Hahaha Sorry everyone for yelling a bit during this reaction !!! The sound was very loud for me as there was no subtitles ! I wanted to make sure I get everything they say . so I am sorry for yelling
" No Worries. " - Michael " Crocodile " Dundee
Don't worry Biss that makes your reaction even better. 💓💓Please please react to Fallen (with Denzel you will like it)
eh, hearing isn't that important, is it?
never apologize for a genuine reaction. we get it, and we appreciate it
@BissFlix Hey Kiddo! Shout out from the US Marine Corps! I love it when you scream! That's the best part of the reaction! Kekek And I loved this movie as well! Denzel is just a bad ass mofo! Keep up the great reactions! ❤🤍💙💛
12:00 -- He was saying "sorry" to his deceased wife.
26:57 -- By "permission", he was getting reassurance from Susan that he wasn't dishonoring his wife's memory by continuing this undertaking.
You were kinda right... he was asking for permission from Susan because she was still running some shadow factions of the CIA... you learn that in the sequel. Robert was asking her... essentially... if he were to undertake this task... could he count on her resources to clean it up at the end... because technically... he didn't exist.
Oh got it, thank you. Glad you enjoyed the reaction
@@hardymonty Yeah, that too. But I think the point Susan was making was more about his wife, being that they talked about her when they were sitting on the steps. Susan probably knew his wife, so she'd be the closest person to seek some acknowledgement from.
@@hardymonty yeah, this is it. Nothing to do with dishonoring his wife's memory
@@BissFlix AWESOME REACTION OF MY FAVORITE THE EQUALIZER MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😇😇😇😇😇
The loudest man in the room is never the most dangerous.
Right? You tell them Joe
Rarely but not never. I've been around some rough people and only ever met 2 who were the loudest and could fully back it up
Those CIA agents are badass. The Equalizer is a retired CIA agent helping people. This was a TV series in the 80's. It did quite well.
edward woodward
Lol. Most CIA agents aren’t like this at all. Most are nerdy ordinary ppl, easily forgettable. Most are analysts. You can’t be a good “spy” if you stand out. An “operator”, James Bond’s style, are like less than .05% off the CIA.
Equalizer 2 & 3 are more CIA characters. Hold on to your headphones.
The guy in the first TV series was a retired Scotland Yard Chief Inspector.
Yeah Edward Woodward played Robert McCall, he was outstanding!!!!!!! My favorite episode was the one with Adam Ant!!!
Biss yells in horror. Then goes "Nice." Then yells in horror. Then giggles.
"Dead by knowledge!" 🤣 You are going like Equalizer 2 and 3.
Haha I’m looking forward to it
He wanted someone that he trusted to tell him it was okay to step back into his inner darkness.
Didn't use weapons, tho
Yeah he did, thanks for watching
@@BissFlix I mean guns
@@Captainumerica He used edged and bludgeon arms, excepting for the garage door opener and the larger style blank cartridge nail gun firearm.
@@clutchpedalreturnsprg7710 I meant conventional weapons, nm
At the beginning he told his co-workers he was a Pip referring to the 70's pop music group, *Gladys Knight and The Pips*
When Robert gets to the store where the employees are hostages, Robert plays a song from Gladys Knight and The Pips (Midnight Train To Georgia) over the store speakers.
Oh you right, good catch
"Gray hairs is a sign of wisdom." LOL I didn't know I was the wisest human alive . . .
I'm balding with a "HEDGE ROW", all my hair is now white.....am i smarter than a GREY haired person with a full head of hair. Enquiring minds wants to know!
..so you HAVE hair left!?? (A-hole! ..from a 79'er) 😛
Haha now you know
@@philipocallaghan white hair does indeed mean more wisdom, but you have less of it.... that's an Equaliser.
Nikolaî (Martin Csokas) was born in Invercargill, New Zealand (the Land of the Hobbits). His mother, a nurse, is of Irish and Danish ancestry and his father is Hungarian.
Oh really?
One of my favorite "underrated" actors. He did a great job in this I think, a movie also needs a good villain to make it stand out. He also played a tremendously entertaining villain in Into the Badlands tv-show, among other things.
