It doesn't matter if you are virginal, pure, untouched, forget all that...some filthy man will spoil you...and have a laugh with his gang. Your purity means nothing to him. The very thing you keep sacred is just a barrier to his cruelty, disrespect and violence. Hand your head in shame you men.
The Christian Brothers (Brothers Grim) were responsible for sending young orphans to unknown people in English speaking countries like Australia and Canada. They weren’t alone. The same happened in England, up to & including the 1960’s with the connivance of UK governments.
Never before has there been such a ubiquitous and long lasting organization. When some over here screw up you can't blame the ENTIRE church! That's ludicrous
Imagine taking the time to write a report stating that a child in your orphanage was both emaciated AND had a voracious appetite instead of just feeding the child more! Neglect. Cruel neglect.
And the order was being PAID by the Irish nation! The funds were not being taken from "holy, mother church" but the latter shamelessly took the money to its own nefarious uses: new vestments, church buildings, priests' pensions, contributions to Peter's Pence? The Catholic Church has NO moral authority any longer and I left it over 36 years ago.
The treatment of women breaks my heart. How many of these women have these children with no consent of their own, if you know what I mean. And yet the men continue on with their favored stature of honorable men and the women shamed. It’s disgraceful. And these nuns should be named even if they are no longer alive.
The "shame" falls on the women & their children. Such a tragedy! It takes an egg & a sperm to make a baby. Why aren't the men punished??? Does NOT make sense!
@@pamelaperkins2507 Does not make sense. The mistreatment of women has been going on for years and years and years, but times are changing and men do not like it. My heart breaks for these women and the children.
I am someone who was placed with the Convent of the Good Shepherd for 8 months at the age of 15yrs old. I am now 66yrs old but those experiences still live with me.
I was placed with these nuns because I ran from a children's home. There were boys in our runaway group so we were all suspected of " shenanigans". I was sent to the nuns in case I would produce a baby. I had not been touched. So eight months of being locked up. I made several attempts to run away...usually successfully. When caught, I was brought back and locked in a cell...steel door, constant night light and a bucket in the corner. It was for 24hrs..maybe that was the law for 15yr olds...but I had a few spells in the cells. This place still had the Laundries.
Actually, the people really responsible were those who created a society where people were demonised. It's no different really than the people who looked the other way when jews were demonised in Hitler's Germany and in many countries besides. Absolutely true that fathers should be there for the upbringing of children they've created - that's morally right - but none of these people were criminals. They were just human. It's the cruel system, promoted by religious " fascists " and swallowed up by a brainwashed society that are to blame for how these mothers were treated and the evil EVIL treatment meted out to children who were as innocent as any child is. To think that a government of a country which had fought for its independence not that long before ( and loved to sing songs of how they fought against cruelty ) should uphold this evil and a church - supposedly there to lead people to God - would set the stage for what was at the back of it is just ghastly. I wonder what Jesus would say about it all. I hope that the truth these surviving people are asking for does come to light in their lifetimes. God bless all those affected and forgive all those responsible.

