- "Gigot" is a French meat dish. It's typically made from tender leg meat of lamb or young veal. Gigot is cooked with oil, salt, herbs, and garlic.
Suggestion:
- If desired, you can add some red wine, chicken broth, or beef broth to the bottom of the pan to keep the meat moist during cooking.
- You can also make Gigot like this: In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper to form a paste. Then rub the garlic and rosemary paste all over the leg of lamb, making sure to coat it evenly.
Ingredients :
* 1 leg of lamb (gigot), bone-in or boneless
* Garlic (cloves or minced)
* 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried rosemary)
* Olive oil
* Salt, pepper to taste & herbs of your choice
* Red wine, chicken or beef broth (optional)
