  • 👉 The following video is a snippet of my latest lecture, which has been uploaded to the Bulletproof Back, Spine & Hips course. In this lecture, I dive deep into the internal systems of your body, which are responsible for the stability and movement in your midsection. The Psoas Major and the QL are some of the main muscles that I will cover in this video.
    .
🤔 Did you know that the PSOAS Major is the only muscle in the human body, that connects your upper body to your lower body. This is a very significant function of this muscle, as it makes it really prone to tightness, due to the constant tension from all sides. The QL does not share the same function, but it is closely connected to the PSOAS major, and most of the time, when you suffer from a back spasm, it is the QL that is the problem and the PSOAS major will be impacted.
    .
👉 Some other interesting facts, such as that the PSOAS Major and PSOAS minor has nothing to do with the action and function of the PSOAS major and the minor is actually an antagonist to the major, as the minor helps to create a posterior tilt in the pelvis, whereas the major creates an anterior such.
    .
👉 What is also interesting is that the QL and the PSOAS major are also agonists and antagonists in certain movements, but in others - they support each other. In the second part of the lecture, I also focus on the neurological factor and the impact that tightness in these muscles can have on the Femoral nerve and others around it.
