    The cake looks like rays of sunshine on a plate, particularly with the delectable custard sauce draped over it. Yum! My daughter and I will make this when she visits next week!

      Hi Wynona, how are you? I love this comparison to rays of sunshine actually - didn't look at it in this angle (✿◠‿◠). I'm sure your daughter will do a wonderful job at giving this recipe a try. We would love to know how it turns out. 😻

    First, you look so lovely in this video, Teenuja--like a warm-hearted woman who makes tasty cakes, as a matter of fact! Second, this cake looks like such a welcome respite from winter and yet the sort of plain, satisfying food that one craves during the harshest season of the year. TFP : )

      Thank you for your warm lovely words tamcon. Fruit cakes are my favourite types of cakes. Growing up there was always so much fruit at home that my mum used to make fruit cakes very often. I've kept my fondness for them. :) Thank you again for watching our videos and for always finding something nice to say. You warm our hearts.

    If you were to use fresh peaches, would you just put them in place uncooked, or cook them first then put in the batter?

    Hi I want to make this but before I do a few questions. Regarding the custard, I would like to use arrowroot powder instead of cornstarch what do you think? Second, I was wondering if I could just use "all" whole spelt flour, instead of the 3/4 cup white spelt what do you think? thank you K

    • @Veganlovlie
      @Veganlovlie  7 років тому +1

      Yes we are Mauritians and we are vegan. We don't feature animal products. So we were a bit unsure what Tikka you were exactly referring to. We might come up with a vegan version of the tikka recipe you are talking about some time in the future though. Thank you for commenting.

    • @AmadeuShinChan
      @AmadeuShinChan 7 років тому

      Looks like a whole-paragraph of text, that I wrote got lost... yikes. Here I goes again : *sigh*
      2008 (2007 is 1 year off) I was on my first-*Big*-journey in Bali/Indonesia. There I had a dream in the first or maybe 2nd-night of a magicianor shaman-kind of woman, cooking and brewing in a forest. The memory of course is very-vague. I remember that I heard something like: re dis ini or back here (latin: re=back, dis ini=to here in the indonesian-language) The scenery was very much like in the video: Everything I do by Bryan Adams. Coincidence or faith, I found you here, teaching how to make tempeh, that I have got to know in Bali for the first-time, and with your help made one my self. But more often than not I fail. My life is full of setbacks. And the moral of the story is: Being with my mate, helps me with the making of a passable-tempeh. If ever you get to taste: Bors (pronounciation: Borsh) romanian-dish, you should give it a try. It is a very-unique taste made with fermented corn-flour and wheat-bran. I could go on and on, about a girl yesterday I met that is interested in dream-interpretation and so on, but I think you got enough comments to read without me writing a encyclopedia about my dream, or wake-history. so, what is left to say: Thanks for your videos!
