Now it just needs the Type-S front Brembo brakes 🤙
Are the 2 brackets needed to install the splitter? I have the splitter but the brackets are on backordered with no ETA
Can you put those BC Coilovers on a 2022 SH AWD TLX or Type S? Will the Coilovers affect the factory suspension or void any warranty? Thanks.
Also great in depth detailed video on how to take the parts off. I’m sure everyone that is considering making modifications will come see this video :)
Right on
Great job as always, I never get tired of watching John mount tires!
Same here!
Mike and Brian, Amazing job as always! Ron, it’s good to see you getting some video time, hopefully more to come. And super clean A Spec/Type S in the best color combo. One lucky owner :) Thanks guys for the content!
Much much appreciate it
That car is beautiful, love the subtle enhancements. Great job guys 👌🏽
Thanks so much!
I appreciate your content guys, im a new owner of a 23 TLX and im all about the OEM + Theme with everything i do, thank you for the detailed video on how to remove everything and install all the new parts.
Keep doing what you are doing, thank you.
Much appreciate it
That tsx in the back 🥺😍
Great walkthrough for beginners
So nice to work with a new car, no dust, no rusty.
Yes, nothing frozen
Great job! Nice step-by-step video with detail! Thanks!
Thanks very much for watching
Looks good nice work as always
Ok I can’t take it anymore! Every video you do is so interesting. I see a video of yours pop up and I have too to watch it, might be a Jedi mind trick but I don’t care. Keep up the great content!
Much much appreciated it
I make the funniest faces when I unscrew bolts.
Lol I squint when taking off underpanels because of all the sand/dirt that goes all over the place lol
@@TonyAutoWerks That's called using your safety squints! lol
You still look sharp in our book
@@ahcgarage lol thanks. I been doing this for ages but never realized it until I saw myself on video
The final product looks so nice. All these type s should come factory looking this good. Awesome job as always. 👍
Much appreciate it. Thanks for watching
This is A-Spec, Not Type-S
Nice work. Fall and Winter is the best time to work on builds
You got that right!
Nice car Ron! Great job guys!
Cheers!!
Another great indepth video. Thanks really enjoy watching your work.
Our pleasure!
Crazy how much better the car looks when lowered. Great work
Much appreciate it
Another banger! Great video!
Thanks so much!!
I always enjoy all you're builds, and its nice to see you put back all the clips you removed, I always have bad experiences whenever I go to dealerships and have something done to my car, They always take some of my cars clips I don't know why some tech's do that.
Glad you like them!
Hands down best UA-cam channel on Honda/Acuras!!!!
Thank you so much!!
That looks fantastic, great work as always. There were quite a few of these up at Road Atlanta this weekend for Petit Le Mans.
Thanks for tuning in!!
Wow this is awesome! So jealous! What a beautiful car!
It really is!
Beautiful work. Subscribed!
Thank you!!
beautiful work guys
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome how to video for all us weekend warriors! :)
Thanks for always tuning in 🙏🏼
Beautiful werk love it💪💪💪
Thanks!!
Nice build!!
I'm glad you like it
Another great video! Just hope you don't have any steep driveways to climb or that new splitter is going to get scratched up! Can't wait until you guys get the new Integra in for some OEM plus mods...
Fingers crossed! Scraping the front end is always a bummer. As for the Integra, we can't wait to spice a few things up
i want that diffuser on mine now!
Great choice!!
Saturday is for the boys
Hey!!!
I had my Y spoke wheels powder coated gloss black on my Type S. RDX PMC Edition all black center caps (PN: 44732-T6N-A20) and Acura branded black lugs/locks round out the look.
That's a great setup. Good Job!!
How nice for A Spec guys.
👍🏼👍🏼
AWESOME work, wish you did upgrade on Lexus
Love that clean and simple oem look. Coilover really got it sitting right. Money!!!! 😁👍💯💯
Love it 😍 🔥👍
Wait on the blue Aspec the rear springs went in different. The adjustment rings or perch were on top, here they’re at the bottom.
Question, what about possibly adding quad tips like the type S? Only downside is I’m assuming you’ll have to cut the pipes.
Definitively doing this to my Aspec with 20mil spacers to give it that aggressive stance
Good idea!
Yeah imma have to say after seeing the integra I’m getting a tl type s now lol. Unless the integra has a limited production coupe which we know won’t happen. Sick tlx my guy glad to see My RL running again with a brand new jdm j35!!!!
Cheers!!
Yeah I plan on getting one but I have to wait until March, only 2000 of the 2021 made I'll get the 2022
🍚ers’s conversion tutorial. 😆 Just missing the Type S emblems. Car looks great tho!
Gorgeous. I also installed the Type S front lip on mine as I prefer it over the underbody front spoiler upgrade
Great choice!
The dealer is saying type s lip won't fit on my aspec..
