I don't think I cared too much about I-no until I watched a few things Daru posted about meaty setups and OS. I was like "Wait, she does *what* ?" I was just gonna learn her for my girlfriend so I could teach her... But now I'm always considering having her in the pocket when people blow up my Chipp
This analysis was great! And surprisingly informative on goldlewis pressure. Also, the only time I've heard worse commentary of an event was during the SteveH Kusoru set in +R
god i fucking love Goldlewis. None of my characters from previous games were in strive yet, and i was having an okay time with Leo but Goldlewis is so fucking siiiiiiiiiick. He has some of the best weapon feel in any game. The comparison my mind made is he feels like Ike from FE/Smash if he was in a 2d :LUL:
He is tied for the most satisfying character in the game (competition is pot). Every BT has such BEEF behind it and every time you hit someone it’s like you’re breaking their bones
@Steven Luoma i mean anji and faust are worse characters than ino, generally easier to deal with than the rest of the cast. from my experience (a bad celestial) chipp and may are definitely the worst. where does daru stream at?
Watched this first from Daru's stream (hilarious hearing him say "oh... I died" after getting hit once with 80% health in the corner). This is a very polarizing matchup. Feels like 7-3 for I-no in neutral, but then probably 8-2 for Goldlewis if he manages to get her in the corner under pressure. One interesting thing that needs to be noted is how often Daru is getting hit with negative penalty. There's specifically a round he lost because he went for dive RC but didn't get the RC because he had just under 50 tension due to negative penalty.
Watching your breakdowns on gobou make me wanna try playing again, im realizing a lot of the pressure i was using wasnt really tight or true and coulda been way cleaner
I'm really surprised how rarely Gold tried to stuff Sultry/dash with 6P reads in midrange - I know it's risky, but never preesenting the option's worth doing at least once EDIT: The moment I said this, 28:10 he does exactly that and gets her burst lol
I like this matchup. When Goldlewis wins it’s satisfying since he’s the underdog. But I play I-no, so I don’t mind watching Daru run people over.

damn, a good Goldlewis is so fun to watch

his inputs being so kinetic really helps, it feels like I'M swinging that mf thang
@@ghoulchamp6242 same
Ike in FE is a super fast swordsman that shoots projectiles. It's really far off from how he is in smash.
@@gee_woah i own por lol
ino main checking in - im always trying to not get a wall break, her advantage in the corner is worth trying to keep
I usually do the same as well, that's her best spot to have people in lol
Personally I like breaking the wall to get meter bonus for more mixups ino really does become a different character with meter
Usually it's more damage to take multiple hits for characters like I-No/Millia in the corner
I mean I like to do that when the health is low for both of us, but if it's towards the beginning of the round I'm gonna take positive bonus.
The meaty stroke is pretty big if you can break w/ super tho
Very informative! Im still having trouble buffering the correct BT in my strings. Accidentally keep imputting 87412 every now and again
From I-no's perspective, this may be her best matchup, or at least way up there.
i couldn't name a better one, or honestly any other good matchups (short of anji/faust just being worse)

Daru and Gobou are the champions of their respective characters. It’s like watching 2 kings wage war for their kingdom.
268 BT is one of the best feeling moves in fighting game history
369? There's no BT with that notation
@@Gonzakoable 269 is what I meant. Sorry im just use to getting to 3 without really pressing down
He means 268
@@japejuice fuck yeah sorry i never use the numpad notations lmao
I like 684 more but both are mad satisfying
So if we use this set to determine the matchup assuming both players here have the same skill, then the MU is 6.25-3.75 after doing the math.
Why does daru hop around so much after a knockdown. Like he hover dash hs whiff then air dashes into a mix. Can anyone explain to me why he does this?
safe jump timing
Yo, just got trashed by an I-no as Goldlewis, so this comes in really handy.
28:53 just saying... this is impossible to escape
(untechable)
I-No has a 5f 5P in Strive, every other move she has is 6f or higher.
In Rev2 and +R, her 5P was 4f and her 2P and 2K were 5f. In Rev2, her 6H was 5f!
so i cant seem to do back scratcher is there a trick im missing to like buffer it in the air? i tried practicing but i feel im missing something.
you can bet Im adding that jump delay dust to the mix bag
36:08 so we won't see him play Zato again? 😢
Is this the same as ongawa?

14:45 Did the commentator just call I-No's super "Megalovania"
The name of that Overdrive is Megalomania, which is what I think he said.
I don't even know how GLD deals with Chemical Love. I think he just dies.
Yup.
Sajam sayin daru is a sick fuck had me dead😂
Just as long as their not in the air you can put them in grounded wallsplat state and keep the corner
And do a bunch of safe jumps
I'm glad this is up because the commentators on the raw video are incredibly annoying. Really bad.
i-no is infuriating for me to watch especially in matchups like this
Thank you Sajam for making this, I really want to watch this match but I can't stand the commentators. Not funny and annoying af
Edit: I learned something new today
What the fuck is dust reflect? Isn't reflecting stuff with dust Faust exclusive?
@@zenbrown7144 sorry 😞 I didn't know
I-no is the most annoying character to defend against in this game no matter who I play, unless I got a dp
Thanks for the analysis, Im learning Gold Lewis only because faust is poo poo