The inversion of the teachings of the church.. Took our ancestral knowledge, our way of living and oppressed and brutalised us..Little kindness from them.. Cruel judgement from cruel people hiding behind a habit 🙏
Yes. And taking over childbirth and family/community with such heinous beliefs. In past times, families/communities rallied around their women and children. Childbirth happened at home and people had control of their lives and babies in a certain sense. Why did doctors and the Catholic Church want to take control of childbirth and pregnant women. Yes medicine is better now but the autonomy is gone.
I would imagine that was the situation of many of the young women who fell pregnant then. It's horrible that you were treated like you did something wrong. That's such horrible abuse. I was sexually assaulted in college in the 1980's. Even then I only told one person, someone I could trust. It was so common for the police to question whether or not it was actually rape. Fortunately, I didn't get pregnant, but I had a friend who did. Guys who did that knew they could get away with it. If someone did report it, they'd be asked if they "were sure they didn't actually want it." It was disgusting. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
Thank-you to Catherine Corless for your good work. Deep condolences to everyone who was bereaved of their child or sibling, or deprived of their mother.
Where I come from, our head of church is more of a politician than a shepherd.of God. I lost faith in the church, but I still believe in God with all my heart and I pray a lot too.
I lived in a convent from age 8 - 11 yrs. Some of the nuns were violent. I remember seeing a boy in the freezing cold with short trousers being thrashed on the thighs with a cane just out of the blue. Another one we had to watch being leathered by a heavy strap on his back for running away. They taught us about Mary, the saints, the rosary, communion but hardly nothing about Christ and certainly no scripture. I was given a scapula and was told if I wore it all my life I would go to heaven. I didn't know Jesus then. It was just religion religion relgion and superstition. Fortunately I came to Christ at aged 27 yrs and I was saved from the fear of Catholicism. Jesus is wonderful and has healed me from my childhood. I thank God for my life now and know that I belong to Him.
Just 3 years? Well I went to Catholic school too, for 10 years and never saw any of what you say you did. Got the best education ever. I *don't* believe you never learned about Jesus. That was the first thing I learned in grade 1. Did you not learn any cathechism either? We were also taught self discipline and to read and write in 2 languages. You needed 60% to pass. Then went to public school to grade 13 where you only needed 50% to pass. And they sure as hell never even prayed or talked about Jesus there.
That letter from The Communications Clinic chair of the Sisters of Bon Secours organization really tells of the current attitude of that organization. What a snarky gas-lit response. I am in my 60s. I just lost my mama in January. She knew me my whole life, and I had known her my whole life-up to that sad day. I cannot imagine not knowing my mama for all that time. This is so sad. The consequences of mother-child separation are far reaching. Keep fighting.
Shame, shame shame. No one would help these women. Not their family, not their neighbors, not the government. The only place available to them was this evil church. Victoms of an ignorant, brutal , merciless people. The shame is not on the mothers or children it is on Ireland and the church both of whom get off scot free
Très intéressant mais si triste documentaire de France Télévisions. Merci à Catherine Corless pour son opiniâtreté, ce qu'elle fait est admirable. Dieu bénisse tous ces enfants et leurs Mamans. ❤🇨🇵
You mean the human race has always had problems concerning abuse. Christians do not sin more than other people--they just feel worse about it--but they have the opportunity to go to confession and be absolved. The only thing that gives you tools to sin less is the Christian faith.
Protože v církvi je hodně homosexuálů a pedofilů. Je tam celibát a oni si myslí, že na ně nepřijdou, že se tam schovají. Je to odporné, věřící se musí za takovou církev stydět.
My Daughter 21 weeks gave birth to Twin Boys, they were still born. Even though they were in heaven, I had them baptized. They were given names Aiden and Braiden, had a service. God Bless! Now 12 years later she has 2 Daughters 8 and 3yr.old She is high risk! I Thank God every day for them!❤
I don't understand what this comment has to do with how women were raped and blamed for it, and imprisoned to "pay" for their "crime." Children were taken and sold to America by the church, resulting in psychological trauma. I feel for your daughter but I don't understand what it has to do with this. Enlighten me.
Way to make it about you, Livingston. This is a story about the hideous treatment of girls who were raped and the treatment of their poor children. Do try to stay on track.
This is truly heartbreaking. Imagine being a teenager, going into labor surrounded by nuns who offered nothing but judgment and apathy. The trauma of that experience, compounded by the forced separation from your newborn, is unimaginable.
that is exactly what I think over and over......singles mothers are punished, but single fathers - or married fathers who abuse young girls never will face that same way then the unmarried mothers do
Nuns are some of the most evil minded and sociopathic women that are on this earth breathing the same air as us. When they leave convents they are like tigers out of a cage, alcoholism, drug abuse and addiction, they become sexually active worse than prostitutes get sexually diseases spread them such as Hepatitis C, gonorreah, syphalis and so on. They destroyed other people in the church and out of the church. This subject has happened to someone in our family and she was an ex nun called a bride of Christ, this person’s life was completely destroyed, yes you can say it takes two to tango, in this case she knew about her sexual disease and didn’t care who she destroyed. I did have a chance to ask her why would you do this to another human being her answer to me was I missed out a lot when I did time in the convent, it’s my life and I will do what pleases me. I told anyone who sleeps with the devil will burn in hell. I cannot write the words down to what I said to her. Every time I see articles like this What thousands of years created this church to become. The innocent and persons who cannot have a voice in this church never had a leg to stand on. The devil lives off the hog here always has.
After being a Catholic all my life, I finally left and changed to just being a regular christian for the sake of the family I am creating. Best decision I've ever made
Same here, you can always have the relationship without going to a church. But the problem is now lots of our ‘ churches ‘ are being taken over for Mosques.
I am catholic and early in life read about some horrific things about the religion I was raised.. I want to say that it makes me think the way I saw later religious people in general. This includes muslim and jewish as well they all have a set of individuals that are so evilished that makes you want to puke. It brakes my heart to see that most of the prominent figures of each of this religions have skeletons on their history bringing me to conclude again that there is nothing better to love God thru you re heart an not some freaking human being who claims to be some Gods rep to guide you. Shame on all those leaders that caused pain in the human race, period.
I grew up with nuns n I saw so many things. When I left the church I confronted a priest. Made very clear to them that they were the worst sinners. The nuns were very cruel. I have never believed in the Catholic Church.
Growing up Catholic ..goin to Catholic schools, i thought i already knew too much. To see these kinds of documentaries are no surprise but still shocking. Im glad these souls are being brought forth in our minds and hearts, to never be forgotten. Heart breaking stories!
they started the Spanish Inquisition, they never said a word during the Holocaust, they committed horrible crimes against the Indigenous children of North America during the Residential School era.
I'm shocked ! I've always identified with the Irish people, even if I'm from Eastern Europe, but the silence and indifference of the authorities in Ireland really pissed me off!!! how, how to treat such atrocities with such indifference??? hundreds of children can say killed, and by whom??? by the church! that organization that preaches mercy, love and help to the poor. I only hope that the Divinity will punish them if the civil authorities look at these crimes with such indifference. Shame Ireland, shame!
Agreed! And what about the nuns who lied, sinned, who did these horrible crimes in secret; essentially murdered these babies/children .. they are no doubt gone now, passed away, and will never take accountability or be held responsible for what they did to these beautiful little children. All of these babies are safe now in the arms of Jesus, but I shutter to think where the nuns have gone. Maybe some have repented of their sins, asked the Lord for forgiveness .. only God knows, and He is our Judge. My heart goes out to all the Moms who lost their precious babies. Shame on the authorities in Ireland who did nothing to bring justice for all the little ones gone too soon at the hand of these monsters who used the Name of God to do their disgusting, evil deeds. 🙏💜