Hey, did you install the lip with or without the supporters?
@@Nicole-rj1ef I forgot, it’s been a while since I installed it but I believe it re-used my OEM A-Spec clips and what not. The middle part was a pain because there are clips hidden but we managed to find them and it was a perfect fit
@@eg619rip Ah okay. I just purchased the type S lip and the supporters are back ordered, so I was just curious if they are really needed. Thank you for the reply!
I would love to see more performance iota grades and more videos of the TLX I love it!! Can you do a basic bolt on our grade side by side the new integra?? Pleaaaase!!
Stay tuned
Man I really want a tlx😮💨
You should get one :-)
Where can u purchase the the Type S parts online, specifically the front spoiler and rear diffuser? I’m assuming this would fit on a 2021 Acura tlx advanced as well?
Nice one.
Thanks!
Wow there must be a total of 50+ fasteners on just the front end of that car! Compared to 90's Civics and Integras which had maybe a dozen or so screws and clips.
Most late model Acura/Honda, the bumper covers are usually very simple to remove and reinstalled. The TLX front bumper is a bit intense.
Looks great! At this point though, why not just get the type S?
Can you please provide with rims specs and tires size front and back..
Thanks AHC for the weekly content!
Question for John is how come use silicone spray on the bead of the tyre? On earlier episodes, i noticed the use of tyre soap. what are the benefits?
The silicone provides just enough lubricant front the installation and does not leave a white streak on the bead
i gotta do my car like this !!!!
You should
Based on the install do you believe the supporting brackets for the type s lip is needed. I have seen on forums that they are not really needed. The reason I ask is because I am about to get it but the support brackets are back ordered. Just wanting to know if they are important enough to wait for several months for. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
What do y’all think about the new Acura Integra
are those splashguards that are installed as well?
I have seen pictures of an Acura tlx Aspec with spoiler and splitter do you have videos with this type installment?
Where did you find the front support brackets for the lip on the type ass front bumper?
Did you guys go trough the dealership to get that lip kit i have the sh-Awd tlx been trying to get a a spec spoiler i cant even find that without going trough the dealership any tips where i can get parts for my tlx
Looks great, wish the rims didn’t looked too pushed in.
Camber correction kit will solves that issue. Hopefully they will release in the near future
Mike, I have questions for you.....I got the Acura aero kit for my TLX Aspec. I looked at adding the Carbon Fiber Type S diffuser fins on my rear diffuser, but it didn't seem like it would fit-is that truly the case? Or do you have to add the black diffuser rear inset piece (like you did in the video)? Also, have you seen any Sports Springs out yet for the TLX Aspec (instead of the coilovers)? Thanks....
In order to install the Type-S Accessory Carbon Fiber Diffuser on the A-Spec (Base, Technology and Advance) TLX, you will need to install the Type-S diffuser (like the one in this video). Then the Type-S Accessory Carbon Fiber Diffuser will mount on top of that.
As far as lowering springs goes, they are currently under development from Eibach and Tein. It could be other companies as well but that all I know at the moment.
I’m thinking about adding just the Type S front splitter, should fit any factory ASpec?
Just picked up a 23 TLX Aspec and want to add the type s front splitter. Dealership saying it might not fit. Do you have to do anything special to add it to an Aspec? Also are the supports needed? I’ve seen installed with and without. Thanks!
No need to remove the "under brackets" underneath the boomerang. The front bumper is not connected to that. The bottom 3 10mm bolts. Just leave the middle one, but take out the outer 2 10mm bolts.
What size tires did you put on these 20in wheels
Spring perch doesn’t go on the top ???
My daughters 18 TLX A-spec has the same rear diffuser you guys added but not the front lip. Do you have a part number for the front?
Edit: just checked my daughters car and it does have a different rear kit. If I can get part numbers for both.
Did you need to buy anything else when you lowered your car. Thinking of lowering my type s on springs. Just want to know if I need to buy other stuff to for the car when I lower it and I don’t wanna have ailment issues??
Awesome work as always.
The wheels, did you get them through the local acura dealer or online?
Selling my type s wheels 2800 with tires located in west covina
Aloha Mike, i have a quick question. After watching your blue TLX get the Aspec kit I went and bought the same kit, would you know if were able to put the type S front splitter under the Aspec front fangs? Mahalo and love the channel.
Thanks for the continued support. Type-S front splitter will not work for the front bumper if you already installed the A-Spec front under spoiler kit. The rear is no issue.
Do you guys have any LEXUS videos?
That look perfect! Does the type S back diffuser came painted?
Yes, it comes gloss black from factory
Where did you pick up the 42800TGZA80 Y Spoke 20" Wheels?
where do we buy those parts, i wanna get the front splitter for my acura tlx aspect 2023
sits beautifully but imo, tremendous mistake to eliminate adaptive suspension with coil overs. The modes are incredible, especially comfort when you want to chill.
