Automate and WiFi Control Your Plantation Blinds for 40$
i dont have octopi.txt on my pc ...
So the very first step in Home Assistant is to go to the File Editor, of which one does not have on a fresh install. Off to the next rabbit hole to find how to add the file editor.
found you for one tutorial. I'm not subscribing for that. This is also outdated as Wyze no longer gives the rtsp firmware.
Thanks for this, so this is for changing the IP address in DuckDNS so if your ISP changes your external IP, its till finds its way to you when you go to the duckdns domain etc. But how do you sign with a certificate the DuckDNS domain on your pi and have it recertify before it expires? I have seen things with Certbot and Lets Encrypt etc, but I just cant get things working as I need for what I am doing. Do you have a video on that?
Anyone know where we can get the firmware since it was yanked off the Wyze page?
Hi , I need your help about fraud bot clicks on adwords , any idea will be welcome, in the last weeks we get 90% fraud clicks ,
Hi si Any link for esphome flasher ?
All these steps are missing in the home app, useless
On trying to start the Bridge I get and error that port 8888 is in use. What port number to I change it to?
will it work on any esp8266 or only the one you have
Merci pour cette video, cerst ce que je cherchais 😉😉
Pretty solid yiou added alu strip for a spot most people never even see. Was that done preventing dust and dirt to get to the lights?
Thank you
Remove the word, "easy" from the title
hi, does this mean once i have the domain setup i can access the apache webserver i configured on my pi? if yes then how should i mention the port if i run apache on say port 8080
Using the ffmpeg camera is so much easier. No docker containers required, then you can also add motion detection easily.
How do you do this without flooding your network? I’ve tried this but as soon as I get the Wyze cam configured my network slows down significantly
@@Bradley-Thomsen I use a different router on a different Wi-Fi channel for my cameras. Even then, my video streams are glitchy.
Thanks easy and works great for openwebrx
This is so awesome! Just a quick one, theoretically speaking, do you need to still break the track on the motor's PCB if you were just to unsolder the wire from the PCB? Is the track on the motor PCB linking anything together?
Yours was the most helpful thank you!😊
Thanks, just joined your channel as I want to learn HA
when running the command to flash my ESP32, I get esptool.py is not recognized.... I successfully installed Python (Windows10) - but you dont mention anything about esptool (install etc)?
How did you find the Entity id for your lights?
I have a lot of blobbing. How do I fix it? I have an Ender 2 Pro.
I have to sudo most of the commands because I don't have access and then it fails when I do ./duck.sh I get Failed to create the file after it counts down 5 seconds. UGH!
😮
If you are a beginning find a beginner guide. This presumes you have grasp of knowledge. ie No beginner will know about glossed over command :wq!
do i need to open a port on my router?
I am no wiser. I want to just turn my smart plug on and off but no-one can tell me how. When the hell do you want to turn off your Wi-Fi for gods sake!!! What a stupid example. So to turn off a smart plug you have to download some bloatware, create a universe sized mind map and them somehow figure out how to write it to a nfc tag. Jeez how simple is that dudes? Everyone uploading on UA-cam wants to open a url or turn off their phone. Any practical application is neatly side stepped
Sorry for my English (I'm using Google Translate). First: Thanks for your video, I managed to configure it here. Second: Is there a way to make Alexa change the wled presets? Thanks for your video, I managed to configure it here.
*Say that I have a domain from GoDaddy, after running the cron steps as outlined in this video, do I still need to go back to my GoDaddy DNS records to point my domains to DuckDNS nameservers or add any record there?*
I have the exact same camera, but nothing works so I'm going to ditch Wyze altogether and move on
Hi, thank you for this type of automation. I have wired up as per your video. Would there be any chance of at least providing a few lines of simple Adruino IDE ESP8266 code to control the blinds via a web commands (e.g., 192.168.x.x/open or 192.168.x.x/close, 192.168.x.x/open-a-bit etc)? For me, its a bit of a hop-skip-and-a-jump to understand home server control of the blinds - basically a time consuming huge learning curve. Additionally, if you want to later, it would really help if you went through your more complex Adruiino code and home server configuration setup step-by-step (I have home server installed, but very new to it).
Great walkthrough! Thanks for this--it really helped.
Wyze do not permit more change the firmware. Any news?
This is exactly what i needed thank you
npc ahh
Do you by chance know how to find snapshots? mine has taken 250 of a print, but when i click on the "videos and images" tab in OctoPrint, no files show up? how do i locate it?
I just want to set an NFC tag to turn on a light and turn it off. Can you guide me or make a video?
yeah, this was fckn confusing
Any idea why I don't get any color blends? I get solid red green blue only. No blending between colors and no white. If I set the color to white the led strips shuts off. I'm using ws8215 60 leds / meter strips
It turns out it was a power issue. Powering 5 meters of 8215 from my USB apparently does not give enough juice to run white. Once I added a power supply everything looks great.
I liked the clarity of your presentation in this video. I took note that you've used FastLED which I also use. And like you I find the ease of WLED very appealing. The question I'm looking to get answered is: Can I integrate some of my arduino/fastled sketches into a WLED playlist? If so, how? Thanks
Hope you are doing ok. It's been a while since you've put up a new video.
I have flashed the esp8266 dev board just as you have shown in the video (enormous thanks for that :)) but for some reason it still giving me the error message that "Serial port is not ready. Close any other application using it and try again." Can it be because I have a faulty wire or something ?? (I have no idea if the wire can transfer data or not....is flashing considered a form of data transfer though?? of is it just the port that's being flashed ??) Pls help me as Ive been on this for hours and havn't gotten anywhere :(:(
bro, you went from 2*2=4 to complex math equation in no time!
I needed t o reformat my sd card to FAT32 and then I also noticed that my card reader displayed 2 drives. I may have chosen the wrong drive/partition to copy the files to. If your SD card is successfully recognized by the camera you should hear a ding noise when you insert it.
you cut down the Python part, what you tipe in
one of the better tutorials. thanks.
Would have been nice if you had showed how to install or download the ESPTool. Doesn't seem to exist as a file.
drink a shot every time you hear "go ahead" good info thanks! 👏👏
thank you for this video.. helped me a lot. I havn't printed anything yet, but if want to print without timelapse, how does that work? or you have to enable timelapse before every print?
Hi will it work without wi fi?
take a guess... smh
