I just rode 20 miles each way of this trail last week from Ansonia to Iron Bridge! What a GORGEOUS trail, and had beautiful weather! Thanks for the memories!
Even with the rain a beautiful ride. Winter gloves and winter riding shoes so many choices. I use a shell mitten over a gortex mitten to start. When it gets warm I pull out the mittens and put on rag wool gloves under the shell. Then usually end up riding just in the shell. It's a homemade system. Just pulling out of what gear I have. Been riding down to about 10 degrees with it. Get some funny looks. Do like the looks of those poiges thou. Take care, Al
Awesome, thanks for the tips. Trying to find the perfect gloves. I have almost made the pogie purchase a few times, just seems to be a never ending list of bike stuff to buy, it gets annoying…and expensive.
I did the other half of the trail last month and turned around at the same rest room area. Great trail I loved it but your day was wet, I used my road bike and it was fine
I use big mittens in the winter my hands are always warm with them . I have used many othe Expensive glove and they just can’t complete with mittens.they might look weird but I will take looking goofy over cold hands....
Got some Peral Izumi AmFIB last year and they are good winter biking gloves. Full fingers too if you’re like me and don’t like those weird ass lobster gloves.
I can’t really hang with the lobster claw, but pearl Izumi seems to have more of the gloves I’ve been looking for. I have seen the amfib’s, looks like a serious glove.
Tried the trail in 2021 but a large portion of it was closed (southern section). We couldn't get to Jersey Shore from the trail and the roads we were forced to take weren't particularly bike friendly.
We got a race in Upper Michigan called the Polar Roll every february. They do 15, 30, and 100 mile fatbike courses along Lake Superior if your into that kind of thing. No podiums or money. Just can a guy do it or not know what I mean? I think you could do it!
You would totally need a fabike. Narrow tires would just cut through the groomed trails. This year I attempted the EX30 course which was actually 37 miles and I got 29 down and pulled the plug. I ran out of battry for my headlight and I couldn't see myself coming down the mountain on snow trails without it.@@TravelingThru222
your content is some of the best!! thank you
I appreciate that! Best comment ever.
I love your zero 0⃣ moaning about rain or anything... just ride... brilliant 🙏 warrior on a bike
Way to keep going. Some of those clouds were ominous.
A wet day on the bike is better than being stuck inside.
@@TravelingThru222 hell yeah
I definitely need to ride that trail. Beautiful country
You should!

I found that cross country gloves worked well for me! .... only because I already owned a pair for XC :)
Great video. That is such a nice trail! Hope to make it back this year one more time.
Me too, bud…like Saturday.
Wind resistant mittens have always been the warmest for me, or cross country ski gloves, if you don't like mittens
I’m on the search, I’ll look into the ski gloves, thanks.

Ha, that’s funny. Hope to see you out there this weekend.
“I’m just gonna keep riding. How’s that sound?” Pretty much the theme of this channel. Incredible. Love it!!
Glad you enjoy it!
Homie had a great ride. 👍🏻
You got that right!
I figured after knocking out a 2 and a half century that a century would be your daily fare now. You be crushin dem miles bro...🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️
Yeah, buddy. Centuries have become pretty common, 50 milers are just a ride around the block. Pretty sweet pushin hella miles.
Great vid, complete solitude the whole way. Nice trail, thanx.
Not to many folks out on the trail, just the way I like it.
Rode many times Cedar run inn nice place to stay. Rattlesnake in spring never bears or dods
I would love to ride the Pine Creek Rail Trail but maybe not in a rain. Great trail 👍
You should!
Great footage... such nice trails there in PA

Lol, you tipped it. I'm not a spoiler though...🤣
Pretty much, I’ll have a spot tracker and you can watch me as I ride. Should be announcing the race soonish.

Anything Outdoor Research or I really like the glove brand Youngstown.
I use them for work and fatbiking and both are great
Youngstown, check.
I wonder how many people get the "homie don't play that" reference lol

Sounds like my kinda trophy, strictly fat bikes, or do you think The Epic could hack it?
