My Dad was a head lad at a racing stables in the 1950's and regularly took the racehorses hunting. As they were fed oats in those days, the horses were incredibly excitable and unpredictable. He absolutely loved it , although he had to wear a bowler hat when he usually just wore a beret.
Oat do NOT excite horses and make them unpredictable! What a load of oldfashioned rubbish! Oats are the most natural horse food next to 24hrs hay. What makes horses "unpredictable" is being lockedup in a box 23 hrs a day.

That was a good one. Some funny moments in that video Monty. Especially when you missed grabbing the loose horse and then you wanted to get footage of your friend jumping and his horse refused 😅😅
I love watching these hunt videos. I had hopes of doing the same with my horse but he has suspensory ligament injury and is currently retired. I am older though so I’m don’t know if this will ever be in the cards for me. Looks fun anyway !
