apologies the titles on my videos are not saving for some reason. This interactive activity is called "Viv & Friends." It is an interactive demonstration of how AI applications could be used in the health industry. The images that appear are simulation of dementia patients and their view of the world with their condition. You speak into a microphone eg ask the AI simulated Avatar questions and they will respond to you. Note the lack of eye contact and movement. After spending time observing the image and it's interaction you do get a sense that the person is there but there is no body home which is probably very close to how a person with dementia would feel. It's like asking a very early version of Siri question when all you would get is " I'm sorry but I did not understand that" with limited vocabulary or playing the first version of the text based game Zork, where answers to questions bounced back due to the limited amount of information stored in it's "memory" database.
