The day my Dad died I drove to our childhood home. I sat outside (different people lived there) and played this on repeat for about an hour. This song saved my life and my sanity. This song sustained my soul while I was in an abusive marriage. I knew I wasn’t alone as long as I listened to this song. ✌️♥️🎶
God bless Diane. I think most of us can relate to the power of music in moments such as these. Your comments reminded me of my own moments where music has pulled me back from the edge and back from despair. This IS one of those pieces that connect. Regards

Urban Dictionary - Led Head A term derived to describe a certain group of people. These people are the die-hard Led Zeppelin fan members. These people know that Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time, and stick with that knowledge almost religiously.
Alright guys.🤘Let’s add The Wanton Song, to round out how special that second disc is. When we were teens when this was released, we wore out sides one and two. All these yrs later the hiding in plain sight treasure turned out to be 3&4. Glad these two are keeping great music alive.
This, right here, is why I watch reaction channels. I've listened to this tune for 40 years and I feel like I just heard this for the first time...thanks fellas
So looking forward to this reaction ! During the intro Jimmy is bowing an acoustic guitar behind the wailing sounds of Jonesy's multiple keyboards. This is the only time Jimmy bowed an acoustic guitar. The main guitar riff when the song kicks in is eerie and evil af sounding. The drums are immaculate and Plant's vocals are a home run out of the park. This song can't be categorized or pigeonholed as a specific genre of music. They were inventing a whole new style of music. They went into this realm again on ITTOD on Carouselambra ! "Well, love - it's pain can devour you, if you are never alone..." The song is a minor key and Jimmy plays the guitar solos in a major key.
That is not a bow on an acoustic guitar. Rather, Jimmy attached a device called a Gizmotron to his guitar. It was invented by Godley & Crème, formerly of 10cc.
@@markdrechsler5660 Not correct - nice try. Jimmy didn't use that until the intro of In the Evening. Jimmy is bowing an acoustic guitar in the intro and the keyboard break in the middle. Go look for an argument somewhere else.
This song had several working titles, most notably "Everybody Makes It Through" but also "In The Morning" and "Take Me Home". As someone else mentioned, Jimmy added multi-tracked bowed acoustic guitar to the opening while Jonesy used a VCS synth. According to Jimmy, they always knew what the construction of song would be, however he had no idea Jonesy would craft such an amazing synthesizer intro. The beginning sounds almost like a call to prayer in the square of a far-off, ancient land as the synth notes snake in one ear and out the other to eerie effect. Then they lower the boom and it grinds into a gritty, slightly menacing groove from the depths of an almost sinister "somewhere". When the guitar comes in, it's almost like it gives the feeling of ascension; I definitely get the feeling of being lifted up out of the darkness and into the light. Zeppelin was never afraid to go to unexpected places.
i just want to know your background to know all this much about the band & their songs at this point, i would believe you even if you're lying 😅 thanks for the insights though
First time I heard this song and album, I was 14 years old, and this song absolutely shook my bones to the core. Could not believe how creative and amazing it sounded. Spine tingling.

Welcome to the brother (and sister)hood of Led Heads my friends --so glad to have you with us. Timeless music that never gets old and always takes you on a journey, with unexpected twists along the way. Still nothing like their music, fifty years later. Great fun riding with you on this voyage of exploration.
The cascading guitar effects at 9:52 and 10:08 is simply out of this world. If guitar chords could cleanse your soul, that's what it would sound like. My favorite Zep track ever, Ten years Gone, is coming up soon!
LoL! Well I will then say after this morning's coffee I made some masterpiece noises on my toilet ... Rain Song, Achilles Last Stand, Black Dog and 40 more masterpieces by Led Zeppelin. This ain't one of those.
This is an absolute masterpiece by the Zeppelin machine. I really love that you guys are listening to classic rock music. It’s fabulous that you guys are enjoying the music thank you for what you are doing keep up the great work.
I saw Robert Plant and Alison Krauss in Taos six days ago. Such talent. Sold out show. 8000 people in a small park.If I recall there were three LZ songs, including When the Levee Breaks. All were done in the rockabilly style, expertly played.
He has such a vast range of musical knowledge. Love it! He & Alyson sound so great singing duets👍🏻He said he was into Rockabilly growing up as a teenager.
The musical growth and maturity of this album put them on their own level. Think of the distance between this song and their first album (also great). They are true masters.
It's not always just about playing loud, fast, hard, but masterfull arranements and production, which you have here. All four musicians have their individual and collective times to shine. And you're right about Page, the guitars are masterful.
What a band and What a song. This band did it all. The beginning of prog rock and they didn’t even know it. The best rock band ever. Full stop. JPJ is the secret sauce. Bohnam drives the bus. Jimmy sets the mood. Plant(s) himself right in your soul.
