How do you get the samples?
The analogy you made of self care and how your brain works was so awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Great video thanks for sharing
Agreed- no one wants to be overweight ( I’m one of them)
How did round two go!!!? I love your energy! Can’t wait to see all the new updates!
Wow thank you so much this was so helpful!! Surgery April 3rd 🎉
Congratulations 🍾 how are you feeling? I’m scheduled for 4/16
Please do an update soon when you can! You’re doing so well ❤
I’m getting a vsg on 13/3/24 thank you for your motivational videos. You’ve really helped me. Im really worried about head hunger as I know for me that can be really intense. Hope you’re well xx
I am also in Oregon and having my surgery 1/30/24.
I am 66 and going on this journey as well. No surgery date yet as I have some work to do before that. Over the last several years I have been off/on thinking about this and finally decided the time was now. Thank you fir sharing your process and thoughts. The years may be different but we have a great deal in common! It is both exciting and scary.
You can do this!! It's so worth it!!
Thanks for the update! Thanks for going so in depth. You look great. I really appreciate your channel and videos.
Of course! Glad it helps!
I think you are beautiful! Not "lumpy and bumpy" 😊. I am also on the journey. Pre op appointment to discuss surgery is this Wednesday. June 14. It has been a long journey just getting to this point. By the grace of God there go I. Again tou are dymanic and beautiful!!
Wow just realized this was a year ago. Well I have always been behind the times! 😂
@@judybrooks5711 Thank you!!!! :)
Just wondering how things are going.
Thanks for checking in! I need to do an update!!! I'm doing great. :)
Thank you this talk has helped a lot
I'm so glad!
DO NOT USE THE COLLAGEN PEPTIDES!!! 9 days post op I got a blockage from that exact product because it doesn't completely dissolve and it doesn't give the right amino acids to properly digest protein anyway. Talk to your dietician about specific products because this is DANGEROUS
just found you. Great to see different options than I've seen others post. THANK YOU!
Glad it helped!
I’ve been told protein protein protein Protein first for the rest of your life
Good luck with your op x
Thank you!!
Hey how are you now?❤
I hate state insurance. I'm not sure if they will approve it. I'm wondering how much it would be paying out of pocket
Every place is different but I paid about $15.5k in 2021. I know their prices are higher now.
I’ve had VSG and they want me to have my gallbladder removed because of stones. How’s life without the gallbladder?
It's way better than the alternative! I was in tons of pain and eating was a struggle. I'm SUPER gassy now, but that's my worst lingering symptom and it comes and goes. Generally, no major issues!
@@becomingbex4836 Thank you! I’m experiencing lots of pain, bloating, and yes eating is a challenge. I’m going to look into removal
@@tylermiller673 Hope you feel better soon!!
Omg... I say the same thing! Am I lying to myself ? I struggle every day with the mental side of eating: not enough? Too much?😵💫. Recently had fatty liver..WTH..from what? I fixed it. I've been diagnosed with nocturnal hypoglycemia. It literally happens while I'm sleeping. Last night 2.1!! FN scary shit. I'm glad I'm not alone, but sorry you're going through it. Stay strong and good luck with skin surgery ✨️
It is a struggle! I'm grateful my nighttime sugars are fine but the reactive hypoglycemia is a struggle some days. Especially bc it comes in waves. You are definitely not alone with the mental struggle!!
Oh man - this “am I lying to myself” thing is hitting me so hard.
GIRL. We are on the same page. It's a constant fear/question I ask myself.
You said the first 6-12 hours suck, can you describe what it was like and what was bad about it?
The gas pain, nausea, and just general discomfort were tough for those first few hours. But as soon as I got that first IV, I felt LOADS better. Luckily, I slept most of those first few hours on and off.
Good luck with the move x
All done finally! Thank you
I have been thinking about you for awhile! I have been worried.
I'm doing okay! Thank you!
You have come along way very happy for you, you single? Lol
For what this surgery is ???
Hello, I have started my journey having a revision so I’m in the three months honeymoon stage before I can have the gastric sleeve. I am ready to do the work and excited about seeing the loose skinIf it’s not too personal what was your staring weight and current weight lost? You look amazing congratulations on your journey TFS 💕😊
My stats are listed in the description of the video. I started at 380 and currently about 209 and still losing!