Trouble is, they have this indifferent attitude unwilling to do anything else but leave well alone and hope all forget, those nuns and authorities were ,are ,have been throughout Time, worshipped Lucifer nameing Lucifer as father of jesus, even in vaticn, those babies would not be missed, were sacrificed, exhumation of the site, would prove this and if that church helped the poor, why then is vatican dripping in gold holding wealth beyond measure while pitched outside vatican, in tents starving, while little boys and girls are rapped by their priests, antichristos, blasphemers, idolatrous, fornicators, satanic pope already Admitted it, still nothing done, because the authortes are still SATANISTS , behind closed doors, in the dark, secret hidden society,
I believe every child is created through fertilization by sperm of ovum (with or without medical assistance) and no child should be made to feel shame because of their existence. None of us asked to be created or born.
Ya know first and foremost, no woman should be treated like trash. This is why abortion should be legal. Every baby is created by an egg and sperm making contact.
@@ixchelsmith3025 Of course no woman should be treated like trash..but neither should and unborn baby. AGAIN GOD creates the baby ...body and soul. That body and soul is created for. a purpose and destiny..that only GOD knows. GOD created man and woman..it is sheer audacity to think that man and woman CREATES a human being...without the POWER of GOD. Think carefully..because those that condone and have abortions..will face GOD one day...and answer to HIM.