Led Zeppelin a genre unto themselves brilliant tune. Blue Jays use play the Led quite often back in the day when Toronto was a cool city. Nice gentlemen 🙏🍁
JPJ once said the synth intro was a tribute to the song Black Mountain Side. Jimmy also is playing the guitar with a bow to achieve the drones in the intro. Such a great atmosphere.
This is The LP That just kept You On the edge o Yo Seat!!!B-Side's,No Sides& New!!! This was as Awesome as Each song, sound, instinctively different&Blew Our Minds!!
I love watching how much you two appreciate Led Zeppelin. If you haven't already listened to Led Zeppelin III give it a listen. It has rock, blues, and folk all in one album.
It's incredible how diverse these 4 guys were. I spent many days just listening to this great band. Glad to see it still resonates with people today. Thank you gentlemen again🎶🎸🎼✌️
Lol 😂 “ I’m a led head”! This side of the album is so good! Great reaction guys! Love this! This was an amazing song to hear back in the day, on shrooms!
So very well put. No one sounds like Led Zeppelin. And the only band I know that every album sounds different, and every album had hits on every album!
DIE HARD LED ZEPPELIN Fan here and I've been listening to this Lp since it was released! Have watched most of your reaction videos but have NEVER seen you guys react, playing air guitar and air drums like you did to this one! LED ZEPPELIN IMO is BY FAR "THE BEST" rock band of all time! PEACE LOVE LED ZEPPELIN
Physical Graffiti 75 Presence 76 these albums these albums I had bought when released. The mind trips listening to these Albums HIGH everyday, was never a dull moment. I listen now at 62 watching your reactions to Zeppelin, that I had 49 year's ago. I'm enjoying this all over again. Thank You guys 😎👊🏽🤙🏽
From the 4th album on, Jimmy would record 4 or 5 guitar overdubs to get that killer echo, rhythm strums and guitar leads for depth, echos, creativity,, and great soundsof his talented skills on the guitar. This at a time when they only had 8 tracks to use. Unlike today's computer generated vocals and layers. Tube amps, no computers. True gifted artistic talented musicians at their prime. Thanks La and Che!
An overlooked aspect- I feel- of their music is the fact they were students of life, history, love, wisdom, they tried to share universal truths and wisdoms in their own flavor. They were also students of music, even as masters they kept pushing themselves. You can hear it all, a deep respect of life ( yes they were wild) , being alive and their craft, they loved and respected those that came before them
I listen to a lot of different genres, rock, rockabilly, psycobilly, punk, metal, thrash, old school country, old school rap, swing, and horror rock.... Led Zeppelin has moved me like no other in my life. I would skate to Suicidal all day but come home and lay on the floor in front of my speakers an play Zeppelin to get my mind right. I have truly enjoyed being a part of your journey and appreciation of a piece of musical history. Led Zeppelin isn’t just a classic rock band it’s musical therapy for the soul. I found reaction videos a few years back watched a ton...you guys are the best. You hear the timing changes in the drums, the complicated bass lines and keyboards, harmonicas, mandolins, and the one of kind vocals that make Zeppelin unique. Looking forward to listening to your thoughts on other greats like ZZ Top and SRV. Much love.
Hearing you say that you're a "Led Head" now, just gave me goosebumps and a smile from ear to ear. I've been a "Led Head " since the early 70's, LOVE getting the Led Out with y'all 🤟🥰
Double album set back in the day. Most enjoyable. When listening to these it is a must to turn it up.There were many bands heavily influenced buy Zeppelin. Seeing these two on this video enjoying this tells me there may be hope for this country after all.
My favorite thing about Zep's studio albums is that Page created the guitar army for each song, laying multiple lead and rhythm guitar tracks on each song, panned to different locations in the stereo spectrum. Every song sounded like they had anywhere from 2 to 6 guitarists playing competing riffs and solos, but it was all just Jimmy being Jimmy!
Zeppelin has tons of "out of the box" tunes in their catalog, but this one is my favorite. It's just goes in so many different directions and all of them feel and sound fantastic.
Ever every time I hear a Zeppelin song and marvel at how good it is, another layer is revealed and it's just incredible. Their songs could have been half as good and still would generally be a cut above almost everything else out there. Still sounds great all these decades later. Not much music you can say that about.
