I notice you mentioned the more polyester the better. I do a lot of cotton shirts w the cricket vinyl.. can u use cotton tees with this or just polyester.. the instructions were awesome very clear to understand..I want to move into the sublimation world and this was very helpful and less intimidating
Thank you so much!! With sublimation the fabric does need to be polyester, 100% is best. If it is a blend you want to have at least 70% polyester. Cotton fabric does not work with sublimation ink.
This was an AMAZING tutorial 👏🏾 . Clear & concise instructions. Even ur tone was very soothing... sounded like anyone can do this. Can't wait to get started! 😁💯

Can you make a video on step by step to set up the printer setting , I do appreciate you showing how to fill in the ink but most of us newbie need a little more instructions on setting up your new Epson ET 2800 printer . Would really appreciated ! Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for watching. Unfortunately I don't think I would be able to since my printer is already setup. Each printer is a little bit different. For my printer, once I had the ink in, I plugged it into the power and turned it on and referenced the booklet that came with it. It had instructed me to download the Epson app on my phone and it took me through step-by-step instructions in the app. It was very easy to follow. 💕
Hello I thank God for this video is so clean and understanding. And your voice... the best! It gives me Vanessa Hudgens vives for some reason... but anyways I have a question... I got delivered my printer this week but I just unboxed it today. I plugged it in and turned it on. What do I do? Am I supposed to turn it off and unplugg it to be able to install the sublimation ink?
Thank you so much!! You are very sweet 😊✨💗 I think it will be totally fine to add your ink with it plugged in. I’ve refilled my ink a couple of times since setting it up and it was plugged in each time and turned on.
Great video! Though I do have a question. I know home printers typically don’t have “white ink” because they print on white computer paper usually and do not need to. If I wanted to sublimate on a yellow shirt, I’m assuming the white would come out transparent? I don’t suppose you know a way to circumnavigate this. Incredible video!
Great video!❤ Question: I noticed you haven’t added any white ink. What happens if your image has white in it, how will it print out the white part if it’s on a black shirt? Also if converting the printer do you have to run some sort of firmware or something like they do on the XP 15000 printer?
A while back I had all these questions about sublimation and now to see you go through the process and so well explained I'm like a 💡just came on😂😂 TFS🙏🙏

@@LifeofStyleBlog That is so funny that Ihad all the same questions not only about sublimation but about the heat press as well and I thought it was all complicated and said forget about it but now I see it's not that hard to get started👍

