Dulcineasdiarycontinued - Thank you to all the viewers that viewed one or more of my 15 videos I uploaded onto my UA-cam channel of the opening day of the new Metro line extension between Chatswood & Sydenham. I think I roughly totalled the number of views and it came to well over 500 . Most vlogers only uploaded one major video with a lot of editing, I like to do things differently zero editing and breaking up my experiences on the day with lots of videos of varying lengths. If you see an emoji highlighted video in the title it means it was one of my favourite(s) or it could have been a fail video. Final serious video of my day riding the new Metroline extension on opening day. I might be wrong about some of the features I pointed out around the trains and stations so apologies.
So heading back to Chatswood now on the Metro.
So highlights of the new Metro Station Opening Day
1. The enthusiastic crowds clapping , chatting and cheering at every station upon arrival on the first train between Tallawong and Sydenham. Being surrounded by other transporters is so much fun.
2. Missing out on but then running around and actually finding and obtaining one of the badges at Waterloo Metro Station for riding the Metro on opening day.
3. Visiting all the new Metro stations that I missed out on attending open days for or didn't have one.
4. Getting a chance to stand at the very front of and very back of the Metro train to get some really good footage of the tunnels and tracks the Metro was travelling through and along - "feel the speed"
5. Going beyond my '"post code snob" suburbs and exploring.
6. Getting from Chatswood to the city in half the time the normal train does from Chatswood ( with similar number of station stops!)
7. Not actually finding the USB charging ports at the very front and very back carriages. Locked up inside the consoles I assume? Just as well. Therefore could not test them out or confirm the type was USB A. Maybe there is a safety reason - don't want to get zapped by plugging my phone or power bank accidentally staring a lithium battery fire into it via my own USB cables ( or would they have their own as back up under the consoles?). Don't want to bring the whole Metro system down by draining their possibly delicate power supply either do we???? or cause a cyber security incident re never charge your digital devices directly using a USB "data transfer" charging cable plugged into a rabdom USB port you never know what's or who is on the other side literally whenever possible use a power point! ( refer stories on airport usb charging ports).
