    You should show more of the group interactions before and after a hunt while everyone is on their horses and how you clean down your horse after a race or how you prepare him for one. That would be good content ppl would want to see

    Absolutely love your videos! It's a pleasure to see such a quiet, calm and skilled rider crossing some great country and jumps. I love how Tonic listens to you, and how much you reward him. So nice to also see someone not hanging onto their horse's mouth, you've clearly got the right bridle and also his level of fitness means he's got plenty of engine power, but he's not over the top. I'd love to see at video of you "at home", showing your daily routine with him. Keep on hunting and kick on! 🙂

    Hi Monty, another great video!
    I actually liked you being more vocal, really enjoyed your commentary/thoughts on your way around!
    (Not sure if that was still a bit of booze in your system from the night before) 😂.. but you should def do more commentating, it gives the viewer a bit more of your experience.
    Loved the “listen to my leg.. or Not!” 🤣
    Looked like a nice ride!. That was a bit of cheeky grey, and his cheeky grey rider lol.
    You all looked like you were having good fun, (apart from the girl that got dumped at the hedge that wasn’t cut), Tonic took it like the legend he is at his young age. You must be so happy with him 😊
    Please keep the videos coming!
    Happy New Year from Northern Ireland, hope 2023 gives you and Tonic health to enjoy your rides together 🥳🎉

    Only recently found your channel. As an expat from the UK , now living in Canada, following people like you is my way of getting my horse fix. I had horses when I lived in England but not quite your caliber. Tonic is superb! You seem to be a very quiet, sympathetic rider but also expect your mount to give his all.....which he does with pleasure. Really enjoying your content so far.

    Absolutely fabulous. Such a Good Boy. The Irish Draught is a wonderful breed. I had one and he would literally have a go at jumping anything and so safe and steady. Cracking ride and so nice to hear you telling him well done. I’m sure they like to know you are still there!

    Tonic is a super horse, lovely even, steady pace and for a big horse, very nimble on some of those sharp turns at the fences. I'm so glad he wasn't hurt when he was jumped into from behind.

    Poor Tonic. Getting shoved about again. I'm glad you had the ten minute break,to check him all over. But he's a legend in my eyes Monty. Even though he's still very young. He's brilliant. But then he's very well looked after. And he looks after you. Looked like a good day out though. Didn't see your mum. Was she there? Happy New Year 😎😎

Tonic seems to have really come into his own which is wonderful to see; he's confident and scopey and you're both a perfect combo out at the front of the field. Enjoying your content as always. Happy New Year.

    Great to watch, but etiquette and good manners from the field have gone down hill since I last hunted 20years ago. I've seen better manners at Bulgarian gypsy horse races. Although turn- out is a little less smart.

    • @Montgomery360
      @Montgomery360 Рік тому +6

      The crack of the whip is used as an auditory cue to the hounds to stay clear of the hooves of the horses in order to maintain safety for the hounds in the field