OMG!!!🙀 I love your glasses! Congrats on your journey!
Thank you!!
Thanks for the update and sharing. I had DUodenal switch in November but it’s time for my gallbladder to come out. My surgery went so smooth with that and recover was excellent. The hardest part was literally no food for 3-4 weeks. Just liquids and protein shakes and that was a night mare. But my body felt amazing. Once I started eating solids my body was like ‘with!’ and It seems like last 2 months I don’t like anything I eat. My gastric system can’t handle. My gallbladder was diseased before surgery but unfortunately because I didn’t have stones or visilual issue Dr couldn’t remove it insurance wouldn’t cover. it’s been messed up for at least 4 years and the last year before WLS was horrible so I’m ready.
I totally understand! At this point you have to eat what you can without getting sick! Hope they get it out soon! I felt SO much better afterwards!
Thankyou my surgery is Thursday
That's awesome!!! Congrats!
my surgery day is 7/11/22. Your video has been very helpful. I was nervous but watching your video makes me feel ready. plus a one-stop-shop!? Costco should send you a PR. I'm heading to Costco right now!!! Thank you!! :)
Haha congrats on your upcoming surgery!!! So glad it helps!!
Super thrilled for you!
Thank you! I’m so excited!!!
Thank you for posting so much info! Are you from Eugene Oregon?
I can’t wait to see how your surgery journey progresses!
Thank you! New video coming soon about how the consultation went!
This was SOOO helpful…I’m scheduled for VSG on May 17. My friend and I fly on the 13th. You really helped answer my questions and soothe my fears and nerves.
Yay!! It's going to be so great!! Follow me on Instagram, Tell Blossom my videos helped and let's connect! I love watching other Blossom Patients as they go through the process!
Best of luck and sending good vibes for your journey.
Thanks! I'm 15 months out now :)
❤❤❤ I had to take an Instagram break for the weekend but saw this pop up on my UA-cam notifications and I’m glad I watched. It’s so nice to have someone REAL talk about the struggles. There are a lot of bariatric trainers out there who have not been through the process and while I appreciate their passion and compassion for bariatric patients, it’s not the same as having someone who’s actually actively living in those struggles with you.
100% that's why it matters so much to me!! <3
I’m having surgery in the middle of October and I have been working on my mental health for the last 8 months to prep for this. I would love to train with someone like you because you understand the struggle. I relate to you so much. Thank you for this video ❤
Target is good for bras, I was a 40 DDD, even at that size rgey always had something that fit and held me up and in. You are awesome, and continued success on your journey.
I was at target this weekend. I found a few of their sports bras were great but their regular bras were horrible! lol too much loose skin to contain!
Yeah no - I’ve had the same exact issues with my gallbladder- I actually walked into the ER septic .... and exactly one month later after gallbladder surgery , I had the SAME ATTACK! it felt like I was going through the same thing except this time - I didn’t have a gallbladder so what was the problem? Well ......there was still baby stones lodged in by the bile duct & that’s why I was having another attack . So if you have This happen again , have them ultrasound that area could be lodged in stones that they couldn’t get out the first time due to swelling /inflammation .. 💝🙏🏼
I think whatever it was passed! Luckily it has never happened since. I'm hoping that if it was a stone felt it passed. <3 So sorry you went through the same thing!
Under Armour makes the best supportive sports bras
Oh good to know!! Thank you!
You look amazing well done 👏 ✔ 👍 delighted for you 😀
Thank you!
Great job my RNY Bypass is end of March all d best 👌 👍 😍
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!
congratulations Bex!! Hope you keep on snowboarding and living life to the fullest!
Thank you!! That's definitely the plan ;)
That Snowboard non-scale victory is all the things! Congrats!
Yes! It was SO fun!
Go for it! I hope you share the rest of your journey with us right through surgery. ❤️
Oh 100% I will!!
Holy crap girlfriend! I just watched your video about the process at Blossom. Then I saw this video. Girl you look GREAT!!!
I'm actually down about 160 pounds now! I keep meaning to do another video. :) And thank you!
what did your last 'cheat meal' consist of and how many days before surgery did you have it?
They allowed me to have it the night before. I had Chipotle!
My mom will be getting the sleeve by Blossom next year. Thank you for these updates!
Yay!! that's very exciting!! So glad it helps!
