Don't ever hesitate to show a dormant garden landscape. It really shows off all the hard work you put into the hardscape and gives you a chance to share your ideas and vision for future projects. It also inspires us to get into our gardens, even in the winter, and do some brain storming. Thanks again and looking forward to your next project.🤩
One important thing I learned over my 70 something years, is that I please myself and if people enjoy it GREAT. I am happy. If NOT, well I am not here to please strangers. You just can't please everyone, so I don't try. I am much happier this way! Sometimes we meet people who share the same ideas, those are the people I like to associate with! You sir are one of them. I enjoy nature. Not forcing plants into some unnatural shape. While there may be a place for that in some gardens, It IS NOT IN MY GARDEN! Happy New Year to everyone!
Lots of progress and creative ideas. Thanks for the tour. I came on board when you received the Moon Gate. Stunning entrance to the magic gardens. Looking forward to 2025 new creations.
Whimsy/ Whimsical. Whatever you choose to call your garden style is fine by me. Just don't stop sharing it with us. Your garden is awesome and a huge inspiration to many.
I love your property. U have such an imagination. Its so very pretty. So whimsical! U have such an eye. I like those round wood pieces in the border. Its something i think most could afford and manage to find. I also like the bikes. I have a couple myself. I really like the hobbit houses. I am fond of mystical fairies,,pixies, and gnomes, so your yard just draws me in. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this beautiful video. I always enjoy watching you and all the great whimsical ideas you have. I wish you were my neighbor. I love all of the hardscaping. All the houses you have in the back, the cartoon shed, the chicken pen, the hobbit house. They are all incredible. I live in northern Alabama and unfortunately I have full sun gardening, not the shade that I would love. The clay and the high heat in the summer are devastating to many of my plants. The wasps down here are very aggressive. I had no idea I was allergic to wasp stings, but I am. I was not going to let them deter me from gardening, so my husband purchased a full beekeeper suit for me. Every time I go outside in the spring, summer or fall to the garden, I’m covered by a bee suit, head to toe and have not been stung since. I love those gigantic, beautiful flower pots that you have, and the moon gate naturally. If you were going to have a tour at any time, I would be very cautious about the barbed wire fencing near the Hobbit house. You give me so many wonderful ideas. I wish I was 30 years younger and much stronger. ❤ you give me inspiration to add whimsy to my gardens. Thank you again. Love from Harvest AL.
Happy New Year to you and your family. I have been subscribed to your channel from the very beginning and have seen how you have taken an already beautiful garden into a wonderful whimsical place where you can find so many surprises at every corner. Please keep sharing these videos. Looking forward to all the new projects you have planned for this year. My favorite is the Hobbit home
I have a neighbor who complained to city code enforcement that I had DEAD bushes growing through my fence. The plants were dormant because of the high temps we were having. Did I pull them out? Hell no, just started watering them more. Case closed. I am happy, he IS NOT! I am so sick of people thinking we all have to live to their standards.
Your garden is like no other. It’s unique and beautiful. Lots of other are nice but more of the same. Not yours. I’d love to see the garden of the guy who called your HeShed “too cartoonish .”
Your videos are always an inspiration, we get a new idea every time we view one. Love the addition of the houses. We’re slowly making our fenced area a small forest with pathways through out it. Our biggest challenge is keeping the Goldens (2) happy, and feral cats out. Please keep sharing your videos so our imagination can grow watching yours. Thank you and Happy New Year! Congratulations on the new Fur Baby too!
Happy New Year! I truly love your creativity what JOY you bring not only to me but others. I try and glean from your beautiful landscape. May God continue blessing you and yours.
Lovd the view from above. We get to see the bones & layout. You have encouraged me to pick up curbside finds. I have a section of picket fence & 8ft section of fencing to repurpose. Happy 2025.
Your garden is such an inspiration to me! I am in the process of creating a Moon Gate because of you. I found an old round bale feeder in the hedge row of our family farm and have dug it out and am going to use that. Probably going to use your idea of using the different sized posts cut up for the edging to the new bed too.
Stepping stones with river rock might be a good idea for entrance to moon gate. I orginally though of like bridge with trolls 😂 happy early anniversary.wishing you guys many more! Happy New year!
It would be hard to imagine your backyard without all you've done to it. What did it look like before you added everything? Just a lawn? Any existing trees or shrubs?
Your videos are always awesome Your the closest to me at St Charles Mo I get great insights from your imagination Please don't stop completely Happy New Year!!!
Make sure your nest boxes are lower than your roosts. Saw you pointing low, so figure that's the case. A lot of people make the mistake of having them the same level and chickens end up rooting in boxes, which isn't great.
I had to take out my tigers eye even tho when they were their vibrant neon green they were like nothing else I have, in my Zone 6 they only had leaves 4 mos of the year and my orange cones didn’t stay in winter and they suckered terribly even to the neighbors, but in their glory they are stunning!
I know you said you don’t like gnome figures but look at Henri studios Ziggy gnome oh my goodness he is spectacular and so detailed ( I have him and his wife Zoe ) they are solid cement and made to look aged
Please leave the leaves! I have read that firefly larva depend on those leaves and it takes them two years to develop? If you take the leaves away you destroy their habitat. Just like you love your rusty treasures, I love the look of leaves in a garden.
Eeehhhhhh ..... I wouldn't allow that Wisteria to grow through, up and around that chicken coop. I've seen - even young - specimens bend and deform chain link fences with EASE. And when you eventually admit that it was a huge mistake, you'll be cutting (plant and/or wire) for days to get it pristine again.
Love your garden and all its whimsy and hardscapes and conifers etc….you have given me so much inspiration for my property I hope you’ll stick around UA-cam! Also don’t listen to naysayers, everyone’s got an opinion, you do you and we love it. I leave my leaves because it’s good for the soil, I often use a leaf mulcher and put them back where they were to decompose, the person who criticized your leaves has never watched HortTube w Jim Putnam as he’s an expert who advocates leaving and using leaves 🤓. I also like the fall color of the leaves thru the winter.

