      @@BlueBotTech Have another problem, i want to connect Hyperion to WLED, but i need ip of ESP32 that i don't know, i tried to get ip from serial port monitor in Arduino IDE, tried static ip but if i flash that, WLED goes to void, (in serial port monitor only symbols that normal people can't read, like that: ⸮P⸮V⸮⸮ET⸮Q⸮UU⸮T⸮⸮-⸮Q) how can i get ip of my ESP32?

    Comprehensive and covers a lot. Just need a Mac version now! However, I did end up getting it to work on my Mac as it was pretty strait forward and the Python terminal commands were the same as on Windows.

    • @BlueBotTech
      @BlueBotTech  2 роки тому +1

      I’ll have to look into this more with the esp32. I have had some of the common issues with the d1 mini where memory fills up and it restarts. Once the restart is complete it appears back on the network though.

      @@BlueBotTech I have tried several things too. All devices in my home have DHCP bound static IP addresses. Only my Esp32's go offline. Both the nodeMCU style and the D1 mini formfactor. After programming a static IP in the ESP they stay on longer but still go offline after a random amount of time

    I have flashed the esp8266 dev board just as you have shown in the video (enormous thanks for that :)) but for some reason it still giving me the error message that "Serial port is not ready. Close any other application using it and try again." Can it be because I have a faulty wire or something ?? (I have no idea if the wire can transfer data or not....is flashing considered a form of data transfer though?? of is it just the port that's being flashed ??) Pls help me as Ive been on this for hours and havn't gotten anywhere :(:(

    @Blu Bot Tech on Min 5:05 you are activating some Scripts. The Scripts Folder is already in your WLED Folder you created just before in the Vid. Where do you get that Scripts from and what kind of Scripts are that?
    I Try to set up a brand new ESP32 and I am doing it for the first time, but I am stuck on that point of your vid.
    Thx :)

    Hey, i just got my first ESP32 module ever. I plugged it in and it blinked red for 3 times, then the led turned off completely. It seems that your LED is light up in red the whole time before flashing. My board doesnt show up on my pc. not even as unknown device. Is my board broken? would be nice if you could help me :)

      With the esp32, you usually have to hold the reset button while plugging it in so that you can write to it. Hope this helps!

    Any idea why I don't get any color blends? I get solid red green blue only. No blending between colors and no white. If I set the color to white the led strips shuts off. I'm using ws8215 60 leds / meter strips

    • @jeffvanhorn8933
      @jeffvanhorn8933 Рік тому

      It turns out it was a power issue. Powering 5 meters of 8215 from my USB apparently does not give enough juice to run white. Once I added a power supply everything looks great.

    • @BlueBotTech
      @BlueBotTech  3 роки тому +3

      This could be from a number of things:
      1) you're not including the .py extension
      2) you do not have the python virtual environment activated
      3) you are not in the directory that esptool is in.
      I hope this helps!

    • @sebasdt2103

      it means you haven't install the tool. you could download esptool via the command line, run this command to install it: " pip install esptool "

      This should be located wherever you ran your python -m venv command. You don’t need to work out of a virtual environment however, and can simply work out of any directory you choose.
