    34:45 i think the move is actually fairly comparable to foudre arc. ram's flip is only +1 and has 30f startup. for ky without shock state, the FA is 24f and is basically even depending on how late it hits and if the opponent is standing. i would say bandit bringer isn't in the same category since it's an overhead.

    • @chase7629
      @chase7629 3 роки тому +5

      The proplem with that logic is that kys pressure is horrendous when directly compared to ram, her having that type of move and being actually plus is way more fucked up especally when she can wall you out better than Ky anyway

    • @KoyoteVS
      @KoyoteVS 3 роки тому +1

      Ramlethal doesn't need 214K to be plus is the thing. She'd be super strong even without 214K being plus on block. It's excessive

    • @waxade
      @waxade 3 роки тому +1

      @@chase7629 ram's pressure is only significantly better in the corner. and that move is actually a risk for Ram to throw out. people aren't used to seeing it often yet, but once people start looking for it, it's gonna get 6P'd a lot

    • @waxade
      @waxade 3 роки тому +1

      @@KoyoteVS i'm not saying she needs it. she's still probably top tier without it. but once people start looking for it and 6Ping it, it won't seem as crazy of a pressure tool.

    7:22 wouldnt pushing them back that far be pretty good for axl since he doesnt usually want to be close to them? or is the close range +10 still worth it even for him?

    • @gengarisnotinsmash...
      @gengarisnotinsmash... 3 роки тому +1

      I mean, axl can still do low-overhead with 2h/6h I think, and if it's midscreen he could always use the plus 10 to just back up a bit. In the corner it might be better but midscreen it would probably be better to keep them grounded. But take my words with a grain of salt, I don't play axl.

    As someone who is trying to get good with Chipo I hate that the recca is tied to the same button as the dp. The amount of times I've tried to recca after 6p and got dp just to whiff and be super negative is annoying.

    The accidental dps in this game piss me off so much. If you are holding forward before you do a qcf input it counts it as dp for some stupid reason. Glad to see it's not just my floor 8 ass struggling with this

    At first I was debating playing I-no and Gio. I liked I-no more, but it was easier to win with Gio. But then I heard about Daru saying don’t give up on her, and that sealed the deal.

    Staying far away and hitting 2H is the only thing I could do to figure out the I-NO matchup after the earlier J.H.nerfs on Ram. 2K works, but Ram gets so little reward and is beat out so easily by the other normals that it doesn’t feel like a good strategy in most meterless situations. Honestly the matchup does not feel Ram favored at all to me and I’ve heard other Ram’s say the same. Stroke is just such a fucked up move in the matchup that you shift your entire game plan around it.

    • @63skarduken
      @63skarduken 3 роки тому

      You don’t have to interrupt it to deal with it. crouch block and grab H stroke on reaction or punish S stroke with 5k dauro. 2k is low reward but it’s also the safest option. I-no has low health and if you get a hard read on a stroke and get a counter hit 2d or 2h you pretty much win the round

    • @chriswest9871
      @chriswest9871 3 роки тому

      @@63skarduken agreed on hitting a hard read and winning the round.
      2.K. - Dauro is definitely a huge part of the matchup if you’re playing slow and controlled. If you space at 2K reacton range you get beat out by almost all of I-NO’s low normals though; which I’ve found pretty frustrating.
      Reacting to H stroke grab is definitely doable, but man… no amount of labbing has gotten me to be consistent with it in Neutral unless I’m focused exclusively on answering stroke.
      I guess to me, I-NO is one of the few matchups where I don’t feel comfortable playing the way RAM normally does. As a slow approaching wall. Her normals just don’t seem to line up well and while you do have answers; they’re super reactionary and doesn’t feel like you’re in the driver’s seat the same way most other matchups feel.
      Not saying that’s a bad thing or that I’m right; but her play style seems to shift a ton in this matchup compared to others.

  • @BlueDragon7100

    Honestly I agree with her flip being plus. That being said they admitted they just didn't know how to balance it when it was an overhead, but they couldn't just make it a mid because then it would be totally pointless since it's so slow on start-up and doesn't go very far.
    You could say the same about Ky's flip, but that move is weird on its on since how you can react depends on shock state and how you block it. Especially as a pad player sometimes I accidently get jump block when I try to go from crouch to stand block. In which case I've air blocked it and I'm even more negative than had I crouch blocked but I'm never sure if I stand or air blocked because it hits so soon after.

    not to say that i-no is a bad character because I don't believe that is the case, but man watching Daru play against these two players, it seems like Daru has to work so hard to actually kill. Like round 1 against Anco takes 50 seconds to end, and Daru gets it, then next round it takes 20 seconds and 2 openings for Anco to explode Daru's health bar. It just seems like so much effort every round Daru wins