Maybe "God" wanted "his" "loving" Servants the nuns, the "brides" of "Christ" to take care of the pregnant women, help them give birth, help THEM Become mothers instead of ripping their babies out, taking them away and then selling them to "good catholic families " Do you really think your "God" Is that cruel? There's not two sides to A baby mill.
Heartbreaking. Huge credit and thanks to those who have worked so hard to bring this to light. Above all else I would say Dev bears a great deal of blame for this situation arising. The Church was given too great a role in the new state formed a century ago. Dev spent his time fulminating against the Treaty and obsessing on rubbish like the Oath. A great pity he did not spend more time enquiring into how the poorest and most vulnerable of his people were living.
The best way it's paying is by losing following, tbh. There's nothing that can be done to amend the damage done to the mothers and children who went through this.
They are very odd. More like a paraphrase. It’s doing weird things to my brain. I thought they were subtitles already embedded in the video, but they seem to be close captioned. Thankfully I turned them off.
Jane Gormley was the name of one baby girl in the mass grave. My name at birth was Jane Gormley. My grandfather was born in County Tyrone, Ireland. That little one could have been a distant relative of mine. So heartbreaking. The Holy Roman Catholic Church has much to atone for, in many many countries in the world.
Such a beautiful plaque... Touching...truthful and factual... A fitting testament for a most tragic tale... The hands not quite touching... What appears to be a gap is indeed a void... The suffering within such an empty space is heart wrenching... 🇿🇦
Absolutely nothing, the files were probably thrown into a filing cabinet or burnt , The priests were dirty ole men and the nuns were vicious bullies and murders, I personally think they should be named and shamed
Oh my God . 😢 so shocking . incomprehensible so incomprehensible and painful that I can't express it 😢👃 so heartless. 🤬 with God's blessing to all children. greetings from Belgium
No matter one's beliefs, children are totally innocent no matter what. You can't be Christ Like & condemn a child, the two don't mix. This is akin to Georgia Tann's cruelties, in TN, of which she was cruel...."Stolen Babies", around mid last century. My cousin was one of those stolen babies......my late abused brother & I were in the Catholic run orphanage in Ft Wayne, IN. Too many 'foster care' really don't care 💔.....

The majority of nuns in Ireland were frustrated spinsters forced to go in to servitude by their families. There was not an ounce of human kindness in them and they took their bitterness and frustrations out on those who they deemed to be sinful. My Granny lived in Schull as a child and recalls having to sneak out letters for the young nuns as Mother Superior would read everything. She also recalls the harsh punishment she and her classmates received for the tiniest of infractions.
Some of the nuns might have chosen not to be mothers or wives themselves because they had no temperament for that life. My aunts were abused in boarding schools in Australia. The nuns had one thing in common. They hated children.
Was brought to a catholic kindergarten (until I ran away). No abuse but I always asked myself why they chose a nun that hated kids for that job. Guess a lack of alternatives.
It is terrible to tear young babies from their mothers arms I think you lost your sole through it, the longing will be like cancer they could have look after the mother as well as the baby and raise them together, but there are too many other people who like to make rules and ruin other peoples lives through it.
This happened in every country where Catholics ran schools. In Canada the rcs operated residential schools. It has been reported that 8000 kids have died in these schools and that old fossil in rome refuses to apologize for thecrimes they have commited.

And let's not forget one thing! who are those people who created those crimes, those pains??? aren't all the women nuns from that institution? I, as a man, cannot conceive those crimes, how could some beings who can be mothers conceive them then? Too bad! May God be with us all and protect us from such things in the future
I also had a child out of wedlock at the age of 18 then had another at 20 to the same father no way would I give them up for adoption. These poor girls were robbed of there babies 👶 😢😢😢