The movie was based off of a TV show. term equalizer in this context is to have a weapon that puts you on equal footing with the bad guy. So the mother was being bullied, she could not fight back, BOB became her equalizer, leveling the playing field.
There are 3 movies, you get more information about Robert in the second one. The 3rd movie is the grittiest one. Very well done.
Thank you, didn’t know it was based off a TV Show that’s interesting
Yeah, my grandma used to watch that show😂
"...he came for permission." OOF! I still get goosebumps.
I have been waiting for this perfect combo of you and this flick for some time, and you delivered 😂. Awesome.
My pleasure, glad you liked it
The Old Man and the Sea is a Fantastic book by Ernest Hemingway. It was made into a Great Film Staring Spencer Tracy. I highly Recommend It!
Thanks for your recommendation
Best line.......................He didn't come for help..............He came for permission.
Robert always gave them a opportunity to the right thing.
Right?
Some other awesome movies staring Denzel Washington: Fallen; The Bone Collector; The Manchurian Candidate; American Gangster; Man on Fire.
Virtousity is also a good one, him and Russell Crowe really play off each other .
and Training Day
Fallen is underrated, maybe not a masterpiece but there is something in the movie, such great atmosphere that I really like (and short but phenomenal Elias Koteas role)
Everybody in my family were singing "Time is on my side..." for some days after watching:D
Loved the *Bone Collector* .
@@Nickxxx85 Absolutely agree about Fallen.
Enjoyed your reaction.
The original 'Equalizer' was a popular TV series in the 1980s. Completely different character, but the same basic idea - former superspy who uses his skills to help people in trouble, contacted via a regular newspaper ad. He followed the same pattern each time - politely approach the troublemakers and suggest they back off, sometimes even offer a deal of some kind and, when they refused, he would take their entire organization apart.
Denzel Washington's version of The Equalizer is amazing. :)
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it
I've heard the show (it was British, I think) is really good. Never seen it, not 100% sure its ever made its way over into the US. The new version of the show staring Queen Latifah sounds really interesting too.
Denzel brings so much gravitas and dimension to the character.
@@doorofnight87 The 1980s show was set (mainly) in New York. Mostly American cast, but the lead role was taken by British actor Edward Woodward. He looked and sounded like a bank manager, but could turn the scary on REALLY well.
@@7thsealord888 Thank you! I knew the lead actor was Edward Woodward, who was British, but I didn't know it was an American production and set in the US. Knowing the lead was British, I just assumed it must be set in London, or somewhere in the UK.
@@doorofnight87 No worries. Great show. A recurring character was Control, his former boss, played by Robert Lansing.
the bad guy in this movie, Nicolaî was in "Lord of the Rings" (an Elve), "Jason Bourne 2" (a killer in Berlin) , "Kingdom of Heaven" (Guy de Lusignan)
Timeline, Kangaroo Jack, and Vin Diesel's Triple X
He is old now but I always wanted to see him playing Bond, he would've been phenomenal
@Nulli_Di I didn't recognised Vladimir Kulich ! ....he was also a Viking in the serie "Vikings" (with Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha) in 2013 (Episodes: "Wrath of the Northmen", "Dispossessed" and "Trial")
I love this movie and I loved your reaction Miss Bisscute❤❤❤❤. please complete the Equalizer trilogy with Denzel he is a magnificent actor, and you have to react to the two films with which he won the Oscar: Training Day (2001) and Glory (1989) and my personal favorite: Fallen from 1998 (Denzel chasing a murderous demon that changes bodies with a single touch of skin). You Will love It.
Fallen is spectacular. Been a long time since I've watched it.
My favorite Denzel movie is *The Book Of Eli*
Thank you so much
"noo our leg, we need it " 🤣
"Guns versus books".
You might be onto something Biss.
English is my wife's second language, and she also turns up the volume on the TV when there a no subtitles available.
Love the evil giggle that you get when a good guy does something evil. Very revenge minded of you lol
Haha thanks, glad you enjoyed the reaction
He was a CIA high end operative that retired after his wife died and took on a new life. It is called situational awareness that you completely understand your environment.
