I was wondering why some reactions to this don't get blocked and yours did. It might be the version or copy you are using. That site might have some copyright interests in that 4K version, while the other version, not the 4K or whatever else, is why it has happened.

This is a very loose comparison, but Radiohead is almost the Pink Floyd of their generation. They skirt a fine line between Popular music and respected musicians and composers. Without a doubt one of the top 50 greatest Bands of all time.

Lol, I think Geoff grabbed Nikki by the soul there. 😆 Ace, I don’t recall if you’ve done Geoff’s solo cover of “Jack’s Lament” from “Nightmare Before Christmas”, but if Nikki is a fan of that movie, she needs to hear Geoff’s take on that song. And his last solo drop was “You Don’t Mess Around With Jim”. Very worth a listen.

Adrian mabon is the director for the movie Pink Floyd live in Pompeii. He came up with the idea when he forgot his passport at Pompeii at the arena and had to go back and get it. He came back to the arena and found his passport and got the idea like one of those light bulbs going off of doing a concert in the theater with the Pink Floyd guys. The reason there is nobody in the audience is because the idea that Adrian maybin pitched to the Floyd guys was the total absence of people completely opposite of giant concerts like Woodstock!

3 of the 4 guys seen in Pompeii performed on the 1994 Pulse Live collection (Wright, Mason, and Gilmour). Roger Waters left Pink Floyd around 1985.

I also wondered about electricity. Generators would have made too much noise and would be heard in the recordings. I read years ago that Pink Floyd had special permission to arrange power cables from a power source not too far from the amphitheater.

That’s a tough choice, so I am not going to make it. I really enjoy Pink Floyd’s music- studio - live- older - newer.

Okay, a couple of things about this movie. There was the original release, which consisted of all the songs recorded at Pompeii, and (I'm not sure, as I never saw THIS version), may have included some of the behind the scenes stuff. Then they recorded some stuff later on, when they were doing tracks for the Dark Side of the Moon. This was added to the movie, at a later date (probably 74), and THAT is the version I have always seen. And that is also why you will always hear different release dates, because it was actually released twice.. Roger Waters is playing bass. Richard Wright is doing all the keyboards. The fact that they were allowed to play in an excavated, actual Roman theatre is incredible. Also explains why there is no audience. I always like to think that the spirits of all those poor souls that lost their lives so long ago, are who the show is for.... At this time, early 70's, a couple of movies had come out of live concerts, with some back stage footage, so that was another reason Pink Floyd did a 'live' show movie with no audience! I bought the dvd and found out that they had to use physical wires to connect to the amount of electricity they needed. All those bubbling, boiling mud pools are actually near Mt. Vesuvius, which is indeed the volcano that buried Pompeii way back when.

We really didn't have "green screen" back in 1971. It was actually hand cut from film and lay it over other film. Also, the film "Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii" was a movie like film. This song is merely a part of it. Over the course of the film you see the band play their instruments quite a bit. Just trying to point out that this was not a music video. This movie, much like many of their albums, were meant to consumed as one piece of art. Not broken up into commercial sized bits.

Breve cenno storico all'antica Pompei romana. Nel 79 Dopo Cristo il vulcano Vesuvio distrusse la città molto fiorente e ricca insieme alla vicina ERCOLANO e dintorni. La lava e la cenere in poco tempo sorprese gli abitanti della città e pochissimi riuscirono a salvarsi. Rimase seppellita quasi interamente dalla cenere per secoli quando poi gli scavi archeologici la riportano alla luce completamente trovando tanti abitanti sepolti ed integri nella sagoma dei loro corpi nella stessa posizione in cui trovarono la morte e con case e ville con meravigliosi affreschi È un luogo estremamente suggestivo che merita una visita e nell'antico anfiteatro si trova pure un angolo con una piccola esposizione che ricorda il Live dei Pink Floyd nell'ottobre 1971dove in pochi addetti ai lavori assistettero alla loro performance senza pubblico . All'epoca del Live non c'era energia elettrica e allora organizzarono un generatore e un lungo cavo che arrivava a qualche chilometro al municipio del paese moderno.

Nel 2016 solo DAVID GILMOUR il chitarrista e cantante della band ha tenuto un memorabile concerto a Pompei come solista. I Pink Floyd si sono sciolti da tempo. L'ultimo concerto è stato una reunion con Roger Waters il bassista durante un'evento benefico il 2 luglio 2005 a Londra...un breve concerto di circa 26 minuti . Nel video del live at Pompeii i 4 membri passeggiano nella zona vulcanica attiva dei Campi Flegrei distante qualche chilometro da Pompei e da Napoli.

Todrick Hall grew up in Arlington, Texas, as did Kirstin, Mitch, and Scott, though Todrick is six or seven years older than the trio. But because of this, Todrick and the trio were friends. There's a fairly complete Wikipedia article about Todrick, which you can find here: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Todrick_Hall Note that the title of the video is "Todrick Hall - The Wizard of Ahhhs (ft. Pentatonix)." That's because this was Todrick's project from beginning to end; he just talked #Pentatonix into appearing in it. Todrick is a huge fan of _The Wizard of Oz_ (some people might say he's obsessed with it). The little dog Kirstin is holding in the first scene was Todrick's dog, and its name actually was Toto. Todrick published this to his UA-cam channel just two months after Kirstin's twenty-first birthday. At the time, Pentatonix's publisher was Madison Gate; they hadn't even recorded "Daft Punk" (their first Grammy winner) yet. The song choices were Todrick Hall's, though I suspect Pentatonix did the arranging. The costumes were rented from a costume company. Personally, I'm impressed that they had a Lollipop Guild costume available for someone who's 6'4" tall. Yes, once Dorothy arrives in Ahhhs, Kevin is playing Toto - they needed him to have a reason to be in every scene, and they were running out of characters. Note that for a dog, Toto sure seems to be doing a lot of singing. Kirstin played ALL the female characters, Dorothy, Glinda the Good Witch, and the Wicked Witch of the West Side. But because Dorothy also needed to be in the scenes with both witches they arranged it so that in those scenes Dorothy would be seen only from behind. That way she could be played by a stand-in. The cup song is named "The Cup Song." Personally, I'd like to know who was performing it. Note that The Scarecrow wants a brain, and Scott sings "Do you think about me still?"; the Tin Man wants a heart, and Mitch sings about needing time to heal the holes in his heart; and the Cowardly Lion wants courage, so Avi sings about how he can't be tamed, covering up the cowardice with bravado. BTW, did you notice the gold bricks scattered on the road behind Avi? I have read that Kirstie's twin sister was the stand in during the scenes where two of her characters were on screen simultaneously.

Geoff Castellucci has his own channel where he sings solo with instruments. Clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. Voiceplay does everything themselves as they are independent. Except intricate makeup, cameras and audio mixing. Geoff and Layne usually do the arrangements with Eli doing a few here and there.... Eleanor Rigby, Creep, Black Hole Sun. Layne arranged this one. He did the CGI on Geoff's eyes. In Geoff's videos he and his wife Kathy do everything except intricate makeup, sometimes camera depending on the video and location and audio mixing.

I recomend the movie Purple Rain to you…….I dont now how many time I have seen it. Its georgeus …….so enjoy 💜💜💜🌟

"Hellfire" is certainly one of the darkest villain songs that Disney ever had in a "children's" movie - probably because the subject matter is so realistic, not kind of out-there like a lot of Disney villain song have to be because of the movie theme.
