Making a fast lunch or eat it for dinner - Burger time
Переглядів 182 години тому
I grilled up a grass fed beef patty from Costco along with bell peppers that I had prepped last night. Add seasonings that you like to your burger. Instead of using a hamburger bun, I used Dave’s whole grain bread. I spread the cottage cheese mixture with ranch seasoning on the bread. Then add the peppers to the burger and some lettuce (I forgot to add the lettuce during the recording) and you ...

What I eat while taking a GLP-1, and lost 140 lbs

Tonight I made a low-carb burrito using Kirkland‘s grass fed beef seasoned with taco seasonings, and I added ranch beans to it to add a little bit more protein. I took some cottage cheese blended in my food processor to make it more like a sour cream and this time I used a quarter of a packet of ranch seasoning. I heated up the low-carb spinach tortilla on the griddle or you can use a Comal to ...
How to fix chips and scratches on patio handle
Переглядів 369 годин тому
I had a patio door handle. It had chips and scrapes and scratches and the paint on it looks like a glossy, almost vinyl type coating. I’m sure that it was powder coated in the factory so it’s kind of hard to replace exactly and I was a little bit in a hurry so I did not have time to try to sand it. I would recommend sanding it, but yes, I was kind of worried that I would just like pull off the ...

Looks delicious n I really like those wraps. Thanks for sharing ✨✨
@@marymary1083 thank you Mary it is very yummy 😋 it’s definitely surly been a go to food on this weight loss journey too 👍
That looks very tasty, Pam although I've never seen spinach tortillas here - very good, just goes to show simple and cheap doesn't have to be tasteless and boring! :)
@@nottherealmccoy4955 no problem, just use any low carb tortillas or chips or put on a bed of lettuce If you don’t have low carb, it won’t hurt to have one regular or corn tortillas. I just try to stay away from processed white flour when I can. But I have had regular tortillas now and then. Definitely a cheap lunch and dinner too 🙌😋
@@MounjarojourneywithPam It is! What is celtic salt?

SSSNAKESS... Haha, I grew up in NZ - no snakes - came to Australia and was terrified! I'm fine now, seen plenty & if you stay still, they'll just slither on by! :)
Martin when we visitors NZ, I was so happy when they said they have no snakes and they are very careful not to let any in. As As kid, I had nightmares of hundreds of of snakes chasing me around the house and that could be one reason I fear them so much.
Awwww hope your grandson feels better soon 🙏🏽❤️🩹❤️🩹 that scenery is gorgeous. Great job getting some walking in.
Thank you Mary. ❤

