In a world that is unsettled and scary you are a bastion of hope and calm. Your channel is so refreshing. I wish you could do a boot camp to help 90% of the family boogers who are doing it all wrong. Bless you and your wonderful family. Each one will change the world. Maybe just their little corner of it, but the world is better for your being it.

Spreading Gods word through her actions of a good Christian! How Showing people how to love others and involve children in doing/learning how to do everyday chores to help the adults of the family so we all can have more family time together. Instead of the parents doing all of the daily chores of a household leaving little free time ( for the adults to have) for the children to enjoy. Some of the Amish ‘old order’ are so worthy in todays society.
God bless you and your family Ruth Ann

I find this channel absolutely delightful. While the likelihood of me ever actually making my own cheese or butter is slim to none, I watch every single episode because she is delightful to watch no matter what she is whipping up in her kitchen. And I've saved a multitude of her recipes for my own personal use as well. One of the best UA-cam channels in my opinion.

Try cheesemaking! It will make you feel accomplished! And there are some cheeses that don't take quite as many steps, and you can do them small batches...

My Saturday morning treat...watching Ruthann create something wonderful! I don't plan on becoming a cheese-maker, as we do not have access to extra milk at this point. But...I absolutely love your teaching along the way! I bought some fresh butter over a year ago, and I thought it had gone "bad" and threw some of it out; when you said it could still be used for baking, I had a thump-my-head moment...of course...that makes so much sense! Also your explanation of the liquid from the butter needing to culture was super informative; I've always wondered about that and to my knowledge no one has ever explained it as you did! Thank you for showing us your garage...you are so right to count us as friends! Blessings, Marie

What an awesome response…. I loved your “thumping my head” comment because I can
S-o-o-o relate to it 😅….as I become older my “wiser” moments seem to be a
s-l-o-w-e-r moment 💁‍♀️….but like you I so enjoy Ruthann’s explanations because they make much more sense! The younger seem to speak a different slang type that, not to be rude mind you, but I don’t always grasp their meaning…..thank goodness I have younger family members who can ‘translate’ for me 😉….👍

You don't HAVE to use raw milk to make cheese. If you add calcium chloride to store bought milk you can use that instead. I thought it would be hard to do but keep in mind cavemen made cheese first.

Wow u do so much in one day than most of us,RuthAnn. I remember watching my grandparents who owned a dairy ranch, and all the work they did, farming, cattle, and dairy. I would own steers for beef,so much easier in the long run, dairy cattle not so much. Your children have learned so much and will continue.

I want to try farmhouse cheddar next with our goat milk. The thermostat for the fridge is the most genius thing ever! I have one for our lizard for his ceramic heater in the winter. It never occurred to me to use one for a cheese cave. Bravo!

I loved learning everything! Thankyou! My dad would try to make cheeses as a child growing up. 8 Kids and mom and dad. We had ONE cow and he milked moning and night for years. Our family did well on the 2 gallons a day we would get. Mom didn't (apparently) understand we could have had REAL whipped cream as she always purchased the fake stuff!

I love when you post🥰 ! You videos and sharing is such a blessing. I am wanting to try making butter and cheese, even though I am not on a farm nor have access to raw milk. I appreciate that you tell how you can still make them with pasteurized milk. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Hi Ruthann! I love your channel and learn much from you. Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us. You're so positive and inspiring to many.
I watched one of your videos that criticized your grammar. I was very disappointed in this statement and wish those comments wouldn't be allowed to be shared. We don't watch you for your grammar but for your abundant and pleasantly given knowledge that your lovingly share with us. Please don't let those that feel the need to criticize get to you.
Again, thank you for blessing us! Sending much love and hugs,
    Gracie, (Iowa transplat in Missouri)

I’d be so happy to see all of your cheese recipes in video form if you ever get a chance to record them. I really struggle reading instructions - I’m a visual learner. I’ve had a cow in milk since June last year and didn’t feel confident making hard cheese until this video. I could cry I’m so happy. I’ve made two of these recipes and just did a Parmesan. I preferred your video so I hope to see more!

(I am Ruthann's "neighbor." I live in the same area as her and her family). We live in Northern Iowa. The tornados were all in Southern Iowa last night. So, our area wasn't affected by those tornados. We just got a lot of rain all day.
However, we do have severe storms in the forecast again for tonight and tomorrow. Praying for everyone who was affected last night and praying for everyone to stay safe throughout tonight and tomorrow's storms as well. 🙏
      God Bless.
