    I have a 17 charger pursuit. And there are a handful of choices.
    The v6 base model has the smallest ones
    The r/t has another size
    The pursuit cars have even a larger size
    Then you have the brembos.
    I think the scat pack non brembos share the same size as the pursuit.

    Looks like you had the front pads for the two piston front calipers and the car had the single piston caliper. Should have been part D1056 from Duralast. With Chargers and Challengers always look in the description of how many pistons the caliper in the description of the pads.

    That's the thing with those late model dodges cars. It will ask you vented or solid rear rotor. Then it has options for 4 piston or 6 piston brembos which usually only come on the R/T's and up. I think there are about 4 or 5 different pad options for them. Hard to blame a customer or the employee for that one. I worked at Autozone for about 4 years. I would always have to go out to check these dodges for which one the customer needed because they barely knew what year their car was much less solid or vented rotor. Loved it when they came in with one of the pads in their hand. Made it easy.

Shop closed until the Tuesday too as it was a holiday weekend. Quality control got messed up somewhere for sure. Worst part was I’d taken all the old pads off and dumped them up the road in the street bin a couple of hours before. People were looking at me crazy cos I was rummaging in the bin for my old pads which had some life left in them 😂😂😂

    Not sure how you could do this for a living. I had my own shop for a couple years. Sometimes it was great but allot of the time it sucked. I always wanted to help people out when they where down on there luck and it almost always bit me in the ass. I would give someone a quote on a starter or a engine with a 20% mark up with parts from a reputable company. Many times they would complain and say I can get the starter for $50 online. I would tell them I can't give warranties on there eBay parts if they fail. Often they would and those same customers would come in a few months later complaining. Cause I put a starter or whatever in there car a few months ago and now it's not working. It was almost always someone I gave discounts and tried to help. • @shyro76
      @shyro76 6 місяців тому

      That, and many shops won’t warrantee services that are done with a customer’s own parts. The video is one good example. If you’re a shop and you’re only charging labor for a job, and then find out the parts the customer ordered aren’t right, then you may have just done a whole lot of work for nothing. You as a mechanic or shop owner may also be held liable if anything goes wrong as a result of a job you did, regardless of whether it’s their parts or yours. Customers also love purchasing the cheapest parts possible because they think they’re saving money, but that clearly isn’t the case. All they’re doing is buying parts that aren’t gonna last as long and won’t work as well. Are you as a shop owner willing to take on the liability of having installed a customer’s parts when you never should’ve done so?

    there's like 4 or 5 trims of dodge chargers & they all vary by year too, if you mess the year up or the engine size or model when you ask for brakes atta place like autozone or orielly, they're gonna give you exactly what you asked for.. sux cuz some places ARE scummy & they'll try to getcha with that trick
