Desoldered my first one of these today using your video as a guide. No pads got ripped either! Successful pull! It seemed like it took forever heating from the bottom like this, i was afraid i was gonna damage one of those diodes on the bottom. What temp is your air set at? Thank you for this video btw. Outstanding work!
It all depends on the solder you use and what temperature your heat gun is set to. Do some testing first and start at 700F 30 % air. Good luck on your repair.
Do you mind telling me what the diode and capacitor values are? I lost mine and need new ones
love your vids! keep at it. Are you heating the board from both top and bottom when taking off the port with lead free solder that factory puts on?
Correct. Heat from both sides fir about a min or so depending on the temp.
What temperature do you use

Thank you @jrcogburn
what does the flux do and how do you use it on the connectors?
Can I use just a regular heat gun? I have just a 1000 watt heat gun. Not sure if you're using something more powerful than that.
Your heat-gun should work fine just make sure to apply heat to that area only and use heat resistant tape around the area if possible. Good luck.
How come your anti-heat tape doesn't work? me my yellow melting tape, where did you buy it? mine may be of poor quality
I get at a small local store. Try Amazon, I have ran across bad quality as well. Try different vendors until you get a good one. Good luck.
How long does it take for the solder to melt?

@@Wayayeo I’ve been using the hot air blower for a while and it won’t release from the board.
You need a rework station. Get an inexpensive one on eBay. I believe yihua makes one for around $60
How much do you charge To fix an HDMI port to a PlayStation 5

700 f works for me. It really depends in your equipment. Get to know your tools.

and that cost sir 100$
Whats the trick
