Oh. My. Goodness. You are truly an artist! You've created a hill of hydrangeas in those gorgeous pots that are to die for! Yes, I will be copying this even if on a smaller scale somewhere in my garden. Your garden is by far THE MOST beautiful of any YT channels, including two of which I think are the biggest! I garden on almost two acres. The difference I think between you and me is that I too can visualize how I want each space to look, but YOU implement on a level that I know I'll never achieve. The colors and textures in your garden along with your art is just stunning above all others! Thank you for sharing your genius with all of us! Now, I'll have to find a place for a hill of beauty that I can pull off!!!
Had a home invasion 3 mo ago. One of many heartbreaking part is the breakage of pottery collected from living all over the world. 🤦🏼♀️ Love Terra Cotta and your nursery. Living in 9B there’s a limit of what can be planted, the summer here is your winter. The combinations you create look natural, whimsical, natural protection from neighbors. I do get daring by bringing inside cooler climate plants and grow them. It’s fun, experimenting and good for the soul. Lol ✨💖✨
Color and texture, that's where you shine 🙂 I watch (and re-watch) your videos for inspiration 😃🌿🌺 Thank you for sharing so much beauty and basically art... I've said it before, you're an artist whether you know it or not! Happy gardening 🌿🌺
I have a serious case of nursery envy! How blessed you are to have a resource like this...awesome diversity of plant textures and colors from which to choose your garden pallet. I first had to begin container gardening because of "playful" pups, but I also have serious tree root issues in my wooded backyard. I love your selection of pots....a variety of pot shapes but cohesive colors to meld them all together....an incredible job! Thanks for taking us along with you, Mike........
Yay, two videos in one week! What a treat! The planters look great. It added another layer of interest in the garden. Love the different shapes and sizes. Thank you for the inspiration. Speaking of local nurseries, I absolutely love going to my local nursery on Mother’s day and picking a special tree or shrub for my garden.
Please don't forget to protect your beautiful new container when winter comes, free thaw = broken pots. Enjoy your channel...a gardener after my own heart
Lol didnt mean to match :) i was just thinking youre blending in with the new pots, looking awsome btw . Love the patina on these pots and the assortment of shapes.
Oh, WoW!!! i love your garden.. Thanks for taking me along with you to a lovely nursery. Next month, I'm going to visit my in low in Lenexa,Kansas city, and i่'ll definitely check out this nursery, and hopefully, I can bring back something to CA.
Wow! Mike, this is gorgeous! Magazine worthy. I would not have thought to repeat the same hydrangeas in pots and I love them. Those pots are perfect for your garden. And that clematis! 💜💚
Who would have ever thought to repeat the same combination in all the planters. This is stunning!!!!!! I love layering the sizes of pots. Papa Bear, Mama Bear , and Baby Bear. Now I need to add siblings! Potato vine is one of the most striking additions to any pot. Love that pop of chartreuse. And yes, your backyard is way more than a backyard. This is a destination... a sanctuary for any gardener. Then the texture of the fern is perfect. The weathered patina of the pots is magic .
They had beautiful pots! I never would have put them together like that. But you made a unique display to fit your garden's needs. How nice it is to have a nursery with lots of options. Superb👏👏👏
Score! When you were adding the hydrangeas for some reason, I didn’t care for the single plants in each pot although I do like en mass plantings - - but when you figured out you were adding the extra greenery, it was beautiful spot on I think. I enjoy your gardens and your, artistic approach to your beds. I’m in northern Indiana. I appreciate your clay soil and battling the dampness issues. And yes, you are inspiring.
I watched "Garden art, a piece at a time" and commented with a few plant suggestions but I can see after watching this video that you're definitely not hard up for plant choices, lucky you. Beautiful results today.
What a beautiful yard and job you have learned quite a bit. I have been in my home 11 years and learn something every year. I have counted my pots Today. I have 38 pots besides my Inground Plants very pleased with my Overall look. Pink's purple's, white Dark potato vines, green potato vines. Splash of yellow here and there, this is so much fun and relaxing for me, as I'm sure it is for you, so rewarding. We do not have any kind of garden centers like you have so I think I do pretty well for what we have. You are blessed that way. Have a blessed day the Oklahoma gardener.
I love your garden!!!! I learn alot from you and your videos so keep them coming!!!!!!!! Thats the new thing you know, matching your attire with your planters!!! lollollol!!!!
Hi Mike, yesterday on another channel a few of us recommend you, so you might get some newbies. What a wonderful nursery my eyes went right to the planters you got😆I was thinking how beautiful with some rusty element near them, and here it is!I finally got hydrangea in my garden I have a shade area finally and so I did a bunch of shade inpots.Love the arrangements of the pots and the flowers and plants are such a beautiful combo.Coming down the walkway it just draws you in! Your garden is like a park! The clematis im guessing sometimes it's hard to see on video I can't tell if it has a strip or solid. If it has strip my guess Nelly mosser,if solid Arabella.Theirs different groups and varieties.I wish I traveled to that area i would love to go visit with my camera and sit and have coffee and talk with you and Jesse.Have a wonderful weekend 🕊️💚🇺🇲
I was one of those. So many of the other gardening channels seem to really push proven winners and espoma products, which is great, but it seems like those are the only products out there that perform. Obviously, there's so much more.
Clay soil is tough. Fortunately, when I started gardening I had GREAT mentors. I learned to garden in Missouri so I know about Clay soil. My biggest discovery for clay soil....triple ground mulch. I lived in a county that had nothing but rock and clay but I started using triple ground in all my beds ( thank you to my horticulturist friend from Missouri Botanical Gardens) After 2 years my soil became rich rich loam. It was amazing. I am a new subscriber...your garden is amazing...I'm so inspired. Moved to west coast Florida 8 years ago so I had to learn all over and it has been a new challenge. Thank you for sharing and your encouragement. If I still lived in St. Louis I would definitely be visiting...
If I went to that nursery, I would have a breakdown, with all the beautiful plants. I couldn't decide. Don't give women more than 3 choices The pot plantings lift your garden to another level. I don't know how many levels there are, but you're close to the top. I had to add pots to our raised garden bed area cause of flooding and I wanted flowers to bring the pollinators. We made arbors on both ends so we could drive the mower and wagon thru to dump mulch etc. You should include vegetables in your garden they have beautiful structure too. Make it a potgea garden.
Absolutely stunning! Your yard is my favorite on You tube! I would call it an enchanted garden. Can’t wait till your next video. You always give me so many ideas! We built our own house and started landscaping from scratch. It’s so fun to take pictures from one year to the next and see our progress. This is year 6.
Your channel is my absolute favorite !!!! I so look forward to your videos whenever I see you have posted a new one :). Please keep up the great work - you are truly a Master Gardener and I gain inspiration each time I see one of your videos.
It’s freaking amazing!! Those are my favorite planters from Family Tree. Still trying to figure out how to get them in my jeep lol and ask my husband to move them for me. The hydrangea design is so beautiful Mike. We’re going to KC today for my daughter’s 26th bday so might need to stop by that awesome nursery for a short beauty stroll. I always end up with a ton of plants. 😊
Well done you , well done. Each container offers the muted beauty of softness accentuated with the green leaves of the hydrangeas. Then you turn it all up a notch with potato vine and woodland ferns. I live in 5b renamed 6 and have woods surrounding my red saltbox house, the natural ferns go on for as far as you can see into those woods. Be still my heart.
Great choices in planters and plants. The uniformity of the pots grounds the area and the repeat planting gives the eye something to land on. Well done !
Another amazing project!!! I truly enjoy watching your ideas come to life, you are very talented. This is one of my favorite YT channels by far. I never would have thought about placing various containers in one area like that, you have given me quite a bit of inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! I thought the pots were so gorgeous with just the hydrangeas, but the end result is just breathtaking. I am learning that mass planting is so much more effective than ones and twos. You are so fortunate to have a nursery like that in your area. So many of them have closed here in the PNW --it makes me sad. I am so in love with the look and feel of your garden. Well done!!
Great choice of planters. Love it. I've been implementing planters in my gardens for several years now, I just love the look and textures it brings. Great job, keep the videos coming, enjoy them.
Vườn hoa rất đẹp tôi rất thích, cảm ơn bạn chia sẽ ❤
Vườn cây giống rất tuyệt vời ,đa dạng các loài hoa và cây cảnh .