You liked Gran Torino (Clint Eastwood) so definitely watch Million Dollar Baby!
The music playing in the Home Mart during the attack was by Gladys Knight and the Pips! :))
It’s definitely a movie I’m keeping an eye out
@@BissFlix, chiar daca Equalizer e bun, Million Dollar Baby este net superior, la toate capitolele. Unul stimuleaza atentia vizuala, celalalt toate simturile, plus sufletul.
Your definitely going to love this series!!!
2nd that.
Thanks, looking forward to it
Glad you enjoyed it. I remember the old TV show by the same name(1985 to 1989), I enjoyed it so when they started making these films I figured they had some good source material.
Thanks, I did indeed, hope you enjoyed the reaction as well
The Old Man of the Sea movie with Spencer Tracy is one of the best !! You should impress everybody by reacting to that old classic🌟🥊
Maybe someday I’ll get to that, who knows
The old man in the sea is a great book, Ernest Hemingway. It's about a fisherman in a paddle boat trying to bring a fish home that he caught.
It genuinely is one of the greatest books ever written.
My favorite book is the stand by Stephen King. It is an extraordinary book, you should do a reaction to the miniseries that had Rob Lowe, Molly ringwald, Gary sinise, and Ray walston. But read the book first.
Where I live it is one of the mandatory lecture in school, I red it when I was 12
I like one quote from Hemingway: "I drink to make other people more interesting" :D

@@Nickxxx85 You are welcome, 23 was my favorite.
Great reaction Biss and look forward to you watching the sequels. Denzel is one of my favourite actors and worth watching in anything.
Some of my favourites are Philadelphia, Courage Under Fire, The Bone Collector, Deja Vu, The Book Of Eli, Magnificent Seven (2016) and The Tragedy of Macbeth. Hope to see you react to some of these in the future.
Thank you so much
It's hard for anyone to look good acting opposite Denzel but Marton Csokas did just that. The scene between them in front of Bob's apartment is a masterclass in acting.
They performed very well
The movie is based on an old tv show with the same name. It was about a retired CIA operative (played by an old Englishman) who spends his time helping people in trouble. And @BissFlix, never apologize for your English, it’s extremely good. Your vocabulary amazes me. I’ve lived in Japan for 20+ years and I speak the language well, but I sure wouldn’t know “cauterize “ in Japanese off the top of my head.
After the three Equalizer movies, please consider the two JACK REACHER movies starring TOM CRUISE where Reacher is a retired Military Police Investigator, with a rank of Major
Jack Reacher (2012)
Jack Reacher Never Go Back (2016) with actress Cobie Smulders (of the Avenger movies)
Both of these movie series are a great choice !!
(Thanks - Dave Strong)
Noted, I’ll keep that in mind thanks
I love when people say “my parents would love this movie”. I don’t know what it is but I feel this too. My dad DEFINITELY loves this movie.
So would mine 😂
When McCall takes out the Russian Mobsters at the start...When he says "Sorry"...He was apologising to his Wife...As he said He promised he would not return...To the Person he was before Biss! Also at the end! When he turns up for the Showdown at the Store...The Song playing is by "Gladys Knight and the Pips"...To let everyone know...He is there! Early in the Movie...When some of his Co-Workers...Were trying to guess....What He did before...He said "I was a Pip" Which was one of Gladys backing Dancers and Singers! I only know this...As i have watched this Movie...Quite a few times!:p Love this Avenging Angel...Assassin Character! Denzel is amazing in this role! Keep watching this Series! Well worth it Bisscute!! ✌ ❤
Will do, I liked this and definitely looking forward to the rest. Thanks for watching
Bisscute!! I'd have to say you're one of the most entertaining reactors out there!! You've the best sense of humor!! Thanks for the great reviews!!