In Italy also found near a convent , buried babies, but not so many. 😮 Suspecting were babies of nuns pregnant by priest (Sorry for my bad English, hope understable)
And the Church even flew to other countries to “rescue” pregnant girls and women and bring them back to Ireland for punishment! How disgusting and completely uncalled for.
And the one in this documentary was 18. I don’t know what the year of majority was in the early 1970s, so maybe legally she was underage. Doesn’t change things though.
They did not, that was total lies, also tuam was a lie, it was said to turn people against the church in order to bring in ab@rtion to ireland bynthe irish government and it worked. No evidence at all in tuam, check out proper historians on this please!
My mum was Irish from co. Wexford. When she was young she worked in Hatch ST. Nursing Home in Dublin in the mid 50s. Single mother's would come and have their babies and give them up for adoption. She said it was very hard emotionally seeing how distressed the mum's were, giving up their babies. And then they'd leave to carry on their lives.
What a horror and tragedy. All for the sake of so called morality. The taking and selling of children and the money made by taking one yourself. What shame, what grief these little ones endured. If surviving an infancy without their mothers milk and the special one on one care she'd have given them. Only to face years in an institutional setting of unloving care and brutality by the tired nuns. What calling is this? What scripture was referenced? To justify the stealing of a child born out of wedlock or the shaming of them? Was Jesus taken from Mary or shamed for her unmarried pregnancy? What was put away back then that Joseph considered, then was faced with an Angel himself? And what of these little ones of His, our Father in Heaven, are not these little ones His as well?
Je souhaite de tout cœur que vous puissiez mettre la stèle pour tous les enfants qui sont là. Je prie pour vous et tout ces petits et vous souhaite du courage pour la suite ❤
There is a Jack Taylor episode that deals with this subject in the show his mother was in one of these places. I don't remember if his mom was pregnant or there for some other reason? The episode is good worth watching!
I was baptized within hours of my birth by my father. He wanted to take no chances even though infant mortality in the US circa 1979 was negligible. It wqs done officially later as is the custom.
My father always said, no child of mine will be baptized Catholic. God doesn’t want 10 percent of a fathers income when he is struggling to feed his children. 🤷♀️
Well in order to be saved one must be baptised into the Catholic faith and by the way tuam was a total lie, there is no evidence! All the babies were buried properly. It was used against the Catholic Church to bring in ab@rtion into ireland and it worked.
I've never known any Catholics who give 10%. It would certainly be far too much to expect, especially from people who are not well off who are trying hard to rear a big family.
Thank goodness i was brought up in dirty Britain! I'm married to an irishman and have seen firsthand how the irish were brainwashed by the church, my mil is still very under its spell. Believe in what you want but don't inflict misery on others whilst doing it! Before i knew about this place, id always get a feeling of dread, driving through tuam to get to galway city, now i know why. Rest in peace and if you're a surviour of this hell on earth, it wasnt your fault and you are worth love and a happy life.
Sadly this is not the only institution that committed such crimes. Convents of Nuns, sadly did the exact same to their unwanted bebe's 😢. Peace be with us all 🙏. "Isa"
The Mother & Baby Home in Tuam isn't the only convent that hides mass graves.... The Irish government PAID the convents for "looking after" the poor female prisoners & their children. When a "good Roman Catholic couple" were found, usually in America & boy they were charged heavy amounts for a child! The laundry of "The Good Shepherd, Waterside, Derry, was a horrible prison. My Uncle saw a woman, obviously near the time of her delivery, along with others on their knees, cutting the huge lawns with....small scissors. The supervising nuns beat them with "Cats O Nine Tails" (whips with many leather straps which were embedded with iron studs) if they didn't think they were working hard enough.... He got in immediately, knocked on the door & was refused entrance to speak to the mother superior I refuse to capitalise her so-called title). He told her that, if she didn't stop this cruelty immediately, he'd speak to reporters in "The Derry Journal" about it! That changed her tune... I also was boarded in a Dominican convent, at the top of Lime ST., Liverpool (England) for a month, while I attended the hospital there. I befriended 2 nuns. One had dementia & the other told me she was miserable there but couldn't get out. The latter was sent, permanently to the "Mother House" for the Dominican order, as she also wanted to be allowed to read the bible. The latter, older nun & I strolled around the ground at sunset every night together. One day she stopped in a corner of the vast gardens which I always steered her away from as being there troubled her so much. In a brief instance of lucidity, she whispered to me that "This is where we buried the babies &, God help them, they were innocents...". So the Roman Catholis church not only covers for paedophiles but also the victims of cruelty.
Life is so damn hard. I just do not understand why society creates these extra hoops and standards that are not necessary, but which just burden and potentially destroy lives already struggling.
There will always be those who choose the abuse of power, in place of compassion and God's love, in a number of cases many of the nuns and priests were put there as part of the idea that every family had to give over either a son or daughter to the so-called church, in order to find favour with the authorities of the 'Church ', whether those children wanted to or not. Many were forced or yet again, there's shame on the family, causing such bitterness all round.

