Your presentation for this video, the photos/videos/scientific names per plant was phenomenal! This must have taken you a long time to put together - and it is an absolute masterpiece. What a lovely garden you have. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
Thank you SO much for showing chicken wire around your beautiful plants. I must use it to keep the deer from devouring what they don't tear up rubbing their antlers. Your use of the chicken wire inspired me to make mine look nicer & not so obvious in the garden while still offering needed protection! Thank you Rosanne!
I'm so glad you found a tidbit in the video to help you with your own garden. We put the chicken wire around everything that is really yummy to the bunnies and valuable to us. And, you are right, it doesn't have to be ugly. Green wire with green stakes can look quite nice, and garden-like.
I really appreciate all the detailed information in this video. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into it. Showing all the videos and photos of various vining plants was so helpful. Thanks for providing this beautifully designed information. Your garden is gorgeous.
Thank you Stacie for that kind feedback. I'm so pleased that you appreciated the video. I enjoy making the videos, and I have a passion for vining and climbing plants. Glad you visited! 🌹🌿☺️
I literally lost it when I saw your home. It is stunning. I love all of your trellises, but my favorite has to be the one by your front door! So fun and unique! However, I am now on the hunt for an umbrella trellis because my little girls would love that.
Yay! Glad to hear you are planning on growing vines this year! I'm glad you liked our home; compared to many, it is modest, but it does have character ❤️🏡
I've never seen so many different types of trellises. Love the ones your husband made for the shed and the rose. Thank you for the tour and the inspiration. Hopefully some day I can use some of them.
Thank you! I am fortunate to have such a handy garden partner. I too love the trellis he made for the shed and am trying to convince him to let me film him doing another 😉. He's a bit camera shy though. I'm glad you appreciate the variety of ways to support climbing plants. They are indeed "garden art". Yours in gardening. 🌹
@@RosannesGarden I love the handmade trellis too. Please try to convince your husband to make another one. We would love to see his hands in the video only😂😂
I haven't found many gardening videos for my zone, so let me tell you - I have been devouring your videos!! I love your style and as an added bonus you remind me very very much of my grandmother who passed away. She loved flowers and had an elegant, articulate way of speaking just like you do. It makes me feel close to her when I garden. Thank you for sharing your beautiful yard and creativity with us!
Hello Sara! I am so glad that you have discovered my channel! Grandmothers are special, and it’s very sweet that I remind you of yours. My own grandmother was a great gardener. She loved her lilies.
I SO appreciate your insight that with beautiful trellises you are installing garden art as you wait for vines to climb them! I've never thought about it that way and from now on I will use trellises with that important point in mind!
Wow, that is very kind of you to say! I am very happy to hear feedback such as yours. As you probably know, I don't do that many videos, but I do try to make each one special.
What a beautiful instructional video. You have done such a wonderful job of describing the plants and adding the written notes of the common and Latin names of the flowers. Thank you.
Thank you! I'm so glad that you appreciate the video, and the Latin! . Common names can be just too confusing to people not in your same region/country.
Such a beautiful garden and truly an inspiration, especially for zone 4 gardeners I am sure (I am zone 7)! This was so helpful in seeing all of the different support structures you have. Thank you!
What a wonderful video! We lived in our last home for 44 years and just moved this last June. I left beautiful plants and many were created from loved ones sharing plants. Due to health issues I can no longer get down and play in the dirt like I would like to do, so I am opting to use beautiful window boxes in the front of my home and I want bushes and some trailing vines in my back yard. I left a magnificent, years old wisteria and beautiful clematis as well as a wonderful perennial garden. So the fun begins for me with the physical help of my hubby. This place will take a few years to really get lovely but I'm up for it. Thank you for such an inspiring video!
Thank you, Joyce! Moving away from a well-established garden with wonderful, heirloom plants must have been difficult, but I am happy to hear that I have played a small role in helping inspire you as you create your new masterpiece 🌺🌼🌳.

Hi Gina! Always nice to hear from you. I'll be curious to see how your Virgins Bower works out. Mine look healthy, but they are still only about 6 inches tall. Good thing they are perennials! Maybe they take time to establish, and then they take off. Next year will be the real reveal. As always, thanks for watching and commenting. I'll tell my husband you said "hi". Rosanne, I just discovered your site and am impressed by the content and your calm and informational presentation. Beautiful Vertical Garden, I’m new to your channel and just subscribed! You’ve inspired a young black male first time home buyer with excellent tips to make my .24 acres a paradise. Thank you
Love your garden and am delighted with your knowledge. I love trellises and you've given me some very inspirational options for my small yard. Your videos are at a good pace and organized. Thank you for that.
