I am a retired police officer from Berlin - Germany, on my hit list of despicable criminals pimps, drug dealers and corrupt "police officers" (they massively abuse the trust that we have with the "normal" population, at least in Germany) are very high up.
I worked as a police officer for 40 years without committing any crime. The overwhelming number of police officers in Germany have this attitude. This is the only reason why we enjoy such a high level of trust.
I don't care if someone was once a "good cop."
I have taken an oath of service and the citizen has the right to expect that I will not become a criminal.

The book he was reading was "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison, not "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells. They're both incredible novels but totally different genres.

A great movie based on the 80's tv show where Edward Woodward played Robert McCall.
Where Robert McCall is "The Equalizer", a private detective with a lot of contacts who is available for hire if you have a problem that you don't know how to solve. His no-nonsense attitude, compassion, and experience with dealing with a wide variety of situations makes him a powerful and useful detective. And if you have a problem that you can't solve by yourself, the equalizer will help you with it.
William Zabka(Johnny from Cobra Kai) played his son in the show.

They called Denzel to do the show he wanted to but couldn't as he was already working on another show.
This is based on the old television series The Equalizer from 1985. In that a retired secret agent goes around help everyone day. People with things that the law can't same idea but different execution. Then don't even get me started with the bs that's the new Equalizer television show. It's a insult to the original show in every way possible.
Now for the movie version you know they are some. Top secret highly trained person if the only way out of their job. Is to either die or fake your own death that is some ghost opes make people completely disappear. Leave of work right there now the stuff about his wife he promised. To stop doing his job an to stop killing people basically. To have a normal every day life but after what they did to that one girl. Then after trying a peaceful solution he had to break that promise to help here an the other girls. Then well he decides to help those that need help. This is non spoiler it's just basically common sense line of thinking. He keep the promises to his wife until he tried a peaceful resolution. Then when that failed he only had one choice that was to break the promise to his wife.
Side note I started a deep dive into The Fly movie Franchise. All 5 yeas there is five movies in it I only know this. From getting the Shout Factory The Fly collection box set. There is the Original The Fly the sequel to that The Return of the Fly an the sequel to that The curse of the Fly. Then the remake of The Fly an The Fly 2 the sequel to the remake. So yea the first 3 where interesting as a hole story. I only have the remake an its sequel left to go side note Mel Brooks was a producer on the remake of The Fly. So he did alot more then make comedys basically. They keep his name of of non comedys so people won't think they where comedys. Because he was well-known for his comedys that was the movie studios logic. From what I understood because with the remake of The Fly you think horror. So you would not think the one behind movies like Blazing Saddles or Spaceballs. Was involved with producing a horror movie like The Fly 1986.
You also have to watch parts 2+3 of The Equalizer and John Wick 4.
