Please consider a Super Thanks! I answer almost 100% of all questions and messages from my viewers and a Super Thanks will be greatly appreciated.
I decided to help others after a dealership in California took advantage of my mother during a repair recall.
Most times you can drive home & research your problem after getting a repair estimate & Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Modern vehicles have a "limp-home" mode that prevents you from being stranded. This helps you steer away from unnecessary and expensive repairs and gives you a basis from which to negotiate.
"Driving Intelligence" is self learning through study & asking questions to solve your automotive problems. I've been a "do-it-yourselfer" for decades and can perform almost all repair and maintenance activities once I diagnose the issue, do PROPER RESEARCH & plan the activity using manuals, internet, and logic. I've made mistakes so you don't have to.

Dear Driver of INTELLIGENCE, I have a 2000 f250 7.3 XL. The mirrors had no function at all. So I bought After market Yitamotor mirrors compatible with XLT model Ford. This Mirror has 7 wires coming out of it and I have determined that the YELLOw White and Orange are for the motor adjustment. :( im lost, what and how to hook up this switch to correct pins? Switch has 8 pins but I only have 3 wires. Thank you for your reply if you had enough patience to read this. Regards, Electrical Idiot :)
Hi, are you trying to add power mirrors to a truck what was not originally equipped with power mirrors? Your 3 wires that control motor function will also need power and ground, so I'm a little confused about all the extra wires. I need to look at the wiring diagrams and won't be able to do that for a couple of weeks.
@DrivingIntelligence You are Awesome. Yes the XL is not equipped with any power, no lights or functions
There are 7 wires. 1 for heated mirrors, 1 for turn and 1 for running lights. Then a black for ground. This, then leaves 3 😁
If I buy a oem switch for mirror adjustment. How to hook up, and to what pins 📌 inside switch. Thank you so much for your time!
This video proved nothing. Valvoline marketing is making them dough!
Dude, walk away from your liquor bottle, the video wasn’t made to prove anything. You clearly were too drunk watching my vid, or you didn’t watch it.
Buff Barnaby I used it and it rebuilt my engine while I drove!
If you think oil rebuilds an engine you need to always use a professional mechanic.

Good luck! Should work!
@@DrivingIntelligence all has gone well. thanks, especially since it's starting to rain more!
How is it chattering without it spinning?
The sound is for demonstration, not real time
@ oh I see lol. From your experience with Ford or vehicles for that matter what do you think about changing diff and transmission fluid on a high mileage vehicle? 150k plus I’m asking because of that myth that on a high mileage vehicle changing those fluids could make them not work or ruin them. The old fluid was what was making them keep running
@@swishajay lol, are you talking about the transmission or the rear diff? Transmission is iffy at 150k miles if never been changed before. The clutch material is suspended in the fluid and helps the clutch packs work. The rear diff? I increased the viscosity very slightly to take into considering bearing wear. I'd never go from 5w20 to a 50 weight oil or even a 40 weight. 5w20 to 5w30 is a good change.
@@DrivingIntelligence both. I have a 2013 f150 Ecoboost with 130k and idk if the trans fluid ever been changed the manual says at 150k change the fluid but you know manuals. I was thinking it should be fine with a drain and fill and maybe filter change too because the system holds about 13qts a drain and fill only replaces about 5 of the 13. Was just wondering about your thoughts on both. As for diff idk if it’s been changed before but I’m gonna replace it with ford 90w120 plus lsd additive
I work in the oil industry as a lubricant specialist, and there is something people need to know about this oil. It is running a higher than average detergent package which is why it is able to clean the carbon from engines better than your typical full synthetic oil. However, the reason you don't see high detergent packages in common oils is due to seal degradation. These detergents can dry out and corrode seals and non-metallic gaskets quite a bit. If you run this oil to clean out an engine for a couple of rounds that is ok, but I'd highly recommend going back to a standard full synthetic oil afterwards. Preferably use a high mileage full synthetic with seal conditioner and seal swell.
Bs
@ Every full synthetic oil is a mixture of Group III base stock + additive pack. The definition of a full synthetic oil is any combination of Group III, Group IV, and Group V. Group IVs are PAO's and are very rarely added into oil because they are so expensive. I believe racing oils like Motul do have a combination of PAO and Group IIIs, but the real kicker here when it comes to cleaning is the additive packs. There is only one company that not only creates their own Group III base stock, but also owns their own additive company and that is Chevron. Chevron owns Oronite while everyone else buys their formulations from other additive companies. So going back to what you said about how they said they do not have any extra additives; If that was the case, then it wouldn't perform differently than other oils. Valvoline was most likely approached from their additive vendor and they said "hey we have this formulation that has done a really kick ass job at cleaning carbon out of engines." They said great, and they are now marketing it because these companies are looking to get a leg up in the PCMO sector at every turn. However, there are a few problems here which is why I brought up that point earlier. One, if this product is truly stripping off the carbon quickly and I've heard many cases of clogged oil filters, then they should be recommending early change intervals. Two, if this product is stripping that carbon off, it is using a lot of detergents and those detergents will 100% degrade seals and gaskets over time. I am planning on using this product a few times to clean out my engine and then get back to Chevron PRODS. I will also say this, and this is very important. If you buy a car new and have used full synthetic since it was bought, you don't need this product! Full Synthetics with base additives do a fantastic job already at keeping carbon at bay which is why every company doesn't add a ton of it.
Thank you Captain Obvious !
Lol
Many thanks....probably a Chinese soleniod..
glad you liked it, and as far as Chinese made is concerned, likely sad and true

