I just discovered this video a minute ago. The "quarter with a metabolism problem" made me laugh. I'm working on a QAYG right now, and trying to find a good way to put the squares together.
I once brought fabric for a project I was going to donate to a charity. First step is to wash and iron fabrics before you start sewing. Walmart had the right color. When I got the fabric ready it was virtually like cheesecloth. I now only shop at fabric and craft stores!
@kayeprescott8228 yes. I'm sorry about that. This was more of a video just yo show my UA-cam friends what I was making for my granddaughter. It didn't work out quite as I planned, but it's still a cute warm blanket 2 years later. And my daughter is having another baby in February so I get to make another baby quilt. Thanks for watching. Best wishes for your project.
That is awesome I still have a quilt my grandma made 30 years ago that I use as a throw and it reminds me of her all the time
That's so great! Thanks for watching. I hope you're doing well.

@theREmissionary I'm making a quilt for my newest granddaughter and it's going better. I'm doing strips rather than squares.
You are right who cares what seam allowance you use as long as it’s all the same. All the old time quilters used larger seams.
You did the same as I did with my grandson's quilt! It made it so much easier to put together. It's going to be so beautiful!❤
Way to go, Cool Grandma.
This is crazy....these are exactly the same prints I made a young friends babys quilt with!
I did it qayg