I'm so happy to hear that you are already trying two of my favorite vines! All the best with your vertical gardening projects! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🌹
So so helpful. 😊 This careful walkthru, with detailed explanations for the ‘why’ of choices, is what I’m *always* looking for! (And nearly never finding.) Thank you! The effort you took is SO appreciated.
PS - From super droughty California - I’m feelin so jealous of your water availability! Every night, lately, a (thirsty) family of deer comes down from the hills to re-strip my 2nd year fruit trees and behead what’s left the dahlias. 🤦♀️🙄
Thank you Devin! And, greetings to California! When I first started out with vines, I made a lot of mistakes pairing them with inappropriate supports 😕. I'm so glad you appreciated the video and my narrative. Sorry to hear about those pesky deer. Our main problem is with bunnies. But, they are sooo cute 🐇 (to me). We are indeed fortunate to have water. Even with a very dry summer, we could still water our plants. But now, we have winter to look forward to (I actually really do like winter). All the best! 🌺🌿
Thanks! I agree about switching things up - it keeps the garden interesting! As far as starting plants from seed, I find it's the only way to be guaranteed of some really interesting plants; garden centers tend to only sell basics.
What a great channel you have! So glad it was recommended to me. I only have a few pots on a balcony but I consider it my garden and love it so much when I see a butterfly, hummingbird or yellow finch visiting. One day I will have a large garden! I am learning so much from you--thank you!
Thank You Rosanne for this Wonderful video and for sharing all of your climbers. I'm tempted to start one in front of my apartment. I loved this tour and will have to share it!
I learned from you that the garden can be as beautiful as you can with your imagination and ideas. My garden is a simple garden with only roses, but I would like to subscribe to your channel to make it more beautiful. With gratitude from Japan.
Greetings to Japan! That is very kind and generous of you to say. A garden full of roses sounds absolutely beautiful! Thank you for subscribing. I do not do many videos, but I try to make them each special. 🌹
Wonderful vines in one of the most harmonious gardens on UA-cam, thank you for creating and sharing such beauty ❤️. I'm trying climbing nasturtiums this year, so far so good, hope to see a lot of whimsical flowers soon 🙂
Thank you very much Yulia! That is very kind of you to say! My husband tried nasturtiums this year in his veg garden. They are good pollinator magnets. Good luck with your soon to be blooming flowers! 🌼
I love your garden and learn so much about vines and the trellises. Thank you so much for sharing, I will plan on planting several vines next year thanks to you!

Greetings and thanks for visiting! I'm so glad you are enjoying my garden. My husband and I love sharing our garden with others! All the best to you. 🌺🌺🌺
This is a wonderful inspirational and informative video! I loved seeing how you paired your vines with different supports and the plant characteristics of your choices. I will definitely be adding more vertical elements to my garden for next year and trying to start more from seed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Yay Janice! I'm so glad to hear it. With so many perennials, shrubs and trees in our garden, annual vines are my way to introduce "new and different" in the garden. Have fun planning! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yay! I'm so glad you like the garden. Zone 6 seems dreamy to me. I agree that all of these vines (perennial and annual) would probably do quite well in your zone.
This is fantastic and so informative. Thank you for sharing your expertise and advice. I added my first two clematis to my garden this year, Etoile Violette and Samaritan Jo. I’m excited to see how they progress and perform. Your video has inspired me to try some annual vines.
Thank you Melissa! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and are thinking of "expanding" your vertical gardening to include annual vines. Although... clematis are just so lovely and they seem to give and give, year after year. Good luck with your new clematis and happy gardening! 🌹
Thank you! I'm so pleased that you appreciated the "mature" plantings on the trellis and other supports. I too find it helpful to see how plants really did turn out, not just when they are planted.
I adore your trellises! The advice to match the potential size/weight of the vine with the support is so important. I made a type of umbrella trellis from a double shepherd's crook and an upside-down hanging basket; my tomatillos had exploded and were taking over my garden beds. I've also grown yellow pear tomatoes against a fence in a narrow side-yard by tying them up to an old trellis. Your garden is beautiful. Love your house too! One day I will also have a charming garden shed. Your explanations and before/after photos really tell the whole tale for your viewers. Thank you!
