Hi, thanks for sharing this beautiful shawl, looking for a simple pattern and i saw this, i immediately started, actually im in my 20th row now, using our local fine cotton, 12 ply yarn. Your explanation if the magic circle is one of the best I’ve seen. Even when some people go slow, they don’t explain themselves very well. Thank you for breaking it down INCLUDING an easy way to cross the yarn on one side and get the straight lines on the other. So many other tutorials make that part SO much more difficult than need be! Great job all around. The Shawl is beautiful and I love love love working with Scheepjes whirls and Whirlettes any day of the week 😂😂😂 can’t wait to try this one!

Hi Siem, my progress is very slow. I have only done 34 rows so far. I am not using the same yarn. One I am using is a super fine No 1 by Lion Brand cos that's what I had in my basket. How many rows did you do for your watermelon shawl? I notice that towards the end of the shawl there is more trellis work. Does to go all the way to the other end? Thank you so much for your help.