Wow, thank you
Fantastic reaction, Biss! The Equalizer trilogy is one of my all-time favorites. You'll definitely want to watch the next two movies. By the way, you did great picking up on everything! You're one of the few people I know of that picked up on the honey being used as a natural disinfectant. I really enjoy your reactions!!🙂
Thank you so much
good related movies:
"A History of Violence" (2005)
"Eastern Promises" (2007)
Yeah they filmed the majority of the movie in East Boston and Chelsea Ma right in the neighborhood I grew up in. The 'Mystic River bridge can be seen in the apartment view that connects points north to downtown Boston.
Nice
The TV series in the 80s had a British agent that lived in the US and helped people who were in trouble. This film is the first of three, the second one has Pedro Pascal and takes place in US, The third takes place in Italy. All very good to watch.
After he killed Slavi and his hoods...... when he said he was sorry he saying it to his dead wife because he broke his promise to her.
Ahh I see
“Maybe if you work him hard enough, he will have a heart attack”. 😏 I love this girl. You dear, are badass.
Haha thank you
After the first bloodbath, McCall was able to finally get a good night’s sleep. Based on the 1985-89 TV series. The brief opening montage is one of the scariest at the time. The city streets when the sun sets is terrifying. Innocents stalked by evil, but lurking in the shadows was The Equalizer, an avenging guardian angel played heroically by the late Edward Woodward. He made you feel safe. His life lessons in the series kept me safe and reassured in real life, going home very late at night after work. His wise words ringing in my ears. Walk with confidence, not like a victim. Stay in the light with people around. Take the long way home, avoid shortcuts in dark alleys. Trust your gut and walk away or find another route. Denzel Washington is a great Robert McCall and made you feel safe like Woodward did. In the final bloodbath McCall descends into savagery as he unfortunately, finds his original self which he has been restraining all this time, now unleashed. His call sign in the series “Odds against you! Call The Equalizer”.
Denzel gives solid Dad energy here. Like Liam Neeson in "Taken," and Denzel's role in "Man on Fire." Very similar to the Grandpa energy in "Gran Torino," but younger. The "permission" Robert was seeking was in relation to the promise he made to his wife. He decided he was going to make an exception for Teddy and Pushkin.
The main bad guy in this movie, Teddy, was an elf in "The Lord of the Rings."
I see, thanks for watching
The Moustache man is Tait Fletcher. He's had some of the most painful and famous deaths. He's been killed by The Equalizer, The Accountant and John Wick.
Oh wow
3:29 yes, and is really good. As a matter of fact, there is a movie based on the book.
Might check it out in the future
There's a movie called "Nobody" that you might like. There are 3 Equalizer movies at the moment, but Antoine Fuqua has said that there may still be a 4th.
Definitely a badass movie! I love this whole genre - avenging angel, champion of the underdog, someone capable of inflicting great harm who strives for peace and harmony.
Hello Bisscute, the two actors at 8:57 are in another movie together. The movie is a remake of a movie from about 1959. It is called " The Magnificent Seven ".
Oh? Might check it out someday
@@BissFlix Thank you. I could not ask for more. I've watched them both many times. I've watched them enough for the two of us. " Hey! "
At the end, it was a horror movie with the Russians as the high-school campers and Bob as Jason Vorhees.
Many of us remember the 1980's TV series, "The Equalizer", I believe Robert McCall was a former CIA Operative. If I remember correctly he referred to the CIA as The Company, the historic informal name. In the movies, I believe Robert McCall is supposed to be a former Special Forces and ex CIA Operative, or some other off the books Black Ops. "If you or any members of your team are caught or killed, The Secretary will disavow any knowledge actions"
Thanks!
Thank you ❤️
A nice little throwback to the tv series… the Black Jaguar car used in the garage torture/ interrogation scene in this movie was a reference to McCall’s Black Jaguar in the TV Series
Loved your reaction & how observant you are to details. The whole equalizer series is well worth watching.
Wow, thank you
Biss, some background on Robert, he was a former elite operative in the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), which is very similar to the CIA, but focuses on a much different target objectives. Before that, he was a Force Recon in the US Marine Corps. The lady friend. Susan, that he seek help from to get some info works for the CIA. Apart from info, he's also seeking reassurance from her that he's not doing something bad, which would dishonor his dead wife. As usual Biss, your jump scares, laughs and giggles are always humorous and entertaining. Love your reaction. Can't wait for u to watch the 2nd film.
