I learned something new from your video which is a new soldering point for Ground. I always solder to the component on the right of picofly. Soldering it straight on USB C connector looks way easier.
this video makes it look so easy that im getting the courage to do it too... how do you get your solder to melt so well? mine never melts good even with flux....
So some videos has some flex cable instead of needing to do all those mini wirings ? Or is that for v1 only? What's the best mod chip nowadays for oled ?
I find this chip really complicated, or maybe I'm just used to the Instinct V6 that looks way easier than this. It comes with 3 flex that are used instead of direct wiring like this one
The PicoFly, HwFly, and Xecuter are all RP2040 chips meaning they are Raspberry pi powered dual core arm based processor designed to be capable of flashing hardware that is connected via GPIO protocol . The waveshare cost $3.99
Who makes it ? The term RP2040 indicates it is a dual core arm based processor by Raspberry pi. In the case of the one in the video, RP2040 -Zero by waveshare, zero is the designation used to indicate the smallest chip set model, but there are multiple manufacturers for the RP2040 as it is popular amongst drone enthusiasts and support varies .

Very impressive. Amazing job!

Use either 350-400 temps on your soldering iron. Those temps worked perfectly for me

Amazing job. What is the millimiter of the wire you used?
Thank you. Your comment is very much appreciated. 38 awg wire used.
what kind of wire did you use? I want to make sure I get skinny wire (small diameter) and can carry the necessary current.
38 awg works perfectly.
Here you left out reflowing the mm. For the d point. Right ?
Nice job ! You are bridging the 3rd and 4th pins on the cpu lead correct ? How are you ...oh there's an arrow on the connector great .
Can you link where you bought it from?
What temperature hot air (celcius) did you use to remove the buttons and usbc port from the picofly?
I think 400
350 is ok.
360 👍
could you just use regular through-hole 470 resistors?
how similiar would the process be for a switch lite?
Great work. Is that a genuine JBC knife tip?
i got oled switch with this modchip can I normally update OFW via ota?

Direct wiring is way
more fun
Whats your soldering tip? is it some kind of knife tip or flathead? thank you
Looks like a fillet soldering tip where you can store the soldering tin - often used to solder more than one piece at a time
On the mod can we start normal system without mod too?
Yes
I can get my hands on a picofly board but no idea where I can find a professional who would be able to install it in my area
Where do you live?
Do you have the sketch or code that it's running?
the nand points, are the same for switch v1 and v2?
Yes
Is this basically same process for V1 with the V1 flat cable?
Yes it is.
It really works as you installed, I did it differently in a V2 and it didn't work for me
Hi
Can you get me some information about your soldering iron?

Is there a link to the resistors
can i get the wire details
I was also wondering the wire specifications.
38 awg works perfectly.
Hi. If I only want emummcc do I still need the resistors on the chip? Thanks.
Resistors are necessary for chip to work properly.
@@Wayayeo ok, thank you!
Are you located in San Diego Can you do my Nintendo switch v2 for me
i desodered the chips taking theystrip off do you know where to find replacment
What chips are you referring to?
What is awg wire size u using? thanks!
38 awg.
Is it any good?
I'm confused to ether go with PicoFly or Hwfly or Xecuter

can i know what flux did you use?
Amtech.
What is the purpose of adding that substance at 11:15
That’s thermal paste. It’s to allow heat distribution from the CPU to the metal shielding to help keep the CPU cool.

@@matthewshafer9545 also Raspberry pi did it, I found it on the official website. It is just a smallest edition of the rp2040 zero
Uploading a video later today on the install of a tiny.
@@Wayayeo thanks
@@Wayayeothe video?
v1 same points?
Yes.
Can i got the diagram for this install? Please
Look on GitHub. All diagrams are there.