I’m new to the sublimation world. I love to Watch you video and it was helpfull. But I do have a question. Can I use this printer also for making stickers on sticker paper?
What would you say the bare minimum cost would be to do t shirt transfers using dye sub? All equipment. Mid grade cost? You do have a sweet voice. Thank you.
I really enjoyed your video. I have the Epson ET-4800. Ink tanks are filled with the same ink you mentioned. I also have the HTV Ront. The printer and heat press are both unused. Question- do I need a program to print the design on the sublimation paper? TIA
I would like to know what settings you set the printer to print qualitatively on sublimation paper. Since the printer is not primarily intended for sublimation, it probably does not have the option to print on sublimation paper.. Thank you for answer 💖💖
Hi!! i press shirts also and the brown around the side of the sublimation happened to mine too. i found a trick or spraying hydrogen peroxide from a water bottle and onto the shirt then hovering the heat press over it for awhile took most the brown out of the shirt!!
THANK YOU! This explanation was great and finally understand everything. I do have a question: Can I still make it a sublimation printer after the original ink (Epson) I put in the printer finishes? I have the EcoTank 2840.
Thank you so much!! 🤗❤️ I will actually have a few new sublimation related videos out soon! I’m planning some Halloween sublimation crafts, and I’ll be reviewing and trying out a new automated heat press machine and a tumbler press machine 🎃
Help! I have this same printer and want to know if by any chance I need to change the printer settings? Not sure if you already have a video out on what we need to do after this step.. thanks!
I have an Epson Eco tank 2800 and want to convert it to Sublimation Ink. Do you have any advice on how to clean the ink containers after filling with the epson ink?
Hi! Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with the process, I have never had to clear the lines before. But I know it can be done, there are several UA-cam video showing the process in detail, and there is a kit that you can order on Amazon to help make the process a lot easier.
QUESTION: When turning the printer on do I have to download any software to my computer? Will I have to install an Epson app?? Or just turn the printer on and connect it to my wifi? TIA
I always print on the best quality setting and I choose matte paper as my paper option. When you go to print on the computer there should be a pop up with the printer settings. It will ask the paper style and quality setting. There is an arrow with a drop down menu that you can select from.
I love your video !! So does this mean that I can out these images that the converted printer prints can go on ANY shirt or only polyester count shirt ?
Thank you so much! For sublimation it does need to be a polyester shirt. 100% polyester is best, but you can also use a blend as long as the polyester count is high (around 75%). The synthetic fiber of polyester is able to take the ink in and infuse it into the fibers, but natural fibers like cotton can not.
Thanks so much for this video! I just subscribed! ❤️ I'm getting a Epson et 2800 today! Do you have a video on how to set up the color profile step by step?
Hi I love watching your video you explained everything very easy I just purchased my echo Tank 2850 printer I’m going to convert it into a sublimation printer I already have my hippo sublimation ink but I only have the cricket easy press will that work to do T-shirts
Hi!! Thank you so much for watching! I was honestly kind of nervous myself but once I jumped in I was so relieved that it was pretty simple 🤗 Those hippo easy fill bottles are also very user friendly! I think that is a great idea to use the cricket easy press for T-shirts and then down the line you could always choose to invest in a heat machine if you want. I believe the one I used in the video is around $190 on Amazon but it did also come with some attachments. I have heard form others that another good option is to check Facebook Market Place for gently used ones in your area. Sometimes you can find a good deal if someone is looking to upgrade their heat press and want to sell their current one 💕😊
Thank you!! You don’t need any special program to print out the images, you can just use Microsoft Word, or if you have a Mac you can use Pages. Both of those programs let you mirror the image or flip it before you print, that way when you sublimate it will be the correct way. I have a video showing how I create free designs and how I print them for sublimation, I’ll leave it linked here ✨ m.ua-cam.com/video/rcEUYFAE-Ls/v-deo.html
Great video! Thank you. Question: if I had already filled the eco tanks with the eco ink already(before knowing I could turn it into a sublimation) can I use the ink in the printer until fully empty and then switch over to the sublimation ink instead? Thank you in advance for your response. ❤
Thank you!! Yes, that is a possibility, but I do believe the process of fully emptying the ink is a little bit more complicated. Even if all the ink is gone, the lines will have to be cleared out as well before adding the sublimation ink. I’ve never done it myself, but I know it can be done, and there are some videos online to walk you through that process.
Omg!!! Thank you so much for this video and the list of items from Amazon, I have one question I just purchased the Epson 2760 but is renewed from Amazon will it work to turn it into sublimation on a renewed printer from Amazon?
Thank you! I’m so glad you liked the video. It should work as long as there is no ink in the printer. The renewed printer should have empty ink tanks and the lines should be cleared of ink, so you should be good to go with you sublimation ink. I did have an issue with that in the past where I got a renewed one from Amazon, but I think it was really just a return and the printer already had printer ink in it. I had to return it and purchase a new one. But that doesn’t usually happen so I think it should be fine.
I love your video I just got a eco tank ink jet 2850 printer i’ve been a little hesitant about converting it but after seeing your video I kind of calm myself down so I’ve made the decision to convert it to a sublimation printer I already have my sublimation hippo ink I only have a easy press from cricut will that work.
Can you please tell me if you know if the 2850 has the same print quality as the 2800. Somewhere I read the 2850 isn't as good but I can't remember where I read it! I would love to know your opinion. TIA.
Hi! Thank you so much for watching. With Sublimation, it only transfers whatever you print out on the paper in ink. Most printers don’t print white (some more expensive ones do) so if you have an image with white in it then it will be blank areas. Whatever the area you are sublimating onto will show up. So if you need white in certain areas of a design, then you will need a white item such as a t-shirt or mug that is the color white otherwise be mindful that the plain white paper never transfers with Sublimation.
Hi! No, it does not need to be Hiipoo at all! It just has to be Sublimation ink. Regular printer ink will not work for sublimation. Once you do choose a brand of ink you are going to want to stick with that brand though and not mix them in the printer. I hope this helps!
I am thinking about getting that printer As a Christmas gift But I want to make sure it's for sublimation printer and you do all kind of sublimation stuff . And why can't you use the ink at it came with

Sometimes you can find a good deal if someone is looking to upgrade their heat press and want to sell their current one 💕😊
hi, I really love your voice, by the way where did you buy sublimation shirts?
Hi just found you. Do you have a video on what the settings are on your computer so that the colors look bright?
Your video about the printer was so usefull! But now im wondering, what program do you use to get the images printed?
Thank you so much! Exactly what I was looking for. New subscriber and follower! 👍🏼
@Life of Style Blog Thank you so very much , I really appreciate your response. Wishing you a wonderful weekend and week ahead! 😊
Thank you so much!! You as well 🤗💕
this is a really good vid, thank you
Thank you so much!!
@Life of Style Blog thank you so much for the information 😊 I'm a subscriber of hour Chanel and I'm learning a lot happy new year💝
I love your video I just got a eco tank ink jet 2850 printer i’ve been a little hesitant about converting it but after seeing your video I kind of calm myself down so I’ve made the decision to convert it to a sublimation printer I already have my sublimation hippo ink I only have a easy press from cricut will that work.
Can you slice the images to make larger prints with this eco tank?
Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to that question, I’m sorry. I have never tried that.
Say I’ve already set my machine up for sublimation, but I need to move the printer from upstairs to the basement , will unplugging cause any problems?
Not at all, that’s completely fine! If the ink is already in the machine just keep the printer upright when moving it.
What paper did you use to protect the shirt from the heat? TIA
Can you please tell me if you know if the 2850 has the same print quality as the 2800. Somewhere I read the 2850 isn't as good but I can't remember where I read it! I would love to know your opinion. TIA.
After converting are you able to use the ohter features of the printer like scanning?
Wondering if cannon eco tank would work ? Thanks
Will there be any difference between converting 6 tabk ink vs 4 tank ink printers??
Is there a printer for bigger sheets of paper? That can be converted into sublimation printer
Hello great video how do you get just the wording on the shirts with our a white square around it
Hi I just got this printer and I was wondering if I can use a different brand of ink or does it have to be hippo
And why can't you use the ink at it came with
HI there, I am set up and ready to sublimate, my only issue is i never can get the sizing accurate, even for 20 oz skinny tumblers.
