticed so far. They've all worked beautifully though when used on sublimation paper.
When checking out the link for the cosmo ink it doesn’t list the Eason et-2720 as being compatible with this ink
Hey! We just checked the link in the video description, and it does show the 2720 as being compatible.
i did this conversion ...may sound dumb but ...how do you mirror your image?
Hey there! This will depend on what program you’re using to print from, as well as your operating system. We mirror our design before clicking the print button (we use Photoshop). However, there is an option in our print settings (we’re using a Mac, latest operating system) to mirror as well after we click print.
It is important to only mirror it in one place - either the print settings OR in your design program). Otherwise, you end up with it not being mirrored because it flips twice. 😉
Look through the various screens in your print settings and see if you can find something that says Mirror Image, Flip horizontally, or Reverse page orientation. (This option has different names, depending on your operating system version.)
What software should I use for the designs? I have a cricut so I use design space, but I'm sure I'll need something else for my converted epson?
Hey there! We use Photoshop and sometimes Procreate (iPad app). Some people swear by Inkscape. Happy subbing!
Where did you get your awesome printer cart?
Oh so glad you like it! We didn't buy the printer cart - we made it! A sheet of plywood, some IKEA Komplement drawers/tray, paint, and a few tools will get you there. Here's the video that shows the build: ua-cam.com/video/TsrLcLEO8Ac/v-deo.html
@@JustMightDIY awesome! TYSM. I'm now a subscriber 🥰

@@JustMightDIY you're most welcome 🥰
Hello sir
What is important Sublimation ink or sublimation printer for printe mug
Hello! You’ll need a printer that’s been converted with sublimation ink, sublimation paper to print out your design on, a sublimation mug and some sort of mug heat press to actually apply the design. Hope this helps!
When it’s time to refill the Espon is it anything special you have to do? Or do u just add some more ink to the color when it gets low
Hey! While we haven’t had to refill the tanks yet, the process Epson outlines seems pretty straightforward if you’re using the same brand of ink: files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd5/cpd56719/source/printers/source/ink_functions/tasks/et2720_l3160/refilling_ink_tanks_et2720_l3160.html
Is the coasters a sublimination coaster...... do you have a link?
Yes! These are sublimation coasters. Links are in the description. 😉
Is the sublimation paper required? Cricut ink can be drawn on laser paper, so I'm confused why this special paper is necessary?
Hey! We actually tried laser paper with sublimation ink printed designs and were very disappointed with the results. We HIGHLY recommend sublimation paper.
Have no idea what sublimation means.... But do you have to seal or topcoat that at all to protect it?
Sublimation is when ink turns to gas when it’s heated and then infuses into the surface of the substrate. No sealing needed!

So if i used a different ink brand what can i do to use this brand ? Can i just mix the inks or do i have to clean out my printer ?
Hey! So sorry we missed your question. We recommend cleaning out any old ink from your printer before using a new one.
Awesome! Thanks!
Thank YOU for watching! ❤️
I have the Epson surecolor f170
I’m using the Epson sublimation inks but I want to switch to cosmos 🤔 is it posible to switch inks ?
Hi! There *is* a way to do it, though we haven’t tried. The sublimation groups on Facebook have more details on how it can be done, and there are probably a few UA-cam videos on the topic as well. Good luck and happy subbing!
@@JustMightDIY thank you 🙏🏼
Is this a wide format printer?
Hello! No - this is not a wide format printer. For that, you’ll want to look at the Epson EcoTank 15000.
Hello do you leave the gray empty?
This printer doesn't have a grey tank. Cosmos is coming out with an ink set for the printers that have more than the standard four colors soon.
Hi! I was wondering if the refillable cartridges come out. Would I be able to switch back and forth between regular printing and sublimation printing? thanks!
Hello! Unfortunately, the tanks don’t come out, so you cannot switch easily between sublimation and regular inkjet printing.
I can not find the Cosmos Ink, any help ???
Hello! The link to the Cosmos ink is in the video description. 😉