Thank you! How creative you are to make that umbrella trellis! And, fascinating about the yellow pear tomatoes. We always grow those and they can get a bit unruly, even with a tomato cage. I just might try tying them to a trellis! I'm glad you are enjoying my channel. I appreciate the feedback 🙂🌿🌹
Hello Rosanne, first of all, thank you very much for setting up the automatic translation, my language is Spanish. I congratulate you on your beautiful garden and for the very precise explanation that you share with us in your videos, I have just moved to a house with a very large lot, but it does not really have a garden shape and what little it has is very neglected. You are a great inspiration to me. I wanted you to know. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thanks for your time. 🤗🙌🌵🐛🏡💚
Amazing! I loved the buckthorn trellis. Eagerly waiting to see the vines in full bloom soon. Have you ever tried growing Passiflora? Needless to say I am inspired by your video.
Just saw the article in the "Sun Current". I'm sure I visited your garden when it was part of the the Edina Garden Council Garden Tour a couple of years ago as I definitely remember your garden shed and bench...This video has given me LOTS of options for my new black chainlink fence. The fence was a gift from the architect building a new house next to mine. I already have the Blue Moon wisteria but needed more climbing vines to fill in where a wooden fence used to be. Thank YOU for these inspirations!
Yes, I'm sure you have been to our garden! It was in an Edina Garden Council Tour many years ago. We thought the journalist for the Sun Current did a nice job on the article. It's a nice send-off. As to the video, I'm so glad you found it useful and inspirational. Vines can cover a multitude of sins 😉🌿🌹
Beautiful! I once saw a beautiful backyard garden. The Gardner said that every time she planted a tree, she planted a Clematis. I’ve planted trees since but never tried it. I guess it’s worth a try, but I think I prefer your structures. ❤️
Thank you! Interesting about the trees. I think I'll stick to structures too. I have heard of many people combining climbing roses with clematis. That one has me intrigued. Maybe next year 😏🌺🌹.
What a beautiful range of climbers and pretty supports. Lovely garden. Thank you. This year I've planted two Lady Boothby climbing fuchsias in large pots either side of a metal arch and they're doing great. So pretty.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Perhaps it's our climate, but I've never heard of Lady Boothby climbing fuchsias until now. I looked them up and they are gorgeous! I'm sure yours are too 🌿🌺🌹
@@RosannesGarden oh, thanks so much, Roseanne 💐. Yes, we're UK based so not sure if our climate particularly suits them. I bought them via Etsy, quite hesitantly as, like many I've had some poor experiences buying online but these arrived beautifully tall & healthy and are thriving. Worth a try if you get the chance & have space in your lovely garden 😊🦋🌷🦋
Thank you Ting! I'm so glad you agree! Even if the vines don't work out (which certainly does happen), the trellises are still gracing the garden. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Your garden is a joyful celebration of many unique and beautiful plants. A very inspiring well thought out garden. I enjoyed your presentation very much. Thank you for sharing so many innovative good ideas. Loved all the various forms of trellis and structures to allow climbing plants to thrive and have the best advantage to do well. my vigna caracalla is planted in two different spots - the one in full sun at all times is not entirely happy. The other one has it's roots in shade and then climbs up to the sun. It now covers the trellis and has climbed up and just started to spill over the solid stone wall onto my neighbors side of the wall. Before the end of summer it will need a very hard prune as the one small cutting I planted has now morthed into covering the high stone fence on my side of the fence and the trellis lines above the fence to a width of 25 feet horizontally across my solid stone fence in just 2 years. The scent from the flowers is gorgeous and my neighbors on the other side love the flowers and the vine too as it reaches over the top of fence to adorn the upper part of wall next to their BBQ area that was previously very bare. They keep it clipped from below so that none of the stems can grow down into the ground. suits them as they told me they love the flowers and can control it from being able to spread more on their side and still enjoy the flowers and the greenery on their once very bare wall..
Thank You Annatt! That is very kind of you to say! I'm so pleased that you found the video enjoyable, and helpful. Interesting about your Vigna caracalla. They sound sooo beautiful! Mine never got too ambitious, but I did have some beautiful flowers. You must live in a much warmer zone. By the time my vines were starting to really grow, autumn and freezing temperatures were beginning to set in. I am going to try a different place for my seedlings this year 🤞.

Hmm, I guess your deer have good taste!
I love how you start a lot of your plants from seed :) I also love how you switch things up. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I agree about switching things up - it keeps the garden interesting! As far as starting plants from seed, I find it's the only way to be guaranteed of some really interesting plants; garden centers tend to only sell basics.
This was so inspiring, and helpful! I would love to have more vertical interest in my garden.
Thank you! I'm glad you found the video inspiring! Happy vertical gardening. ☺️

What a great channel you have! So glad it was recommended to me. I only have a few pots on a balcony but I consider it my garden and love it so much when I see a butterfly, hummingbird or yellow finch visiting. One day I will have a large garden! I am learning so much from you--thank you!
Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel!
Love that trellis over shed door.
Thank you! I'll let my husband know. He's the artist there.
Love the wysteria over the trellis. Looks like an amazing entrance to your yard. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks. The wisteria does like that location! Glad you found some tips in the video!
Excellent presentation...you explain growing the plants so well and the visual effects were inspiring!

Thank you Linda! I'm so glad I may have gotten another gardener "hooked" on vines and climbers 🤩.

Thank you Lissie! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you Adrian! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the video and were inspired to plant some vines next spring. It's so rewarding to watch them climb and flower. Thanks for visiting and commenting! 🌺
Wow, you certainly gave me a lot of ideas. Thank you so much, your garden is beautiful ❤️
Thank you! I am sooo happy to hear that! My goal is to inspire more gardening and to encourage creative fun with it. It's good for the soul. Happy gardening!
Hello and good morning from my Country...Rosannes. i am glad to see you in the Lovely garden.
Those Flowers are truly Beautiful and Enchanting....Congratulations... Rosannes.
I love your Garden so much....Thank you for sharing your Fantastic work.
All the best wishes to you and yours.
This garden really is for me. Even though I am 2 zones above you (zone 6) these plants will probably all work in my garden just fine.
Yay! I'm so glad you like the garden. Zone 6 seems dreamy to me. I agree that all of these vines (perennial and annual) would probably do quite well in your zone.
@@RosannesGarden Very wet and shady garden here though😅. So much rain and clouds.
I enjoyed your video. You have a beautiful garden. I also like that you had photos of the trellis with full grown vines on them. Thank you
Thank you! I'm so pleased that you appreciated the "mature" plantings on the trellis and other supports. I too find it helpful to see how plants really did turn out, not just when they are planted.
Magnificent! Thanks for all the great ideas! 🍃🌼💐🌸🌻🌹🌾🌺🍃
Thank you Christina! You are so welcome. I love sharing our garden and garden ideas! 🌼
❤️
I absolutely love your garden and your vertical gardening ideas.
your garden is beautiful and sophisticated.
So nice of you! Thank you! 🌱🌺🌼
So pretty
Thanks!
What a beautiful garden, you are so intuitive with where to place plants and how to care for them, just gorgeous!!!
Thank you! I'm glad you think so! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Amazing! I loved the buckthorn trellis. Eagerly waiting to see the vines in full bloom soon. Have you ever tried growing Passiflora?
Needless to say I am inspired by your video.
Passiflora? No! I will definitely look it up 🤩. Thanks for the tip!
It's amazing. Thank you so much for showing that you can create a beautiful universe of flowers through the Vertical Garden.
That is very nice of you to say. I t gives me great pleasure to encourage more flowers in the world. 🌷🌿☺️
Yes another inspiring video . Would love to try all of them in my garden. Thank you so much for sharing with us . ♥️
Thank you! As you know, we love sharing our garden! I'm so pleased you enjoyed this video! 🌹🌿☺️
Summers r just too short. It’s so lovely when these vines are in full bloom. Nice to see all the different trellis available. Beautiful video.👏🏻👏🏻
Yes, summers are too short! But, the flowering vines keep it going! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much Mrs. Rosanne! You are really inspiring me into flowering vines gardening ❤️
Thank you! I'm so pleased to hear that! 🌺🌹☺️
This is a new way of gardening. Please keep posting. Interesting presentation
I'm so glad you found the video interesting! I appreciate the encouragement. I don't do many videos, but I try to make them special 🌹.
Wonderful and informative show Rosanne. Totally with you.
Thank you so much! 🌹 Glad you enjoyed the video!
You have some beautiful vertical vine trellises. They are truly magnificent pieces of art. Thank you for the tour!
Thank you Ting! I'm so glad you agree! Even if the vines don't work out (which certainly does happen), the trellises are still gracing the garden. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Love your creative plant support ideas. Watching has given me some problem solving ideas for difficult areas of my own garden. Thank-you
Yay! Glad the video was helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Treat to the eyes ! Thankyou for educating on creating a heavenly garden.
Thank you! That is very kind of you to say!
Fabulous content… I totally appreciate the text for the names and seeing all stages. You are a joy to watch!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed (and appreciated) the video. You are kind with your words 🌹
Wow Beautiful Trellis in your garden.
Thank you! 🌹
Lots of great information and nice presentation. 😊
Glad you liked it! 🌹
Omg, your garden is such a paradise. You did a wonderful job!