This is our political class. A bunch of total cowards. . Still to this day... . Thank you Catherine. There's a special place for you in heaven, along with all those children. .
As a first generation born of irish parents ( galway) in 1960s uk. This monsterous story unfolded after the film philomena, to say utter shock at reading so many testimonies on the internet. I so admire Cathrine Corless for her painstaking research. I also would like to send love, light, and sincere wishes of peace and healing, to all that suffered under the system of that era. As for those who have ascended may they rest in peace.
Not ignorance! Indoctrination, brainwashing from the most powerful, brutal organisation in the country. To oppose them would be to pout your 'soul in mortal danger', a absolute load of bollocks, but fear means control, covid taught the whole world about that!
I left Catholicism behind in 1965. I was only 15 but threw off the shackles of that organisation as soon as I could. Shame is the Catholic tool of control.
The importance of family life SHOWING the state of the state. Now the stories are being uncovered to care. Which makes a beautiful ending to a bad history. What amazing people who are uncovering that Shame of the past and may it never happen again.
My mom , who I don't know as a person. The last time I saw her she said she was sick but better now. She lived by Catholic rule. She never aborted, well as far as I know. She would get pregnant but left a child at the hospital. Lost my brother to her mother for neglect, I came even though she tried to kill her children. I had a twin that died but I came early with her and spent time in the hospital until I was healthy enough to leave. A few months . Born early with pneumonia. I don't tell this for sadness just another story . My mom tried to off me after I came home. She started a fire and left . But I can not tell you how many times in my early childhood people would just show up for no reason and rescue me. She did not marry my father so the church would not baptise me but my parents... one or both found a priest that did. I tell this because of what a stronghold the church had on my drunken parents. And its always been a weird mix of thinking. I think the call it cognitive dissonance. I was with my mon until I was 7 often left alone, hungry and abuse of sorts. But I went tp parochial school and when the system got me I could not go to any family but a Catholic family. This meant an aunt who wanted me to live with her was not able to take me in , I ended up in abusive foster homes and was not welcome there . I was extra income. The church played a big role and the shame was my ground..shame and quilt. While I have faith in Christ and guidance I really was disappointed by the church and left in my heart. I recall the emphasis of being a virgin. Of my lack for worth is I was not so since I could walk I was condemned after being abused. At 7 I felt like a worthless sinner, condemned for life. The church has done so much harm to the world. I did meet very nice nuns and feared some of the priests and nuns . . all in USA by the way.
When pregnant love and support are needed. These poor women and their children. God bless them.

Such the exact opposite of all that Jesus taught. I'm 74 years old and I've been done with "The Church" for decades!!!

Sad the men that got those poor girls pregnant were never punished
Males seduce, have their way and then disappear like mice when a light comes on, leaving evidence of the damage they do.
Patriarchy puts all responsibility on women pretty much. The old 'virgin/whore' syndrome, still alive in many parts of the world.
I would have thought the idea should be *not punishing* 🤔

The Tuam claims are largely false seeking to attack the Catholic Church. The mass grave is a false claim -- just like the false claims relating to mass graves in Canada at residential schools. The sisters cared for the young women and children who were shunned by their families and in too many cases the young women were victims of incest or other abuse. A historian researched the archival records relating to this facility and the inspectors who conducted unannounced inspections found the facilities well run, clean and with the young women well cared for and in good spirits. Watch the interview by Gemma O'Doherty (an award winning Irish investigative journalist) of this historian who sets the record straight.

Yes. And taking over childbirth and family/community with such heinous beliefs. In past times, families/communities rallied around their women and children. Childbirth happened at home and people had control of their lives and babies in a certain sense. Why did doctors and the Catholic Church want to take control of childbirth and pregnant women.

