Got a Purolator Boss for a Ford EcoSport 2.0 duratec. Gonna use 5W-30 Meijer brand synthetic. Highline Warren LLC. Says 5W-20, but with the quick fuel dilution and short tripping, it's getting the 30. Be sure to always shut your start-stop off every time. Makes fuel dilution way worse. Dude on BITOG forum runs his EcoSport on 5W and 10W-30. 10W-30 come spring. I looked into the FL400S (a longer version). There's two versions, I guess. Has a higher bypass pressure, so I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not. It definitely has the room, though. Only has 9,800 miles. Got 75W-90 and 75W-140 Valvoline synthetic for the PTU. It takes 75W-85 Motorcraft, but I'm not gonna go with that. Thinking about a quarter of it being the 140 in the PTU, and half 140 in the rear diff, as 80W-90 conventional is actually a thicker CST of viscosity. After that, I figure the driveline fluids will be good to go for a long time. I hope a Purolator Boss is good! Currently, a Mobil 1 is in it. Seems to do well, but seeing them cut open here on YT, they have some messy glued seams. Idk.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the cable on drivers side to extend long enough to connect, mine is not reaching after connecting the passenger side and attaching the cables to the frame. Thanks

I get no hot air whatsoever, only cold air , its not leaking anywhere, im left with , replacing thermostat, doing a complete flush and replace coolant, or replace heater core?

I would have left the vent. Almost all lights have vents.

Problem is, the reflector(s) in this series of Civics (9th Get) are NOT designed to accurately project the light generated by LEDs - no matter the manufacturer. The halogen bulbs are, in fact, a POINT SOURCE generator of light and the OEM reflectors are designed for these types of bulbs... NOT NEW LED REPLACEMENTS. Yes, you will see a noticeable increase in light output with LEDs, but the light will not be directed in the correct location necessary for driving or, for that matter, to apply with applicable DOT and state lighting regulations.

I started using it in my 2006 2.4 Stratus with 230,000 miles. Noticed it got quieter and runs a lot smoother. Going to change the filter between 500-750 miles as a precaution since others reported it does a good job at cleaning but might clog the filter before 3-5k oil change when beginning to use this oil.

If you got gunk in your motor a good oil filter is the least of your worries. Do your maintenance and your motor wont ever have gunk in it.

The restore and protect is also designed to slowly remove debris so it doesn't plug up the filter too fast, but I wouldn't run more than 4k on a oil change with it on the first go.

Been running this oil in a 22 Colorado and 24 Corolla. New engines and I want them to stay as clean as possible. The first thing I noticed was how much quieter both engines ran. My OCI is each 4 months. I know, but I want to take care of my investments, because both vehicles need to run for the rest of my life ;-)

I use K&n for all my mofified motors. Some of those filters actually contrict flow..

Here soon I'm going to be doing a filter comparison video. It's going to be using the Motorcraft FL-1995A and equivalents, but I might do the FL-820S in another video. Going to compare the Motorcraft to 8 or 9 other filters.

STP XL (gold box) filters are made by Mobil1, just rebranded.

Would yall say first oil change with RP for 3k is proper and then the rest of 3 RP oil changes should occur at 5K?

I use wix XP filters. Anyway, I've been using this oil too. What I've noticed is with other brands my oil gets dark really quickly. Within 500 miles. I'm at 2,000 miles now on VRP and my oil is still clean. Very odd, you'd think it would be really dirty. 71,000 miles, honda 1.5t 2019 coupe.

I had a P1406 code on my 00 F150 4.6L. Replaced the DPFE sensor and thought all was good but now I'm getting a P1400 code. Is my new sensor faulty?