This is from a time and a space that is long gone. We used to lie in our beds, headphones on, totally dark. And experience these strange vibes. Never played on the radio or even mentioned in the press. It was about freeing your soul and just enjoying wonderful music. The Physical Graffiti album was an alien thing sent from beyond the beyond to us teenagers to lift us up and make us real human beings. We became better persons listening to it. It is fun, it is strange, very strange, it sounds like the orient or far east … hypnotic, even druggy, but always positive. It was like putting all of music history into a blender, blues, rock, pop, classical, avant-garde … singer-songwriter stuff. And this is what you get. The pacing is perfect. We would get up and flip the sides of the two LPs and then lie down again. There is no central theme to it except that everything is allowed, love is supreme … and have a good time. This, the opening of the third side, is perhaps as perfect a combination of songs any band ever assembled. Babies were born out of this. Perhaps I'm just an old dude reminiscing about olden times, but this is my church. And this is what I believe. Hallelujah and thanks for your comments and reaction. Cheers boys🍺
Better late than never to become a Led Head🙂 Now that I got that of the way, I am a little jealous that you get to hear them for the first time as mature adults. You both are able to appreciate it for their abilities to engineer, compose, play, and transcend not only through the ages but your mind as well. I would be curious if you both would tell us (Led Heads) at the end of your journey of Led Zeppelin how many songs you all find that are not worth listening to again. ✌
Back in my younger days, when I used to indulge in the happy smoke, In The Light was one of the best songs to listen to after that last puff. Not that I'm particularly proud of that, but it was perfect for the mood!
No shame in that man, I have been enjoying cannabis for 50+ years and still do to this very day. I am relatively healthy, having a ball and at peace as I am listening to tons of great music in my retirement. Rock On and Enjoy!
Three amazing parts to this epic song. The first is ominous and eerie, the second is sinister and badass, and the third is as uplifting/sweet/beautiful as it gets. I couldn't believe it the first time I actually listened to this album after thinking I knew Zeppelin for years.
Great reaction to this incredible song. Page is Zep, he changed rock music forever with his genius writing, groundbreaking guitar playing and production. He had the vision to put this incredible team behind him and the rest is history. Everyone is on point (as usual) on this one and I particularly love Bonzo’s tasty fills. 👍🏻
Hello, this album is always fresh and never gets old, when this band came out just in the visual aspect alone where the blue print for every rock band from then on , lover boy singer, weird genius guitar player , underrated over talented bass player and an animal drummer . thats before they have played a note of the ground breaking music that slaps so hard it should come with a safe word. All my best to you and yours from Liverpool
Amazing band, but the animal drummer goes to Keith Moon. Don't want to argue so let's say it's a tie for animal drummer. But you aare right about the rest. Get the Led out!!
@@retromom5421 too true the who was out about four years before zep , but I was never a big Who fan , for me mr moon was a bit gimmicky and splintered his kit by kicking it about the stage and bonzo splintered his kit with his sticks. music is art and art is subjective , so i do value your opinion . the world would be a very grey place if we all liked the same things . thanks for the comment . all my best to you and yours
This song is used perfectly at the end sequence of the first season of Mindhunter. Its just a perfect showcase of how images and music can come together and change the meaning of a song
This album I call the result of 4 Genius 's going somewhere with no outside distractions, no time limits or pressure to create pure Magic!!! I love all Led Zeppelin, but this album is just so diverse and put together so well! It's Led Zeppelin.
"I'm a led head!" I need that on a shirt

A total goosebumps song
Two more led heads welcome aboard there is room for everyone
A thousand years from now people will still be listening to and enjoying Led Zeppelin.
That’s god damn right
Spot on, like Mozart or Beethoven, the music maybe centuries old but is still played because it is a form of human art at its highest level!
This album is incredibe - In the Light is the first song on this side. ❤ This side of the album is gonna blow your minds.
It's the best of the best
The whole album is absolutely fabulous!

Enjoy retirement and your happy smoke!😅
Love that little pause and your expression when you said, "La and Che'". They read the comments folks!
"What was that sound!?"...I laughed out loud but in a good way💯
John Paul Jones on the keys...so haunting. RockStars.
Three amazing parts to this epic song. The first is ominous and eerie, the second is sinister and badass, and the third is as uplifting/sweet/beautiful as it gets.
I couldn't believe it the first time I actually listened to this album after thinking I knew Zeppelin for years.
One of my favorite Zeppelin tracks.
The production is incredible.
One of their more progressive tracks. Love it!
My favorite on the album and in my top 5 of catalog.
Like I said earlier, my favorite album hands down! Great reaction again. Can you say
10 YEARS GONE!!!!!
"All of that grease!"! Ha! I love your analysis of the musical, lyrical and emotional impact of the recording! You have well-rounded reactions! I 🤘🤘
this was and still is one of my favorite Zeppelin albums.
Getting the Led out!
Outstanding react, and you wore the perfect shirt...Simply The Best....for both LZ and yourselves!
I f'in love this album
