  • In this asymmetrical shawl crochet tutorial, we are making the Isabel shawl. It is only a 2-row repeat and very easy to do. Using the larger hook gives it a 'springy' effect. Enjoy crocheting this shawl. Anja x

I've seen several asymmetrical shawl patterns, but this is one of the prettier ones. I like the ribbed effect.

Rich sumptuous pattern Anja. That bit of mohair gives the shawl it's exquisite luxury. Well done lady. I can picture this pattern in a tonal tan/brown effect. I don't crochet shawls, only blankets, but I enjoyed the outcome that you have so pleasingly executed. How proud you must be in creating this fabulous piece of texiled art. I'm sure the ladies will take this podcast as an inspirational index and produce one themselves or for someone they love. Isabel, the name for glory, servitude, and grace. Take care. Enjoy the sunshine. Ken

Echt een sjaal mooi in zijn eenvoud. Anja ik heb nog 2 cakes met dun verloop katoen garen. Is dat oom geschikt voor dit patroon? Groetjes en fijn weekend Monica uit Zuid-Holland Nederland.

I personally think you really need a thicker, more cosy yarn to make this shawl Monica, but by all means give it a try, be careful how big a hook you go up to though, Anja x