Your yard is beautiful, I really like your ideas, I hope to see many more of your posts 👍💕🌺🌷🌹🌲

I love your vivid imagination and your skill set to pull it off!
Lovely and most enjoyable, thank you. Especially Hey Hey. In Joy
Even in the dead of winter there is still so much interest in your garden.... Happy New Year!
Love the shed, hobbit house and all the stones and evergreens
I think you’re more whimsical than you think..lol. Love the rustic elements and the winter conifers throughout.
Enjoyed the tour of your winter garden.

I love the colors you can't please everyone u please yourself
I also like to see your videos.
I enjoy seeing everything. The rocks catches my eyes.
I LOVE YOUR SHED COLOR!! Memory( fantasy) shed! I also leave my leaves for natures purpose … worms, bugs and birds.

You are 100% whimsical. Love it. Keep it coming.
Those fallen leaves also feed the soil and provide shelter for insects over winter. Great to see the bare bones of your garden.

Thank you for sharing another great video of your beautiful garden to start the New Year off!
Happy New Year to you and your family!
Always enjoy your garden tours. Love your imagination!
Perfectly imperfect.
I always enjoy a trip through your garden. The garden should reflect the garden and Mike, you do a wonderful job of that!

Beautiful, and your "thinking outside of the box" creativity is so inspiring to me!

The gazing balls: you could paint them any color. Also you could use plaster to give them rough texture and paint the gray for rocks.
I love the rocks i collect them too ty

I put out a video of this very topic several years ago. Look for “Before and After Transformation of Moxie Gardens.” Thank you for watching.
Your videos are always awesome Your the closest to me at St Charles Mo I get great insights from your imagination Please don't stop completely Happy New Year!!!
Spider mites on the boxwood Captain Jacks should help or ask someone at your nursery 😮
Love everything about your garden!

I didn't particularly like gnomes either, but I have to say they are so stinking cute and showing up more and more on my property! 😊😊😊😊
The grandkids are going to love the garden. Always do you and let the nasty clown people get on their bikes. Cheers Bronwyn 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Have to agree, that plant will destroy the chicken wire!
