- On August 12, Blessed Victoria Díez de Molina is remembered all over the world for her testimony of faith in the face of persecution. She was not a martyr of the early era but of the present, in the middle of the 20th century. An example of fortitude for the current difficult times, when so may Christians are being persecuted.

Death does not separate those in Christ His body, the body of Christ. The prayers of the Triumphant church in heaven are effective before the throne of God because they are one in unity with the Holy Spirit and will not ask anything outside of the Will of God. What else would they be doing in heaven other than praying for us as Jesus God’s only begotten Son ever intercedes on our behalf according to the Bible. In Revelation "And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints".
Out of the 59 times the term "saints" is used in the New Testament, only once does it refer to Christians in heaven(Col1:12). All the other times, 13 of which are found in the book of Revelation, it’s used to refer to Christians on earth. Christians on earth are included among the “saints” mentioned in Revelation 5:8.
Scripture directly associates the prayers of the faithful on earth with "incense". The Psalmist writes, “Let my prayer be counted as incense before thee, and the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice!” (Psalm 141:2).

Just read the scripture you stated and I am not sure what you mean. It just says saint's and doesn't say Heaven or earth. Also we are not supposed to speak to the dead or pray to dead saints because that is considered witchcraft.
@@stevnreed7763 They are not dead but alive in glory with Christ! We do not pray to them, but ask for their intercession before the Throne of Grace before the Throne of the Most High God! We are all one body. Death does not separate us. We are the Militant church because we are at war with the devil. They are the glorified church who have inherited heaven. This is what the glorified saints in heaven do! They pray for us! We are one family, one body through Christ Jesus.

I'm Spanish, my Teresian school was name Victoria Diez and i learned her history when I was a child, I'm glad to hear all this Spanish martyr's histories in this channel because sometimes in Spain they aren't known, is a pity. During the Spanish civil war thousands of catholics were killed, frecuently in very cruel ways. Thank you. Much of the Spanish Civil War is untaught in US schools and what is taught is purposely vague and confusing. I believe it's because the "educators" don't want to tell the truth about martyrs like Blessed Victoria Diaz and about the Franco Era. If you are honest, why not mention the church of Rome sanctioned MASS MURDER of the Jews in Spain and Portugal ; instigated by the popes in pagan Rome. How the Jews were BRUTALLY tortured, murdred and had ALLTHEIR WEALTH stolen and divided among the chief priests, Rome, King Ferdinand and Queen, Isabella. My father was from Seville, Spain and he also lived through the Spanish Civil War. What he experienced through that war profoundly affected him and consequently affected me as well. I am Catholic, though possibly not a good one. I only hope that if I'm ever in a similar situation as Victoria, I have the faith and strength of will to respond in a similar manner.

Though death was imminent, the holy martyrs had peace, and that's because they had ceased to exist. A person who lives only for Jesus Christ awaits death in anticipation of being finally brought back HOME.
To live this way in this extremely chaotic world is a massive feat, but perhaps, we are one decision away from truly experiencing Heaven on earth. I pray we all arrive at this stage - where we practice Holy Indifference every single day, growing in holiness and focusing on bringing souls back to the Kingdom through the graces God bestows through us. Thank you, Jerome, for being a blessing to the world!

I'm a non denominational Christian in America. I have had friends of all denominations, and other faiths. We agree on so much! It is terrible such minor things lead to such violence. I hope we can work to end such things in the future. God's blessings and love is for ALL who love him!

I had no idea about the persecution of Catholics during the Spanish Civil War. I always heard about the French Revolution but what happened in Spain is not widely taught in the US. This video sure puts things in perspective - I'm going to stop feeling despondent about our current state of affairs and use Blessed Victoria Diez as inspiration!
