    Fantastic video again Shawn. I didn’t know the kit pieces could be rearranged on the grid editor. Note to Toontrack: Don’t wait for Metal Month to hire Shawn because he is the GURU of all things Toontrack!

    Excellent tutorial on a subject that I never paid enough care and attention to. I never consciously applied the purpose of fills for guiding the listener to the transition... Raise the energy or lower it. Thanks!

    You're a natural Shawn. Really enjoy your videos. Would you ever consider doing a video on using a MIDI controller with EZDrummer to bash out drum parts for a song? Your videos on using EZDrummer's inbuilt songwriting capabilities are fantastic, but I'm one of those people that sometimes bashes out drum parts on a MIDI keyboard directly into my DAW. Do you ever use EZDrummer that way? For example, how would you go about doing a cover version of a song that has a very specific drum track and you want it to be true to the original as note perfect as you can get it? So you wouldn't be using EZDrummer as a songwriting tool but more of a tool to actually copy a drum track if you were doing a cover version. Thanks again!

    Sometimes you're teaching things you probably don't know you're teaching... For example, in this case I was wondering how you were getting that "Jump to Time" window, found it ctrl j in Reaper, very useful.

      @ShootieSchool  Рік тому +1

      Frank thanks so much for your support in the past. I lay my markers out on the downbeat of each section, so if I need preroll, it’s a fast option to get it! I was just double clicking the time display, so I learned from you in this one. Thank you!

    So it appears when you insert or just plainly add a fill to the end of a section, it's shortening that section to exact time of the fill which is great , for obvious reasons of not changing the length of the song or arrangement, do you have to set it up in some way or is that just the it automatically works ?

    • @ShootieSchool
      @ShootieSchool  Рік тому

      That is the default behavior. Just drag and drop.

    I've got Adobe Audition CC that I use as my DAW. I'm having an awful time trying to get the ED3 plugin working. I go into the AA prefs and point AA to the plugin folder, then run the scan and nothing populates. What am I doing wrong?

      Oh wow! Thanks for replying! Yes, I have read that page many times. All my music buddies are telling me to ditch Audition saying that it's too proprietary. I'm thinking about trying Presonus Studio One. What are your thoughts? Thanks agian!@@ShootieSchool

      @@mosfet74 I recommend anything besides Pro Tools due to their price and support quality. Reaper has a great demo that you can compare Studio One to.

    Anybody wanna program some stuff for me using Logic/Ezdrm. ..........holy smokes.....just had an awakening. You rock. Shawn! I knew some of that drum humanize stuff and obvious drummer impossible riffs but the way you explained it (I think you're a drummer, right?), Its perfection, So now, .....I have Logic Pro and EZdrummer and just beginning to understand. this shit. Thanks. ummm, I suppose I have to watch all your stuff now. So, I'm gonna have to make room watching Shogun and whatever movie I have seen 5 times on Netflix and write more hard stuff or anything for that matter. I'm almost 60yrs old ( I don't surf anymore or skate/snow.....my guitar will be in my coffin)
    Toontrack....yah, I suppose Ive only tapped into it about 1% ,lol. It has a lot of potential and your insight about programming.
    hmmm....well, gonna be busy for awhile watching your vids. Thanks, I will donate shortly.
    I'm so glad someone is looking out for other musician like you. Keep it up!
    Slayer rules, by the way! I play the axe and dabble on drumEZdrummer......Anybody here can program me some stuff. I can send riffs , I use Locifg Pro..lemme know!