Good one, Bisscute! Yeah, these are good movies. I think you'll have fun with them. Thanks for sharing this one. 🙂 Oh and btw, the song he played over the public address system in the store for the big fight, that was Gladys Knight & The Pips, LOL!

Young lady, there simply is no finer gym shoe than the New Balance 860. It's not a Dad shoe. I work out like a beast in my 860s and I run circles around those 20-somethings. There's also nothing wrong with putting Pringles on your sandwich. That's perfectly normal.
The Old Man and the Sea is Hemingway. Every man should read Hemingway. If you would like to hear a song inspired by it, look up Kenny Chesney's, "Hemingway's Whiskey". Anyway, leaving you a comment and a like. Hope your days are all beautiful.
Thank you, noted. Glad you enjoyed this reaction
30:20 You don't count that, you weigh it, subtract everything that isn't money and do the math.
The Old Man and The Sea is a fantastic book.
Maybe I’ll read it sometime
I love your reactions! Equalizer 2 and 3 are awesome also. I think 3 might be the best. But, before you watch Equalizer 3, Man on Fire with Denzel, it has an interesting connection to Equalizer 3.

@@BissFlixWatch the original version with Scott Glenn. IMO, it's even better than the remake, although Mr. Washington is always brilliant.

It’s great to see one of the greatest actors ever, Denzel, with a phenomenal young actress who I say will be known later in her life as a great as well, Chloe Maretz.
The most important move Terry(Alina) did in this movie was sit down with Robert @ talked to him.

Robert McCall in this version is a former MARSOC (Marine Special Operations) turned ISA (that is like CIA Special Operators) who faked his death to leave that life behind to honor his wife's dying wish. When your body is stressed, it goes into flight or fight mode. high levels of cortisol and adrenaline are released into the blood stream causing you to perceive time as slowing down. This is really your brain processing sensory input faster. With the right training and experience you cannot just react faster but think in a controlled manner. This is what the camera is trying to explain quickly. Honey has antimicrobial healing properties and has been used for thousands of years for healing.
that one guy ,had a decent "drill" by denzel ^^
Thank you Biscute for being so adorable and so much fun to rewatch a movie with . If you liked this one, you will enjoy the sequel Equalizer 2. Thank you so much.
Timing yourself in everything is a manner to have a memory of how long it takes to do things so that can be used when calculating variables quickly. It can simply be described as discipline.

You find out in the second movie that he was a part of a special government agency and he was incredibly good at his job. The next movie is good but the 3rd movie is even better than the first one. The sociopath with a business card she was describing was the gangster centre from Russia not the cop. I don't know why I feel compelled to tell you that but I did.
This one and the third one were my favorites. Sit back & relax, you’re about to be introduced to Robert McCall. 😊

If you like Denzel Washington, you should watch “Glory.” Amazing performance that won him a well-deserved Oscar.
McAlister's will alone make you home. Because home alone, the movie, taught us about people who steal from our family.
All joking a salad.
Pushkin?
I just watched through these Equalizer movies last week.. you're in for a treat.. they are all great, but think 3 is my favorite.
Denzel Washington is not only a great actor, but one of the only people in Hollywood who seems remotely humble or intelligent.
They will give a little more on who he is in the next one..
The lady he talked too said "I'm no longer with the Agency" which I interpret as the CIA, so he was probably with the CIA at some point. Could also be the NSA (National Security Agency).
Don't ever apologize because your understanding of the language is difficult. You grasped very important parts and clued everything together. That is what we all do - as it is impossible to remember all that happens in a film. The good or great films, I tend to watch multiple times - not just because they are worth my time. I also try to figure out nuances that are extremely subtle, but are also important to the overall plot. The next film, in the series delves deeper into Robert. You will have a great time watching it.
!he made him a piersing! so cool bissflix... love your reaction every time
It's really enjoyable to see how much fun you had while watching this movie. The first Equalizer is a masterpiece. Glad you liked it so much! :)
Other really good movies by Antoine Fuqua are Training Day, Olymups has fallen and Shooter.