Dirty dozen - never heard of it or washing produce in baking soda, thanks for the tips! You're looking very trim in those jeans - I'm so close to (just) fitting into my only pair - refuse to buy a bigger pair that might be too big in a months time! Poor kid can't catch a break - it must be hard on you too, Pam! Tell him there are people from all over the world rooting for him & wishing him well! :)
@@nottherealmccoy4955 oh ya I leaned about it last year the dirty dozen and the clean 15 Here’s a link Maybe it’s a US thing because we use pesticides ? www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty-dozen.php
@@nottherealmccoy4955 aww thank you Martin I’ll tell him that. I’m so excited to finally start having thinner legs I’m also so much bigger below the waist and to see this change is making me so so happy and my heart is singing 😃 I think I should get a size smaller soon. Yes it is so hard and all of us have pitched in to help our daughter too, help with taking care of Z and younger brother who is 8. Especially all the months she stayed at the hospital during the week. He stayed with us and then his dad. Well he enjoyed being at our house because grandpa spoils him. I am cheering you on from over here across the pond. You can tell you are liking trim too 🙌🙌 how’s the leg coming along
It’s so nice that you guys are able to support and be with him throughout his health struggles. That looks like a great walking path. Ah yes the “dirty dozen” list
Yes thank you so much Heather 💜 thank goodness we’ve been able to do this. I save my sick time just in case I need to use it but currently I am off for 4 weeks as a teacher 🙌
Alright, Pam! Cool you have added DIY projects to your channel!
Thank you Gina. I’m having fun with it too 😀
Wow big weight loss week!!
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss yes, I was actually surprised when I went back to the scale app to compare too. In June, I lost 10 lbs too. I think all the sweating and being busy with those projects at the house made a difference I was too busy to prep meals and did eat as much. I really don’t like doing that too much though because I don’t want my BMR to go down too low the metabolic rate that gives you the calories your body needs I was at 1425 calories on the BMR last month now it’s 1413. I’ve learned that if you cut too many calories, it lowers the BMR so then when you do eat more, you can gain weight.
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss I have an instagram account too where I post quick things too Same name as the UA-cam channel
@@MounjarojourneywithPam yep exactly and when you go below bmr your body will lower your muscle mass to meet the new lower bmr.
@@MounjarojourneywithPam unfortunately I don’t have Instagram anymore, maybe one day again I will but for now I ditched it.
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss so many things we are learning Well I’m learning more all the time Oh so I was looking at my weight number and actually it was 4 pounds not 6. I had looked at the weight on July 1 and for them mixed up but even 4 lbs is a lot I don’t have those too often. Just now and then I’ll drop a lot then I’ll just hover around
Thanks so much for sharing. 🙏🏽 for your grandson. Hugs Deb
@@debp3810 thank you so much Deb 💜
Haha, quick spruce up & out the door! I bet these visits mean the world to grandson - knowing that someone really cares is the best medicine in the world! So, one pound down this week? :)
Well on Monday of last week, I was 178.6, today was 172.4.. oh wow 6 lbs down last week and I injected I to my left arm but I think it’s because I was working hard in the heat too and I skilled some meals. 🎉🎉🎉
@@nottherealmccoy4955 yes he really enjoys us being there with him especially when grandpa goes. He was there during the weekend when he needed him the most too Mentally he was very frustrated w his care team. Today we have one of his best oncologist who makes things happen 🙌
Oops I was 176 last Monday close that’s actually 4 lbs down not 6. But wow that’s still a lot I think it was all the work I was doing at the house and I wasn’t resting as much
@@MounjarojourneywithPam That chemo must brutal to damage bone - sounds horrible but he has a wonderful family to support him and youth on his side - such a brave young man, you must be very proud of him! :)
@@MounjarojourneywithPam Haha, 4lbs is excellent!
Oops my last graphic was missing a number 313 to 173 is what it should have had
With lots of small kids I definitely need more of these in my house 😅
Oh yes I totally understand and I had grandsons grow up in the same house and then time with teenagers ha ha
Haha love the intro! Either name works but handy pammy sounds more fun and like your sweet personality
Heather thank you so much! I appreciate your idea, I don’t think I would have thought of this without you 💜
@@MounjarojourneywithPam no problem! It’s all you, I just liked what you were doing and thought you should keep doing it!
Pam, don't you ever sleep? Nifty tool that roller - my bedroom window screen needs replacing - now I know how, thankyou! :)
Ha ha 🤣 I have to admit that this week I did not get my 7-8 hrs a night . I only had to buy 3 things the screen fabric roll, the vinyl spline, and spline tool I already had the blade knife (exacto?) and Phillips screwdriver Most ppl have those too
@@MounjarojourneywithPam Throw in extreme heat - time for a rest day, young lady! Cheap fix when you do it yourself - very impressed!
@@nottherealmccoy4955 he he thank you 😊 yesterday, I took a break in the middle of day and only worked outside until noon so it was much much better. I keep trying to upload some more videos but UA-cam studio is still staying its processing ugh and it’s been 14 hours I even tried uploading again and the same issue. Have you ever had this problem?
@@MounjarojourneywithPam No, takes an hour or 2 usually - it's all automated too, no real person to call for help frustrating- comments and replies disappear too!
@@nottherealmccoy4955 Darn it I’m going to try downloading from the app I use called InShot and then directly upload to see if that works

@@MounjarojourneywithPam yes it’s true!
I found your channel this week. Thank you so much for sharing your history in this video. I have so much in common with you, including gastric bypass, beginning weight of over 300 pounds. my start weight was 360. Ive been on Zepbound for 3 months. I switched to compounded Tirzepitide this week. Your channel is a wonderful find for me.
Annette I’m so happy to hear this and glad you found me I hope I can offer hope that this works. I’m thinking that since we had bariatric surgery, it seems to help us get back the same success that the surgery offered As a tool plus having both together seems to be helpful too. I just started making videos about 3 months ago after another person said I could offer tips or experiences from my history too Please continue to comment on anything you have questions about Mai try to be an open book to offer any help I can It will be one year of taking Mounjaro in just 2 weeks and it’s really gone fast. It doesn’t feel like a year. I’ve been able to stay with the same brand but many haven’t been able to. I’m very happy with the Tirzepitide The formulas are the same in Mounjaro and Zepbound so the compounded Tirzepitide seems to be just as good or better. First tips are to drink enough water (aim for 80 oz minimum), focus on proteins (plant base protein and or animal based), get 7-8 hrs of sleep and don’t eat when it’s dark outside. :) oh and take your multivitamins. I was bad with that and with bariatric surgery, you already know how we are deficient Good luck and I look forward to hearing how it goes for you
Like the bloopers. Name the series!
Ha ha Oh yes I need to make a playlist and call one bloopers (they make for great shortz “ and HandyPammy. I need to create an avatar or Bitmoji wearing a tool belt he he