I have the same car and the damage is very similar but not as bad as the DeVille in your video. I want to find out how and IF I can fix the damage without having to go through my insurance. Activate the extent of the damage is literally just the bumper cover and the headlights the grill and radiator are all fine and untouched. So it's just cosmetic damage but I've never fixed a car on my own so I don't know what to do.
good request, unfortunately, I'm going to send it to the junkyard. Squirrels got into the wiring harness. A shame because this is a beautiful car with a great engine. I want to do a few videos pulling parts off the car like the gauge cluster and the tail lights. I won't be able to do repairs to the front end, sorry. Let me know specifically what you want to know about the repair. Maybe I can make a video in the junkyard showing the bumper sub assemblies. And any other vids on the Deville? ua-cam.com/video/4XMF3WxGjJg/v-deo.htmlsi=_hy-ZXk6CYzmYE68
The Cummins spec Valvoline Premium Blue Restore has far more robust concentration of esters & why if cost $80+ a gal. but can only be purchased thru an authorised Cummins dealer. It worked so well for warranty claims to free ring packs, they reformulated it for retail market since the other formula was exclusive for Cummins.
I've thought about getting several quarts of this oil. Hard to find a local dealer
I still change my oil every 3,000 miles, using cheap Halvoline oil and Supertech filter from Wal-mart. The interior of the Pentastar 3.6 still looks great at 164,000 miles. I also run an Edelbrock supercharger.
Thanks for sharing
Nice. This was one of the first things I did with the Lariat Scab was upgrade the LED. Yes those tabs easily break! I have some tow mirrors that I haven't modified yet for a newer style blinker. My water pump was hydrolyzed and missing its rotor fins. I replaced the water pump, oil pump and cam phasers and chain before realizing I had an exhaust leak into the coolant. Now I have to tear back into it and measure the heads for "flatness" to see if i can do gaskets without a mill. Aluminum is great until it gets hot and warps. Wish me luck!
2001 F150 Lariat 4x4 SCAB 5.4 2v Triton from an '04. (I didn't have plug problems BTW)
I did have the classic for crossover leak on intake now a Dorman, make sure to plug your IAC back in LOL
wow, sorry you need to redo some work. I have an aluminum intake from a '99 5.4 I need to finish porting and polishing and painting before I install. I'm fortunate not to have a crossover leak at 262,000 miles. knock on wood!
That was awesome, as always. Thank you, I 2003 a HD 100th adversity I have a hole lot from your video thank you
Glad my videos help! Please share
Very clever
Thank you 🙏
Great idea

That truck is beautiful. Can that grease be used on any electrical connection that you don’t want corrosion on?
Thank you, and yes! It’s good for any electrical connection, including battery connections, spark plugs, electrical connections on a boat, etc. good stuff
That is a sweet truck. Can’t believe Ford put a lower level stereo in that beauty.
What if you changed the switch what else could it be
Are you indicating you changed the switch and the wipers still operate while the key is out of the ignition?
Awesome, looks pretty simple. Ive got a 98 explorer 5.0 with a 4r70w, has a hard shift from 1-2 so im thinking replacing that 1-2 accumulator, along with new filter and fluid should fix it. Im gonna order the parts here soon. Thanks!
Good call, the spring(s) in the 1-2 accumulator have a tendency to brake in the 4R70W
Thank you for pointing this out! Seen this multiple times over the years on my Pull-a-Part trips
junk yards can be a very dangerous place, I can't believe people get under vehicles that are propped up on old wheels.
i have a 91 chevy that has a lot of play in it. i was thinking about readjusting the box. but it crossed my mind that it really shouldn't be out of adjustment unless the nut came loose. i'm going to start with the "rag joint" replace it. and then go see about alignment and so on. the box will be the last thing. and will probably replace it with a red cap. instead of adjusting a 30 year old box. IDK. but it seems to me that of the box needs readjusting, there must be a problem with it. thoughts?
I've heard both sides, if the box is loose, replace it, and with wear, some steering accuracy can be achieved with a 1/4 turn. Doesn't hurt to try, but I would go the path your going first, make sure all suspension components are up to snuff. I ended up with much better steering control with a 1/4 turn tighter after replacing ball joints, tie rods, control arm bushings, etc.
