Why do so many riders ride in front of the master or at least ride abreast the master ? Shouldn’t riders follow the master or does it depend on the master of the day? The crowding of many horses around the master seems excessive.

Monty who ? I love his films and excellent introduction. I have hunted with ten hunts over 50 years. The Beaufort in my teens and again in later life when hounds could still hun the fox . Now in my old age am reliving the thrills I used to enjoy . At 14 my hunter was an Irish draught .