Handypam yes 🙌

I just love that song now ha ha 😆
Well, well, well... a post WLS sister on Mounjaro! So nice to "meet" you and I am glad I found your channel. I had an RNY in 2001 and lost 210 lbs. Then gained it all back and more. In 2022, I was in the hospital with COVID complications and weighed 405 lbs. The fabulous electrophysiologist (cadiac specialist) told me if I didn't change my life, I was going to live in a nursing home. I immediately stopped eating Uber Eats and lost 40 lbs in 4 months. Then I was put on Trulicity (HbA1c 9.0) and shockingly, I had zero idea about GLP-1s because I do not watch any social media or the news. Anyway, lost 86 lbs on Trulicity over a year. I have been on Mounjaro x 9 months now and my total loss is now 232 lbs... down to 173 lbs. As you know, life has been transformed! My HbA1c is now 5.1 and has been in the low 5's for 6 months now. Off most meds except psych meds. Can walk 3+ miles at a time whereas I was using wheelchairs out and had to use walker inside. So much more to share! I have a blog (username .com) where I share my excursion and a variety of clinical obesity and medical information about GLP-1s. I was a midwife and birthworker for 32 years and love tapping into my life experiences being fat and losing a great deal of weight twice. (I lost 111 lbs on Fen-Phen.) Anyway, as @AnchorMoments (Gina) and I know each other as well, we might as well be sisters from another mother, too! I also encourage you all to check out _TheDownsized_ channel here in UA-cam. Not my channel but Laraine and Christopher Durham's channel and they do interviews with folks JUST LIKE YOU! I know Laraine would love to meet you! Subscribed! And I LOVE the central coast of CA! The beach looks good on you.
You started at 313 to 176 congratulations that’s so awesome. 1 year. What’s your goal?
Hi Valerie thank you for being back and apart of this community and Commenting first of all :) yes I spent many years at 310-313 it’s definitely been a life long struggle. When I had gastric bypass 24 years ago, I got down to 155 or 160 I was able to eat a pants size 10 and so liked that size. Although ai think it would be great to be under 150, I just don’t know if I could maintain that weight. I definitely want to be below the obese category on a BMI chart, as I am so tired of seeing medical reports that say I am obese If I can stay in the overweight category, that will be good to me. I know the excess skin will add some extra pounds too. In my mind, I am thinking about trying to get to 160, but if I am able to go down to 150-155- that would be icing on the cake per se Well that’s how I feel about it right now 😃
Congratulations..how long were you on each dose
Thank you for asking. On the beginning dose of 2.5, only the first 4 weeks, then my NP titrated me up to 5.0- for 2 months, then 7.5 for 2 months and since Jan 1, 2024, I’ve stayed on 10 mg and it still works
Congrats on your almost one year anniversary on mounjaro! You look great! 🌞
Thank you Gina, I’m so excited to have my 1 year anniversary on Mounjaro coming up . I wonder what I could do to celebrate? Maybe I could do a live on UA-cam
Wow you should do more video clips of all the repairs and things you’ve been doing. The trim and transition piece, spackling and all that would be very entertaining and motivating everyone to try to do things themselves more! I’m always looking to learn how to do more of those type of things and let me tell you your spackling job looked fantastic! I have tried two medium areas and it looks so horrible lol going to have to cut it back out and start again! I can’t remember if I mentioned it yet but have you tried a vibration Plate before? And did you find out yet if you do have lipedema? I got the lifepro regular waver plate and it helps so much with inflammation and soreness in my legs and back and tons of people use it to help with lipedema. They are having a sale right now too!
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss wow Heather I really didn’t think anyone would want to see the repair projects ha ha and funny because I live watching videos like that too maybe I’m Intimidated of the critiques but since I’m just a beginner at this or a beginner who has had a little practice, I should t let that scare me I could set up my camera stand and record this stuff. Wow 😮 thank you for telling me this. Now my brain is churning. I have had to repair quite a few drywall holes too ha ha having 3 grandsons who did and still do spend a lot of time with us over the years. In react I have a repair that is waiting to be Romine done so I’ll record it 💪🏼😃 wow thank you Heather I really appreciate this feedback. 💜
@@HeatherPaulineWeightloss oh I haven’t booked an appt yet to check on the limpedema and I have t heard of the vibrating plate I need to look into that . At first I thought you were taking a it the cutter that vibrates so that you can cut trim or flooring. Oh I even layed out flooring before and practice making miter cuts on the baseboards Oh was that hard and I need more practice he he
@@MounjarojourneywithPam yes for sure! It’s actually really nice watching someone whose just a normal person doing these types of things because the tradesmen use a lot of terminology over people heads or extra tools etc but there a lot of people out there that must do everything themselves and have no idea where to even start and could watch and attempt to just try the things. I always tell my husband now “well let’s try to do this ourselves, if it turns out good then yay! we saved a ton of money, if it turns out bad then we end up having to pay someone which we originally would have had to do anyways” 🤷🏼♀️
@@MounjarojourneywithPam yes I am hve lived in our house for almost five years and our base trim is still not legit 😆 those cuts are way over my head!