That's a good point and fortunately enough, this vehicle does not equipped with ADS or adaptive suspension.
I have a 2012 TSX w/ the factory spoiler and body kit and tech package. It was a special order. Why does this Acura look like a Kia Optima? Hopefully the 2023 will be reminiscent of the older Acuras.
Looks amazing!
Does anyone have the part number for the type s rear diffuser is gloss black?
My dealership can only seem to find it in carbon fiber.
The part numbers are in the description
Do you have a shop in Toronto Canada lol need this done on my tlx aspec
Would you have any fitment issues running a 9.5 in the front on a new TLX Aspec?
9.5 in the front is a bit aggressive, going to be a bit hard to clear all around without alternation to the fender, liner, or stretch tires which highly not recommended
Is that the Integra!? Oo it's the Full size Sedan. Is it the 2022 Legend!?
quick question how much did this all cost?
I have the body kit on my car. Do you think I can put on the rear diffuser without having to take off the rear body kit?
Both the rear Oem bodykit and the Type-S rear diffuser will work together r
Wow that bumper is like a 10 piece bumper sheeesh 😅
It's a bit involved on the front bumper
Now tune it to Type S numbers that would be a first on UA-cam😯
Just maybe
Will it fit ( type s ) splitter if you have the full underbody kit ?
Not with the front
Will those BC Coilovers work on a TLX Type S? Will they affect the suspension in any way or void any warranty? Just want to make sure they are ok to install on a Type S. Any info would be greatly appreciated. By the way, y'all killed it with the blue TLX and this white one. Great work.
I've been trying to find out aswell.
What are the thoughts on the new Integra from AHC guysand the YT community watching these fine instructions on modding the TLX?
We don't know where to start. To be fair with most of the enthusiasts, their concern is valid as far as the identity goes. We still think it's a great looking vehicle with quite a bit to offer. The 1.5L Turbo with the 6-speed manual has a lot of pros comparing the K24 on the ILX. For the tuners, it will be much easier and cheaper to get more power from the 1.5T than the K24. Also, the Type-S model will have an even more powerful powertrain. We are actually very excited for the upcoming release. And we will have a lot of video for it!!!
Now will the front lip and rear defused fit with the aspec front and rear add ons that are on the blue car?
If the factory bodykit is installed, the front Type-S splitter will not work however the Type-S rear diffuser will work
@@ahcgarage bet thank you
Please make a vid for the exhaust we need one badly for the aspec.
Will do!!
@@ahcgarage thanks 👌
Can the fog lights 'black inserts" on the TLX A-spec be put on the TLX S-type without anything interfering with performance???? Please advice!
Are there any options for fog lights? I think the fog lights would enhance the front end of the vehicle.
We do not believe fog light harness is pre-wired for the Type-S
@@ahcgarage thank you
Does anyone by any chance know the part number for the aspec bumper piece that is seen at 7:23?
Will there be lowering springs anytime soon for the type s that you’ve heard of? 👀
Eibach and Tein lowering springs are currently under development
Looks good but it does need some wheels spacers the front just tucked in to much
Yes, hopefully camber correction kit will be available in the near future
mike
can this rear air diffuser be installed on my 2021 advanced??
Yes
Oh look the new integra
love it! there was only black or white and I went with the white and ted interior with all season wheels and tires but love the performance wheels!... also got the under spoilers and door edge guards and the side molding and the black accent blade and black emblems and carbon fiber interior and spoiler and the illuminated side sills, heated steering wheel and the welcome light... I'm thinking of getting 30/35 chystaline tints all around and maybe 70 on the windshield so I don't get pulled over all the time here in NY. and then the whole car ppf'd with suntek ceramic and then a ceramic coating over it...and MAYBE buying the performance wheels and having the all season tires put on them and maybe chrome delete the exhausts.. still haven't decided which I like better.. any recommendations or suggestions? or stuff I should or can do???
Nice work do u guys have link we're I can get this same lip don't want to get the ebay ones ?
Your local Acura dealership. Part numbers are in the description
does putting in the coilovers affect how the car reacts when you change driving modes? Do shocks still soften in Eco mode? or is all of that gone with the coilovers?
Only the Advance 2.0T and Type-S 3.0T have the ADS system. So by installing coilovers on the other models, it will not affect the system
@@ahcgarage so for the Type S, this will disable the suspension driving modes?
Is it pretty easy to program the new tpms? Or do I have to take it to the dealership?
I was also curious if I buy OEM TPMS do I have to go to dealership to program
The Oem TPMS sensor has self-learned feature. It will program and link itself to the vehicle.
@@ahcgarage thank you so much!
Type s exhaust??? What happen???
Where can I get that rear diffuser?
From your local Acura dealership, just look up an Acura TLX type S rear diffuser
Would love to know the wheel specs