I am pretty sure there are a lot of places like this on the surface of the planet unfortunately, this is scarie really and so shameful

In Italy also found near a convent , buried babies, but not so many. 😮 Suspecting were babies of nuns pregnant by priest
(Sorry for my bad English, hope understable)
The 2002 film, 'The Magdalene Sisters', depicted the suffering of those women who worked in the laundries. Worth to watch.
And the Church even flew to other countries to “rescue” pregnant girls and women and bring them back to Ireland for punishment! How disgusting and completely uncalled for.
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤬
And the one in this documentary was 18. I don’t know what the year of majority was in the early 1970s, so maybe legally she was underage.
Doesn’t change things though.
They did not, that was total lies, also tuam was a lie, it was said to turn people against the church in order to bring in ab@rtion to ireland bynthe irish government and it worked. No evidence at all in tuam, check out proper historians on this please!
Que pena siento por esos niños y madres.😢😢❤
One thing that amazes me,all the women who went through that hell, and they seem so strong. I suppose you'd have to be tough to make it out alive.
The tuam story was a total lie! No evidence exists.
And then they'd leave to carry on their lives.
le film "philomena" tiré de l'histoire vrai d'une mère à la recherche de son fils. Magnifique .
My mother worked in them magdaline laundries I was adopted and met her when I was in my 20ts. Her life was awfull in care of the nuns
I believe the Nuns were miserable, unhappy, frustrated women.
These “Laundries” were all over Ireland, so there must be thousands of babies buried like this. Why is only Tuam talked about?
I don't think this place was a magdeline laundry
The Tuam story speaks volumes for all the institutions.
This is just an example. If they reported on every site where this occurred, video would have been thousands of hours long!
Because other 'denominations' would be exposed.
All of this was government sanctioned and supported.
Without the gov, it couldn't have been done.
Tuam was a lie, no evidence at all! Listen to proper historians about tuam etc.,
Je souhaite de tout cœur que vous puissiez mettre la stèle pour tous les enfants qui sont là. Je prie pour vous et tout ces petits et vous souhaite du courage pour la suite ❤
a very upsetting story, but thanks for sharing it all the same. a story that needs to be told.
There is a Jack Taylor episode that deals with this subject in the show his mother was in one of these places. I don't remember if his mom was pregnant or there for some other reason? The episode is good worth watching!
Thanks Mr. Musk from Brazil
Brazil have opened an investigation into Musk.
Thank you President Lula.
Such a lunatic!
bravo à tous ces gens qui ont permis de découvrir toutes ces horreurs !
The worst thing is that the church elders covered and still cover these cruel things that happened and perhaps still happening.
Thank you all ways remember What is hidden will come to Light God Bless you .
I was baptized within hours of my birth by my father. He wanted to take no chances even though infant mortality in the US circa 1979 was negligible.
It wqs done officially later as is the custom.
I am not baptised and thank my parents so much for that. I want no connection whatsoever the cancerous evil that is religion.
Acts 2 verse 38... repent and be baptized
My father always said, no child of mine will be baptized Catholic. God doesn’t want 10 percent of a fathers income when he is struggling to feed his children. 🤷♀️
That's the mormon way.
Reminds me of the sadistic nuns I dealt with in Catholic school as a child. They wielded their rulers with great anger and for the least problem.
I had wonderful nuns teaching me, by the way tuam is a lie, no evidence at all, check out proper historians for the truth
"Isa"
Lies, tuam was a total lie, no evidence at all!
Not just in Ireland, but on every continent. Reparations?

When do we ever learn from the past? Money is the only think big biz, big gov, and big institutions learn anything from.
@@eddieram435we haven’t learned shit lol.
What a dumb comment, will that change anything?Water under the bridge.whats done is over.

que tous ces enfants reposent en PAIX
Thankyou Catherine...😢xox❤
Life is so damn hard. I just do not understand why society creates these extra hoops and standards that are not necessary, but which just burden and potentially destroy lives already struggling.
There will always be those who choose the abuse of power, in place of compassion and God's love, in a number of cases many of the nuns and priests were put there as part of the idea that every family had to give over either a son or daughter to the so-called church, in order to find favour with the authorities of the 'Church ', whether those children wanted to or not. Many were forced or yet again, there's shame on the family, causing such bitterness all round.
Religion is all about power, misogyny, sex, paedophilia and money. Cults!

I was just thinking about Philomena. Such a sad story
Sad story but whoever did the subtitles for this was not true to the words of the speakers

Heart brealking. All because of sheer ignorance. I hope these people find peace for their hearts.
ignorance? nah. Fanatisism and misogyny.
Children are made from an act of love. Love. Pure love. Religion steams from everything but love. Horrible dark nights Horrible. Shame shame
Really Sad.
Heart breaking.
I feel your pain. Stay strong. Its not your fault, be aware off that....always!