Next level gardening! LOVE your vision!
I like the planters with just the hydrangeas but when you added the other plants it really took it to the next level. Your garden is wonderful!
I can't believe you've only been gardening for seven years. your garden is glorious!
I agree with you ❤🪴🌸🪴🌸🪴

I love this!! Thank you for sharing. Happy gardening to you as well.
The groupings of containers are beautiful. Several containers, creating a second-tier garden bed, is a wonderful idea.
Beautiful looking planters with beautiful hydrangeas, They are the bees knees.
Очень красиво! Вы художник, творец сада! Привет из Казахстана!)))
The potato vines truly make the hydrangeas pop with the color contrast, wow! Beautiful work!

Oh, Family Tree Nursery...heaven on earth, LOL! Another great video, thanks so much for sharing your decision processes with us!
I wish all greenhouses had that concept of now selling perennials that aren’t zoned to our area.
Stunning……absolutely beautiful!!! Love the combo and the different heights you placed the pots!!! Love love love ❤️
Thank you for watching.
I agree with you ❤ Amazing work ❤🌿❤️🌸🌿❤️🌸🌿🌸🌸

Wow! Mike, this is gorgeous! Magazine worthy. I would not have thought to repeat the same hydrangeas in pots and I love them. Those pots are perfect for your garden. And that clematis! 💜💚
I would need to buy a truck or trailer if I lived near that nursery. What a selection! 🙀
