Finally Metroline Extension Opening Day First Train Chatswood Towards Sydenham Part 9 - 19th Aug 24

Dulcineasdiarycontinued - Victoria Cross Station . Missed tge community open day for this station therefore had to alight and orientate myself with it.
Why did the government not plan for an under pass or overpass pedestrian path to link North Sydney Station to Victoria Coss Metro Station? I initially thought that it was because the 2 stations are too far apart like St Leonards and Cross Nest however when pointed out to me by a Metro staff member that North Sydney Station was just down the street, it looked much further on the map of North Sydney then it actually is. That's because to get to North Sydney Station you can walk through the partly underground retail shopping precinct Greenwood Plaza and there is more then one entrance to the Station. The other one is on or near Blues Street down the other end. Another reason why Victoria Cross Station should be linked by an underground pedestrian walkway via Greenwood to North Sydney Station - the problem would be similar to Wynyard Station linking up to the Hunter Connection where the retail centre is not open on Sundays and entrances/exits would need to be shut off somehow from the Station areas.
All eyes are on this afternoon's peak hour and how the Metro will be able to handle the number of commuters but this morning went without a glitch.
