This customer must have been a diehard subsciber and really appreciates Matt's helping nature. To give $500.00, which is alot in these rough times, is extremely generous.
If you took that new of a Mercedes to a dealership and have them do the brakes and oil change, I’m not sure it wouldn’t have costed more and you probably couldn’t have looked out the window once in a while to make sure the guy was actually working on it.
Just started this video. If he did front and rear brakes, that's actually well under dealership pricing. Average brake job at any dealership is approx $265 per axle just labor. Buick seemin 5:35 gly is most expensive averaging $340 n axle. So $500, for a mobile mechanic oil change using 7+ qts. synthetic oil and brakes is reasonable. Having said that, I just got to where it's $500 plus his bill, very generous. That's great passing it fwd.
@@justinadams159$500 front to back with resurface at the dealership I’m at. Not including the service advisors up sale brake flushes which is like a $150-$200 service.
I’m sure he appreciated it but Matt is the good guy in this situation cause dealership would be 200 bicks plus why do you think the guys so happy to have him do it lol
Started doing front end work roughly 2-3 years ago jumping into a wheel bearing with no experience. Watching your videos inspires me to do good for others the way you do! Keep it up man we need more people like you!🤙🏻
That dude is awesome. I have worked on cars in my spare time for 50 years, and have never taken money from someone who needs my help. I just feel that it wouldn’t be right. What goes around, comes around. Always do the right thing, always. You rock Matt.🤙
Mercedes stock brake pads are often glued to the caliper for assembly purposes on the assembly line. If you purchase dealer pads they will have adhesive strips to attach them to the caliper. It can help with noise aswell
bro be real, he deserves that $500. He already does great work for pretty cheap. Does payment plans. Loans out jack stands and has warranty for any job he does. You couldn't get a better, more experienced mobile mechanic with the prices he does.
That 500 needs to go to Matt because he is the one constantly working for free in order to be able to bless these people so it counts more to keep Matt healthy and happy in order to help more and more people out !!
Great work. I agree with some of the people that said it would be amazing to have a fund that he can use for helping others when he sees fit. Like a donation pot that is group funded. Or extra cash on top of the quote, like this job. But lets be honest, it's great to see the extra cash on this job being used how Matt sees fit. Like his daughters birthday coming up. (Well passed now since it's been 4 months) Came at a great time by the sounds of it. 🎉 I would be one to be able to take advantage of a situation where a part coul be covered. Where I lost my job. But on the flip side I would also like to pay more then the quoted price to help the next person if that situation occurs. Maybe it's a pipe dream but someone like Matt would really stand out doing pay it forward deeds if he could. The good PR alone would be fantastic and he could see a real ROI in the long run. Just my two cents on the topic. No mater what Matt does. Wish him nothing but success and got major respect for him. From a Canadian fan here in Newfoundland!
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not Matt's Channel on UA-cam I think he posts all his stuff on either Facebook or tiktok and someone is stealing his videos off that platform and putting them on UA-cam I could be wrong but I noticed it doesn't seem like he ever responds to any comments which would also explain why his video screen is so small because they're blocking out the other platforms information such as tiktok or Facebook
@@leviblackwell6895 true but he has to sit on social media to edit and upload his videos. Don't get me wrong I hope it's him cuz I love watching his stuff I just want him to get credit for his work and not douche bag stealing videos off other platforms and reaping the benefits.
I work in IT security and i believe you are on to something here. The fact that his videos always get cut off at the end shows that someone's editting part of the video. He never mentions UA-cam in his videos either when talking to customers. Only TikToc and Facebook. Honestly, i think you are spot on with this analysis.
He seems to respond mainly on Facebook. But he has tagged this UA-cam channel on a few of his reels on Facebook when people have asked for longer content.
I don't do facebook or Tiktoc so i can't reach out to him but i would be very scaried to send any money through this platform till we get an answer on whether this is HIS channel or not.
@MJ_M I'm just saying it's not very professional to swear in front of your customers. It's a business that you represent. Your not in a bar having a few beers. He probably does more work for women then men.
It's a blue collar job and he's not working out of a professional setting. Swearing in this context has been normal forever. I fear the ever moving boundaries of taking offense have swept you up.

They both made out but Matt could have charged double and he still would have been happy
God bless that man - he did well and understands it's important to help others.
Very heart warming gesture from this kind grateful MAN !
Na that customer was such an awesome dude god bless him 🙏🏻

This guy gave an extra $500 to the next person, God is good. Bless this man and send him good energy ✊🏿
Lol the guy told you the 500 bucks was for other people that you are helping and you go "great! My daughters birthday is coming up" 🤣
I caught that

This customer was amazing, who does this. What a nice thing to do to help the less fortunate.
Great donation to help the next person that really needs it
Beautiful work beautiful integrity beautiful content great job Matt much love from Alan the 918 mobile mechanic 👨🏻🔧
Wow 🤩 what a classy dude that guy was! 🫡
Tip for that oil bucket the best I learned to use the is to get the oil to flow into the drain.
What a great guy. Both of them.

That oil filter looks like a air filter for a skeet loader

Just one good to deed to another good dude.
Wow what a great guy!
dude sees a car, turns into a little happy optimistic kid 😊
That’s awesome
I wish you were in Raleigh, NC.
Just wondering. Why don’t u ever lay down a tarp when doing oil changes on customers driveways? U gotta a lot of trust in the that lil pan lol
Brother I wish you were here in Las Vegas
Matt you need a low rise creeper, that laying on concrete is gonna cost ya later😮
Whaat?!? No waaaaaayy!
You should put cardboard or a oil mat when changing oil on someone’s driveway. Better safe than sorry. Great video btw.what a great customer
I bought a new plate for my daughter's civic thicker has two hatch door one to drain oil and other for oil filter one screw per opening
The way the back pad on the driver side was looking I would think I the rotors no good?
You deserve it bro
Thanks bro
Thats why you grease the back side of the pad i just watched a video you said why grease the back of the pads😂😂
Really nice guy, but , i dont think ill EVER buy a car or truck that doesnt have a dipstick for the motor...ever..
Them clips will cut you good lol
Didn't know you had a UA-cam
Hopefully the money goes to some great people who need help in your experiences
How do I go about doing this in my neck of the woods?
I wish i was near him lol my car has a misfire horrid mpg already had diagnosed at a shop but the parts they said didn't fix it
The money was for future customers
Have you ever looked into an oil extraction setup for doing mobile oil changes? Might make those potential messes easier to deal with.
All the gunk gathers are the bottom of the sump = that is the crap you want out of the vehicle!
Hey matt. Ur video angles are way high. Thanks
Get ur self some ramps for oil change
I don't think he gave the $500 for daughter's birthday! I know what you meant though!
I was thinking that too. His timing of brining up his daughters birthday made it sound like he was going to spend the guys $500.00 on her.
@klwthe3rd who cares if he did. He's always helping people out anyways.
I can do brakes in my sleep. They are so easy. Even drum brakes are easy
Nice
Don't Mercedes come with free maintenance for the first few years?
A couple oil changes is all being a 21 those are long gone
is he self taught or did he go to college??
Hey Matt do you read or respond to comments?
I don’t think he responds to comments but not 100%
@@new2me78 Wonder why that is??? I don't think he realizes that his content is being hijacked without his consent.

This white guy probably takes it to the dealer
Good video usual but please wear gloves, dirty hands in a new merc i would be pissed right off that said your a good guy with a good heart
Matt a word of advice try not to swear. I know your talking man to man. You don't want to offend women who are watching your video.
Girls swear all the time if people get that offended they shouldn't be watching tv
There's no logical reason for women to be any more offended by swearing than men
