    The song that won them a Grammy. Yeah this is an older video, it was posted in late 2012, the album it came from (The Strange Case Of...) was released earlier that year.
    As for the guitars, Lzzy plays Gibson Explorers, Joe plays Gibson SG's. Lzzy is the first ever female ambassador for Gibson guitars.
    And Yes, Lzzy has done a ton of collaborations, last year she featured on Daughtry's cover of Journey's "Separate Ways". And just recently she featured on a song called "Mercy" by "The Native Howl"

      This song is Grammy worthy for sure. I didn't know Daughtry was still around. I remember the first two albums they did and I never heard anything about them after that.

    Vocal cord training is an important part of Lzzy's day to day life. You can manipulate and work on it. You can also do permanent damage if you are not careful.

    Lzzy’s hair is longer now, after being short for a time. I saw her last year and the year before, and without a doubt she hits a lot of notes and can scream I’d say even more than this. It’s something totally different hearing her in person, it’s impressive.

    There are several techniques that you can use to add this kind of vocal fry without hurting yourself... She's very versed on that... and any professional singer who does that must learn or their voice won't last for long...

    Her break in vocals were a choice! It wasn't her struggling to hit the notes. She's actually gotten way better in recent years at protecting her voice with the vocal tricks she does - her voice went through a change around 2014 and she adjusted for it. She can hit high notes super clearly if she wants to - "Raise Your Horns" was the ballad off of their most recent album and shows that incredibly well. It's one of my favorite vocals that Lzzy has out to-date I think. (I don't blame you for getting that impression, a lot of people wonder about it, but from everything I've seen she is incredibly careful not to do anything that will mess with her voice)
    Edit: there's very safe ways to scream and sing like this! But it takes a LOT of technical ability and practice and it's also very easy to hurt yourself in the process. so basically - if you want to sing like this, yes, please get a coach or some kind of professional to help, or be extremely careful and don't try to blast out full volume right from the start. XD

      Always amazes me how little people know about the human voice. Lzzy is well trained and takes great care of her voice. Her clean and moments of harsh distortion are always done safely

      @@paulriddle7818 Like I said, I don't blame them for wondering! A lot of singers don't do it safely and quite a few have damaged their voices permanently because of it, unfortunately. Even singers who don't go to extremes like she does have seen an impact from doing constant live performances and putting constant strain on their voices. I'm glad she's found a method that works for her, though, because with how often she performs she definitely needed to! It's definitely not something I know how to do myself (I've just seen vocalists talk about the coaching).

    • @paulriddle7818
      @paulriddle7818 Місяць тому

      @bulletsandbracelets4140 But it comes off as the typical "if they use any distortion it's bad for their voice" crowd "we" tend to hear from people who tend to prefer a lighter sound to put it delicately.

    yeah i agree with you there.izzy isnt always able to reach her notes its sometimes just plain false as well. granded if you belt and growl day in day out,that,thats gotta fuck up ya voice eventually. but if she hits the nail on its head,giving you a holy shit feeling cuz she can sing no doub about that. you should google on youtube, halestorm's ''fromiliar taste of poisen'' one of them was set in frankfurt germany. the most recent one is bloody mental. not just able to fully pull it on but also hitting the screamy notes perfect!
