Perfect work.
Much appreciated.
Suerte
How's that flex cable for Dat0? Any failures after 3 months?
None. If done correctly it will not guve issues.
Good afternoon, please tell me. The indicator lights up constantly white like in your video when you first connect to the network! I tried connecting the battery, but it didn't help. white incl. Where to watch?
Check your soldering. Use multimeter in continuity mode. Check for bridges or shorts. Good luck
Can same motherboard model bios chips be interchanged? I have a bad mobo and a good one but missing disc drive daughterboard from good one
Yes they are compatible
@@Wayayeo would this make the disc drive work again?
Should work fine yes.
@ thanks, will try tomorrow and let you know.
@ changes bios chip, it says disc unsupported? Do i need to reinstall firmware or something?
v1 same points?
Yes.
23:14 no flex cable...aha, topic is wrong.
Almost no flex cables. We’ll do it all with wires next time. Thank you for your comment.
Where do you get these Instinct chips? I found one on Aliexpress, but the review photos look nothing like the real one, kinda looks counterfeit
No flex? But you use a CPU flex😂 No flex means you install mosfets and wire it all up to the cpu
That is true buddy. Almost no flex 💪. Next vid. Thank you for commenting
please can you tell what is the name of your soldering iron and what is the temperature you work with ??
This is a sugon A-9 and 720 f temp.
@Wayayeo thank you very much for your reply ❤️❤️
Thanks for the great video! Did you use leaded solder at what temperature?
We do use leaded solder 720 f.
As somebody who did 12 v1/2 switches successfull and 0 OLED successfull i can tell you it is centurys faster to just use a v1/2 Kit with flex cables. With the oled i struggle with the clk and dot0 with the v1/2 its just nice that it is nice to replicate
Word. There's very little benefit from using OLED chips on V1/V2 consoles. It's all preference.
But, you used a flex cable when you said you won't use it.
We’ll use wiring in the next video on cpu buddy. Thank you for watching. Happy gaming.
@Wayayeo No problem, and thank you for listening to my advice.
Hi there, what camera / microscope are you using? Real clear picture. I have an 4k microscope camera but not very good. thank you
Your work is flawless. Enjoy it can’t wait to send my consoles to you again.. another batch of consoles will be on its way shortly .Nice video by the way.
Much appreciated buddy. Thank you for your kind words.
Do you mind telling me what the diode and capacitor values are? I lost mine and need new ones
Saludos.
Nice job, no firmware to install ????
Thank you. Most RP2040 comes with firmware. Check with supplier.
@@Wayayeo Thanks, where find files to add on microSD card ??
Maybe someone can hint me in the right direction. I installed the chip according to this tutorial, everything worked for like a month without any flaw. One night i just put the console to charge on my desk, next day it wouldn't boot up. Removing sd card still shows the no sd logo, but it doesnt even boot ofw or hekate. Any ideas ?
Check your dat0 adapter. Look at my other tutorials and see how I install this adapter. Good luck.
@@Wayayeothanks for your reply. Dat0 wrong installation would still show no sd logo? Also i measured dat0 and it shows .587
@@Wayayeoi commented on your video, as i have exactly the same chip as shown here.
Excelente contenido y totalmente en español 👍
Gracias amigo.
Thank you very much sir
Hola bro como te contacto?
Wayayeo.org
Great video. Can you show the metal pick or a link to it? I have a hobby lobby not far from me. I would like to pick one up.
They are in the section where you find clay and sorry paint for small scale cars and toys. It’s a set of 4-6 I believe all silver and with different shaped ends.
@Wayayeo Thanks!
I did the soder and my switch boots into stock firmware what do i do?!
Check solder connections, something is not soldered properly or your chip may not be flashed. Good luck
@Wayayeo it's the same flash as a v2 correct?
@Wayayeo muchas gracias
Did you flash the chip or it has a default firmware for OLED?
This depends on seller.

Jajajaja yo hice mi propia instalación y no ando pasando nada mas a tirar hate. Vaya perdedor.
I intalled the RP2040 and the modchip led lights do what they are supposed to do, but I do not get the "No sd card screen" do you know why?
If your switch is not displaying the raspberry logo and booting to OFW then it’s a soldering issue. Check points with multimeter. Also make sure chip is flashed
Amigo, Can you help me? The capacitors on APU sp1 and sp2, can you tell the name of both? And that resistors than you solved that? Thanks for your help.
I often use donors so I don’t check values. I’ll keep in mind and we’ll check values with multimeter on next video.
@Wayayeo thank you so much sr
Hey, thank you for the nice tutorial. I was just having a question: Can you solder on the D point instead of the C point on the cable too? I knock the copper off the C point quite often and was wondering if I can use D as an alternative in that case
You need both d and c points. If the copper on flex is damaged the solder directly to chip. Good luck and happy gaming.
Use a toothpick not that iron tool scraping off stuff like for cleaning off the paste and use isopropyl for the paste cleaning Also deepclean everything with alcohol after every point you solder
Thank you for the tips buddy.
I love this videos, restore a Nintendo is relaxing
Glad you enjoy it!
Head scratcher here. I installed mine and it just boots into the stock firmware. No lights or anything. If I did something wrong, which connection would that be? Or is there just no light because I haven’t flashed the Chip yet?
If your chip is not flashed it won’t show any lights. Try flashing first. If problem persists check your voltage point.
@Wayayeo That would be the 3v contact on the upper right side of the orange flex cable after folding it over? I know I had trouble with the B connection, but am kinda sure I got that secured. I've done a fair share (like-... a little over a year's worth?) of soldering jobs, but this is my first microsoldering job, so it waaaas stressful and kinda crazy. 🤣
Que tipo de cable puedo usar ?
38 awg
What type of microscope are you using and also solder tip?
Lyca
Hot air temp?
700 f, distance and air flow also makes a difference. I use 20% airflow.
I should hot kiss you on the mouth, I managed to fix mine using your video as a guide thank you so much
thanks for your efforts, but lad... why are you in such a RUSH!!!!!??? LOL CALM DOWN!!! 😂😂😂 by the way i just installed it the way that you did, i didn't dare to do the Kamikaze! i just destroyed another one...
That’s funny 😄. Thank you for your comment.
@Wayayeo exelente gracias 🫂
Es un placer. Suerte 👍
You are amazing man, thanks for sharing you knowledge
I appreciate that! Thank you for the feedback
Gracias
what is this microscop name?
I have a few. If you’re looking for a recommendation. Look into the brand Lyca.
Quick question, on the MvOLv6 3.3v point why have you only tapped in one side and not the other?
The other is simply fur support or ground. Ground is in other points it’s unnecessary but you can solder both if you’d like makes no difference.
Hola, que tipo de cable estás usando?
Saludos. Es “single core 36 awg”.
Is there a reason you dont solder SP2? 9:44
These point are there for support. Soldering one is good enough, It’s not going anywhere. Happy Gaming.
this was beautiful, you made it look so easy
BUEN VIDEO ¡
